Only just realised there's no commentary

Getting pretty accustomed to the Super Star difficulty now, just beat England 1-0, I was Italy. Scored a curler from 25 yards with Diamanti .

It's weird though, I played on Top Player level a few games and got annihilated by the computer, on the counter attack especially. But on Super Star, supposedly the most difficult on them all, I don't seem to have that problem.

I am torn on this demo.

On the one hand it is the best PES I have played since PES 6. Movement and reactions look and feel much better than previous games this gen.

How ever I do have some rather large problems.

1. The A.I is useless. They won't make runs and rarely try to find space.
2. The Keepers are pure crap. Shoot low and they have no answer. really poor.

Also as somebody who has really been away from this franchise for 6 years it seems the controls are rather overly complicated and complex for no real reason.

I mean why have uncomfortable button configurations like RT+RB + face button  it isn't natural or comfortable

I am enjoying the demo though but it still isn't without big problems for me.

RB/RT and a face button isn't natural or comfortable? That's...strange. It's been the same case for god knows how long in football games amongst most other games too.

Have I missed any news regarding Bundasliga? Still wishing they would put the league in and get either full or more licensing for that, certainly for Dortmund.

Ganso is also awesome on this, great passing and a lethal left foot, opens up teams alongside Neymar.

Bundesliga is always going to be a no go on any PES game for now until eternity, Konami can't afford the license.

they could always add a unlicenced one and add the already licenced german teams in it... as they could also easily licence the classic teams & players... lazy basterds

I don't know why they haven't so far, I can only guess for fear of legal action for any "likenesses" used without permission.

Really? For me the AI is one of the best things about the demo. Multiple players off the ball are constantly making runs and switching position to provide solid options.

I just wish the button to make a player go on a run wasn't the impossible-to-click-quickly R3 button...

I've been practising that, trying to take advantage of it ... all I end up doing is losing concentration of the actual player I'm controlling and losing the ball. It's a nice function but could be a little easier to execute, I wonder whether it can be remapped.

I have to say I find it easy. I barely even click it in, simply flick it towards the player with a slight click at times. Sometimes it does send the wrong player running on the odd occasions, but yeah, never had trouble with this.

Though manual use is a different matter. Hard as sh*t because I lose all focus and pay attention to the player making the run, not realizing I'm losing the ball at the same time.

The same issue was talked about before- why not KONAMI being able to put an unlicensed Bundesliga in.

Its because the Bundesliga have exclusive rights (very exclusive) so its either licensed or not. I remember the German FA once sueing KONAMI when they used an unlicensed Bundesliga a few PES's ago (PES 6 I think).

@Thori. The reason why there are no commentators in the demo because the commentatory is the same and only a few lines have been added it to it so it is still poor. It still is going to feature Jon Champion and Beggers.

Has anybody tried the following feature?

This leads me onto a potential key element in PES 2013, and perhaps one element that could redefine the genre – dynamic one-twos. By pressing L1 + pass, you can then make the player who has just passed the ball move in any direction with a flick of the right stick. Doing so right now creates infinite possibilities in directing your attack, and allows you to change the run of the passer from simply moving forward.
--------------------------------------------------------

That sounds like a revolutionary feature, I can see myself moving horizontally from right to left with Xavi Hernandez, creating passing angles, etc. Has anybody tried this feature?

Yeah, I switched to it from 10 minute matches a while back. It really does eliminate the 0-0 draws, but only just. I find the game isn't quite as hectic and rushed as well. I'll certainly be playing my next ML on 15 minute matches. I do hope they got rid of the shit PES Shop this round. Hardly anything is worth having.

They haven't got rid of it but from a football life video released by KONAMI, there will be some useful accessories such as training material which help you in master league - dumbells, training poles etc.

Take a look at this video (near the end to be specific but could be useful to watch the whole thing anyway)

iv never understood how ppl can just buy either PES or FIFA and miss out on the game they do not buy. to the ppl that do that do you not get the feeling of you might be missing out on something eating away at you? i have to buy both games every year reguardless of which 1 is better than the other. its like FIFA this year is sure to be pretty much the same as fifa 12 gameplay wise. but can you really afford to miss out its manager mode with the inclusion of internationals etc. i think FIFA is worth 40 quid this year just to sit their simulating matches in its improved manager mode

YES, it is brilliant. I didnt even know about it at first, but I was looking on the command list at "new additions" and it had dynamic-one-two's and thought konami were taking the piss because at first i didnt read the involvement of the right analogue stick. But it works well

That's what FM is for.

Has anyone pulled off a sombrero flick? I nearly did once or twice but there was more than one defender around so the other one headed it away. I can see this working well online though.

so tonight the PSN store is down for maintenance. Unseen forces do not want me to have this game because they fear my U.S. review.
