fair enough, i apologise to anyone i have offended with my outspoken comments, in my defence i simply view this forum as a place were like minded pes players can mingle, i just cant see the point of people goin to the trouble off loggin on just to slag the game off, its almost an anti-pes forum lately ffs its a game to be enjoyed, if you've had enough of the game and dont like it fair play but why bother moaning just play somethin else.

I disprove your point because if the game was "favoring" someone I wouldnt be beating him on a consistant basis, we would have more of a 50/50 win percentage. If playing a sim type game with good passing and teamwork to set up scoring chances is manipulating the game then I don't know what to tell you.

Funnily enough, in some other site I read a similar comment from a guy, but that time the bashing was on FIFA and FIFA players.
Even though I'm a PES fan (ex-FIFA fan, BTW ), I had to respond to him saying that that was the most stupid and foolish argument I had read for some time, and PES don't really need those kind of arguments to be proven better than FIFA.


Anyway, these are endless discussions because at the end of the day it all comes down to personal tastes. I have a fifa-fanatic friend that have tried PES 2012 in my house.... and he actually liked the game (he didn't like PES 2011 at al, and I don't blame him). But he states clearly that even though PES has some positives over FIFA, he still prefers FIFA.
ON the other hand, I've also tried FIFA 2011 and now FIFA 2012, and I must say I noticed MANY improvements since 2008 (it was the year I converted to PES), and was quite pleased with the new features... but I state clearly: there are still things in PES that FIFA just can't recreate... and those things are actually the crucial part of any soccer simulator IMHO. So I state clearly: I'm not going back to FIFA anytime soon.

And it's not because I'm a muppet nor an idiot fan boy... it's just that I truly think that PES is indeed a superior game, no matter if EA is implementing new stuff to FIFA. PES still edges it for me, and that's that!

i think fifa has improved alot over the last 5 years but pes has got better and better aswell, the trouble with pes is it is such a complex game it takes quite a while to master it, it leaves you very frustrated at times and although its not the perfect game its as close as were gonna get, pes for me is awesome especially online

Im a full PES fan but 2012 is total shit. Just expressing my frustration here! Never seen such shitty football, defenders anticipate ur every moves, playing is not fun at all, Ive already broken my ps3 joystick, threw it against the wall coz I was f** angry...lets not even mentioned the graphics, it pixelate on my screeen. Well konami is pushing its fans away, im going to buy fifa as soon as possible coz I dont wanna break my ps3 or my led tv.

i played them for a while

PES 2012 is way better than FIFA 12 to be honest...

don't buy FIFA it's nothing comparing to PES

FIFA pays to ign and other websites to get high ratings

I bought FIFA because I hoped it will be better than PES, but it's not.

When you play FIFA there is nothing to learn, everything is easy.

PES takes more than a month to master.

Who really cares which is better? It's a personal choice. So stop arguing with each other saying that their opinions are wrong, that's dictator like. I personally can't get into either this year, for some weeks I really enjoy FIFA but when that irritates me I see the positives that PES has to offer and switch, and vice versa. Both games are improving each year, yes FIFA has better reviews but that's because it does exactly what it says on the tin and lets you play football and achieve what you want. PES however gets the job of football done, but takes you on more of a "dangerous adventure through a simple 90 minute zone" But still, does what it says on the front.

The question of which game is better is completely subjective. It doesn't really matter, in the same way that someone may prefer or like some food I don't particularly care for. The only way I could see this argument played out would be between the two games developers or something (some kind of pissing contest, maybe). I don't believe being only a player (or consumer) of a game gives one's opinion some sort of precedence over another's. Well, saying that, I guess being the creator of game really doesn't either.

I haven't tried FIFA 2012 (I've played the demo, which as okay). But brand (or corporate) loyalty of any kind is retarded, and any video game (or consumer) preference is not, to me, a proper definable human trait or characteristic (and if it was, I would find another way to gauge my humanity. Music and art, e.g.). But if I was to not buy FIFA games (or any other EA game), it would be because of EA's borderline shoddy business and marketing practices. But then again, most corporations shriek and retire to their coffins when hearing the word ethics .
