Most of you will have been playing the new game for at least 24 hours now, so what do you think? Does the latest installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series live up to your expectations?

Vote in the poll and leave your views.

i would have said yes because the gameplay is much better but the lack of features on the 360 makes me say no

24hrs later

I spent most of yesterday winning the 2nd div and cup in masters league on the 360.
To be honest I think there is a great improvment in gameplay and A.I.
and I know the games good because I wanted to keep on playing unlike 30 mins off FIFA games.
I am very disappointed about the obvious i.e no editing, no saving replays ect..., so I think we have been ripped off. I can not understand why these things have not been included. Surely Konami and MS do not think we are stupid enough to buy them in the marketplace.
As usual the new pro evo takes a good few games to get into but play it for a while and the small differences really stand out in the gameplay.
Pro Evo has always been the first choice for real console footy players and that is still the case but I feel Konami and MS have shot themselves in the foot.
1/10 for content 9/10 for gameplay and graphics

i havent noticed any real difference apart from the slower gameplay in pes6,will play it alot more later will have a better idea then

one thing im not happy with is the ps2s editing section, its exactly the same as pes5 with only 2logos for kits and the same tools for editing the boots, its a bit lazy by konami

il have to say im undecided at this moment

I'm absolutely happy with the game... especially after a disapointing PES season with PES5.

I like every part of the game, superb.

DILKINGTON!
I have the PS2 version & think it is good. :)

As with every PES game it takes a bit to get used to the changes.

I think it will be even better once the full option file becomes available!

hey,i didnt think pes5 was mediocre!!!!jus the foluin pished me off!

my simple answer to this poll,gr8 addictive game,in the second season of ml and played a fair few online games, awesome, reinstate the edit mode and we have a 9.9/10 game!without it i see it as a 7.9/10 game.its all about gameplay, despite the lack of licenses i will be playin the 360 version for the next year, fifa has licenses and i cud only play that for a week!

i arent gona vote in this thread as i dont really want to say im happy with the 360 game,i love it but its not full strenght and we all set high standards 4 our pes series!

Have it on X360, and definitely satisfied despite the lack of saving replays and editing.

Had PES6 for PS2 for two days now and have only really been playing it two player with my bro.

Definitely a worthy sequel and not really disappointed with anything...

Well there is just one thing. It's been well documented about the 'dodgy' keepers in WE10 and although they say they have been improved they do seem to parry far too much. You can no longer rely on a world-class keeper between the sticks but this does have an upside.

None of the games we've played so far have been goaless draws, and you have the feeling that goals will come with numerous shots outside the box. I mean one of the games we played yesterday ended 7-6, yes.. 7-6! :shocking:

It was a great game entertainment wise and both of us are attacking players so I'm sure one of us could & should have closed the play, but that hasn't happened with any of the other installments. You could argue about the realism but like I said there are upsides to such a style of the game it has now become.

Anyway just wanted to spout that, rather than making a seperate thread for all my gripes (take note n00bs!).

I'd give the game a 4 (out of 5) so far therefore I have voted that I am happy with PES6.

I have it for the 360. Very satisfied. The smooth and well-paced gameplay nearly make up for the lack of features. And the graphics are a step up from the PS2 despite what some people say.

I have the PS2 version. The game is a great.
There's just so much more variety in animations for dribbling, controlling the ball and shooting, and everything flows so much easier.

I've played a few games with big score lines but I think they will become less common when everyone gets used to defending and tackling.
It seems harder to dive in to win the ball than PES5 because it's easier to dribble past defenders. You have to learn to stand off and just get in the way until the time is right to tackle.

But I've not been able to stop playing.
