My brother had to wait for two weeks to fix it. How much did it cost you?

I never knew about the full screen youtube. I usually access the website and press the R3 to zoom it.
It was free.

I've found out that because the LittleBigPlanet disc was in the PS3 when my problem occurred, it has now been wiped.:( Does anyone know of anywhere where LBP is going for really cheap?

Not bad.

Does anyone reckon I'd be able to get another copy from Sony? as I had no idea what I did would completely wipe the disc. It's a long shot but I don't really want to have to buy the game again.

So hang on, in sending your PS3 to get fixed, it has come back with LBP still in it but completely wiped? Like a blank disc?

I'd get onto Sony. They're normally quite good with customer service so I imagine they'd sort you out. Especially with LBP being Sony.

No. I meant that when the problem occurred with the bluray reader, LBP was still in the PS3. This has seemingly wiped the LBP disc. There was no disc in the PS3 when I sent it off to Sony.

No harm in trying. If unsuccessful you could always sell the blank game to cex. :shifty:

Why not just get a crossover ethernet cable between your PC and PS3 like I have and use the PC as a media server when you want to watch movies/programmes on the PS3?

He might have his Ps3 in a different room than his PC like i do. I too use an external Hard drive

Yeah but unless you have an adjacent wall to go through or a carpet to hide it under, you can't.

Actually you can do it wirelessly through a program like Tversity but i believe that goes through the wireless router and lags a bit.

Forget the carpet, have the cable showing. Be proud of your crazy network of cables! Drill some holes if you're that concerned :ninja:

On an entirely welcome sensible note: PS3 wireless is an abomination.

Yeah it really is terrible.

I've been playing Motorstorm Pacific Rift a lot lately and noticed a few others have it too. It really is a quality game, i've only managed to play P1 vs P2 so far, what are the other modes like?

I never knew that. I always transferred my movies to the PS3 hard drive because my PC only has about 6 GB free.
