Pes6 = Too Fast

Opinions are like ass holes, everyone has one, let the guy cry, we PES gamers know that this is a simulation, you have to have some knowledge about football to enjoy PES, people who claims this game is bad, are for sure bad at football knowledge as well. Nuff said.

Instead of creating another useless thread I thought I would post my opinions here.

- Decent game, I wouldnt say its the best but its much better than PES5, doesnt seem that slow but is enjoyable after a while, and thank god Konami have sorted out the goal nets, perfection may I say, << thats just me I have the horn for goal net movements.

I think it's brilliant to be honest. It could end up being the best so far.

One thing I've noticed is how deservedly good Italy are for once. Unstoppable. Well, that makes sens seen as how they just won the World Cup. Ahem.

Talk about it, England vs Italy second game on Pes6, I lose 3-0. England are shite, Crouch is under-rated.

The shit:

Not been able to register players.
Too dark.
When a friend comes online, the game slows down.
A few transfers missed.

Other than that, it's great

Bullshit. I just bought the game after playing the demo for a weak and I LOVE it! I advise you to play the game for another 10 hours and then tell us what you think of it.

here we go again any one remember the release of pes 5 and all the pes 5 is shit because I cant be bothered to take the time to play it. my opinion of pes6 is that it is the better football game yes fifa has taken steps forward but looking at the 360 version of fifa it still looks like fifa pes 6 plays like a pes game so it's quite easy for me which is the better game.

pes compared to we10 also comes off the better game the game play is a lot slower passing smoother allowing for great build up play animations are a step up from pes5 all pro evo fans will appreciate this game people who stick with the game and know how to play it will get the best out of it which applies to nearly every one on this site if you don't like realism in your footy game however I'm sure they guy's at ea will welcome your support.

I just bought Pes6. Who started this thread is a fucking stupid guy its ridiculous. PES6 is the best game ever done and he is comparing it to FIFA07! hats a offence for this world. Enjoy pes6 its a lot different but its the real fooftball.

I suggest everyone creates his own opinion after playing the game. If it is indeed shit, just bring it back to the shop, and grab the good old PES5 or even FIFA07.

Definitely Maybe

Fucking hell man, he doesnt like the game, so what. It doesnt make you bigger or better people.

"He must be a Fifa fan"... er, so. Consumer market, I'll buy the better product rather than stick with one religiously.

Oh yes only slight graphical problem is when playing in game, the crowd (we've got one this version) goes 2D, and just looks like smudged shit. especially behind the goals, i'd rather have jus seats there than see that ugly brown smudge, just looks like PlayStation graphic crowds... shite.

Other than in game though the crowd looks real enough in replays etc.

Overall I think the game is good but there’s certain things that have annoyed me so far, like the fact you cant change the socks and shorts on the kit selection screen before a match, I found this a really useful feature on pes5 and for konami to remove it just seems plain stupid. Another thing is that there’s still Highbury included as we all know and no new Bayern ground and Stamford Bridge has been removed.

The edit mode is slightly improved but to me half the templates are same and I think there are only two sets of new number templates, which is a bit shit. Another thing I found bad is the fact that Konami don’t seem to really update many of the players in terms of stats and appearances I mean Tainio for Spurs still has long hair and a lot of other players look exactly the same as they did in pervious versions.

So to me the game is a slight improvement but the fact Konami released a shitty 360 version with limited features and a slightly improved ps2 version with updated kits etc I don’t really know what they've been doing over the last year or so ;)

Ok I expected a bashing.

But for the past few PES releases the players limbs have always moved too fast and its still the same.

I do agree that PES6 is still a good game and there are lots of positives about it.

But I just cant ignore how arcadey it has become.

I'm not a Fifa fanboy and I have been registered on these forums since 2003! So I'm not a newbie either.

This year its all about passing moves rather than just sprinting. Want to talk bout arcade style game, whats Fifa been for the last ten years mate, cos it certainly hasnt been the beautiful game has it? ;)

This years is all about sprinting rather than passing moves.

Fifa has NOT been good at all I totally agree. I hate Fifa as much as the rest of you.

This year is not all about sprinting, as its near impossible to outpace sumone unless your Henry, the opposition always close down quick and catch you easily. The CPU however can break through and you'll never catch up with them, bit of a contradiction but hey what we gonna do. As for you hating Fifa, good on you, they are the curse on the world, can't just admit they are the worst example of football ever created, and I know some of those Fifa guys, they are total wanks. Never Listen to you!!

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is absolutely awful!

Has anyone noticed how THE PLAYERS LIMBS MOVE TWICE THE SPEED OF SOUND? Its utterly ridiculous.

THE PLAYERS LIMBS MOVE TOO FAST! The whole thing is too fast. Its the way Konami avoid focusing on the most difficult parts of football to simulate.

PES has evolved into a poor arcade game thats worth a quid tops. Such a shame. The writing was on the wall with WE10.

I just tried to play a game (England vs Ukraine) and it was like being shown a football game stuck on fast-foward. It was like a blur of nothingness. No entertainment, no slow, intricate build up play...it was like a lack-of-skill Premiership game. He who can counter attack the best will win!

I am so ashamed to say it...but Fifa 2007 is actually better.....I cant believe it....a first! Fifa is like the more skillful continental game but PES is like some blind 3rd team skate about.

I am going to take my copy of PES6 back to the store because I can do without a glorified version of 'pong'. I think Konami need to totally re-think what they are doing with PES. Go back to the first ISS Pro on the playstation 1 and start again because imo that was a better game.

YOu say ITS FAST hahaha its the slowest game since iss 64 lol

surely the most important things are in this order:

1. gameplay, in the case of pes this should be realistic rather than arcadey
2. accurate stats. incredibly hard to get these right as players are highly inconsistent in real life, the consistency stat seems too simplistic to reflect this. what konami haven't been great at is keeping up with clear permenant changes in a player's skill levels in the real world. if sol campbell isn't a whole lot worse this season it'll show that they've not paid a great deal of attention over the last year.
3. range of tournemants. PES in very bad at this. to me it seems natural that people want to play in a format that exists in the real world. so whereas konami seems pleased with the master league, what we really want is the master league features (transfers, development) in a system including the english, spanish, italian and german upper tiers. EA understand formats much better than KONAMI.
4. interface, ease of navigation. this is pretty poor in PES too.

and the list goes on until

10000. changing the socks.
