[PS3] Next-Gen Gameplay Evolution OF - All Players Edited, All Leagues & Strips 30-12

This is the culmination of a massive project to manually edit all players in the game to make the game more realistic, challanging and enjoyable.

It uses the VON option file as a base, including all team names, players, leagues, strips and emblems and big thanks should go to him for such an excellent file. If you have the VON file installed, all you need to do is switch the edit data file from this version.

This file is the most complete gameplay edit I have ever undertaken or probably ever been done. It plays much different to my prevously released PS3 file, in that players now move much better and are much more responsive.

The file can be downloaded at -

http://files.filefront.com/N+G+Gameplay+Evolzip/;12817263;/fileinfo.html

OF Description -

The aim this option file is to make the game more enjoyable, by hopefully making it more playable and more realistic when playing against someone else or the PS3 and more challenging in single player mode.

This has been done by amending the players stats, something I have been doing and releasing on PC and PS2 for years, but never on this scale. I would normally use 3rd party editor, but as none exists that can decode the PS3 saved games, I have done this manually, with much better results as set adjustments were not blindly made to all and any adjustment took into account the players original stats.

This option file uses the Von OF with all players manually edited in order to make them play more life like when controlling them or playing against them. Smaller teams now a lot more playable and difficult to beat, whilst bigger teams should now be harder to beat also.

Player movement and response increased to get rid of the “clunky” feel especially when using smaller teams.

This has been done so that people pick more than just the same teams when playing each other and when playing against the PS3, smaller teams will give you more of a game and not just be penned into their half all game.

A lot of players have been improved making transfer in the master league much more like real life as you don’t just look at the same few players each game, with smaller clubs having better squads worth building on or buying from.

Scoring should now be more life like, in that, chances will be fewer, but the forwards will be better and put away more of the chances they get. Attacking players should now stay ahead of defenders if they are faster than them and forwards at small clubs are now capable of actually shooting, instead of being given default rubbish stats because they don’t play for a big team.

After editing each club team in the game, I then went through each international team to pick up the rest of the players. I now find that playing major tournaments like the European Championships or the World Cup is very realistic and challenging.

This was designed to be played on Top Player, but obviously, some may enjoy it more at lesser levels.

Changes made and effect

Aggression – increased by 10 in most cases, though this is dependant on what the original stat of the player was. Players who had very high aggression have been increased, but not so that its extremely high. Players with very low aggression, have had theirs increased to at least the mid 70’s.

Increasing the combined aggression of a team will mean that they close you down quicker and will attempt to tackle you more. When controlled by the PS3, players with low aggression will just run along side you and not try to tackle. When controlled by a human, having a higher aggression will mean that your players will give the other team less space off the ball.

Teamwork – as aggression, increased by 10 in most cases, but dependant on what level this would take the player to. Teamwork, dictates how a team will pass the ball and understand each other. This stats is very important in the team you are playing against in single player. If a team consists of players with high teamwork ratings, they will pass the ball around well and attack in better more varied patterns.

Mentality – very much like teamwork in that it dictates a lot of how a non-human controlled team will play. Increased by 10 or dependant on original value.

Response, Agility, Balance – these stats govern how well a player moves. This has mostly been edited in players who had very low stats in these attributes. This is one of the major things that people first notice about a player and so, even if they have other high stats, the player will seem rubbish if they have low movement stats. I think that Konami has these stats far too low for players not at big teams, to the point were its almost no fun playing as their team. Why should a player at Bolton or WBA have a stat for Response that is 30 below someone at Man Utd?, obviously the players at the bigger teams will probably move better, but not to the degree that is in the original game. I think that its lazy programming when you dictate who is a good player by how much control you have of them. Hopefully, with increased stats for the lower end players on these attributes, more people will enjoy playing as a lot more teams or teams they support. Most players in the game have had these stats increased.

Shot Accuracy, Shot Technique – raised in some players depending on how well they play in real life. This is again stat’s that is unbalanced towards big teams in the game. Why should a forward at a small club have rubbish shooting stats when a midfielder at a bigger club has good shooting stats, yet in real life rarely scores? Most teams now have forwards with decent shooting stats and by that in mean somewhere around 80. A few players who are good forwards at smaller clubs have had their shooting stats raised by more. This makes it more life like and also means that more teams are capable of scoring against you and you are more capable of scoring decent goals with each team.

Acceleration, Top Speed – amended where needed. Most defenders at smaller teams have shocking speed stats by default, where Konami really haven’t paid attention to players other than the famous ones. These players have had the speed stats slightly increased. I have also increased the speed stats of a lot of forwards in the game as most are normally caught far too easily by defenders, who they could easily outrun in real life.

Short Passing Speed – I have used this stat to slow down some of the teams that became too fast when their movement stats where increased. All teams should now pass at a natural speed. This is a very important stat in deciding easy the game is, if you team has a lot of very fast short passers, your players are more likely to be in space when they receive the ball. Reducing this and increasing the top speed of attacking players in some cases, make the game feel much more life like.

As I don’t confess to know about all players and teams in game, you might choose a team to use that you think doesn’t play how it should, in these cases, please give feedback. If you want to edit them, have a look at the stat changes above, they are a good guide to changing the difficulty of the game.

I have tried to make each team playable and also difficult to beat and enjoyable to play against on Top Player. Hopefully you will find that teams are now more life like in their performance when you are controlling them or playing against them

All feedback welcome.

Instructions (please read!)

Got to say good work to start with, and it must of took you hours upon hours

It did.

I didn't start of wanting to edit all players in the game, just the top clubs that I would play against by myself or with my mates. Then I progressed to wanting to get the premier league and Italian league finished.

By that time, I had tested and played a lot of games with others and against the PS3, using these teams and knew more or less how to get teams to play how I wanted them to and thought the rest wouldn't take that long.

The bigger teams have been tested more, but teams like Porto, Benfica, Deportivo, Boca etc, have been played quite a bit and much more realistic and enjoyable to play with or against.

I played four player games last night and instead of everyone just picking the same teams as they would normally, people were picking teams they wouldn't normally go anywhere near as their players are rubbish on the default konami release.

Hopefully people will find that good teams are hard to beat and more teams are better to use.

There is much more players worth buying in the master league.

After finishing the clubs the International teams didnt take that long as a lot of the players where already edited.

I now find cup games with England against teams like Germany, Czech, Argentina, Italy, Portugal and Spain difficult and realistic and actually care if I win

you've explained very well why it is important to edit the stats and i agree with you all the way .one important question though my friend, where did you get your stats from?
because usually editing teams by your own will make teams and players that you know little about difficult .
i'm just asking because what u've done is what i have wanted someone to do for a long time now and with the right info and knowledge this would have to be the best option file around since you've also used VON'S FILE as base.

one important question my friend, where did you get the stats from?

The stats are the original stats from the Von file, which I think are the same as the default and then edited as described in the first post.

Like I say, I don't confess to knowing about every player in world football, but I do know how to make PES games play more realistic and have been doing it for years. If you do a search in google for chimps-with-quiffs, you will see other files I have released over the years on multiple formats.

From eidting the stats for so long, I know that if a team is too easy to beat compared to their real life version, which stats to change to make them harder to beat, without making them easier to control yourself when you select them and also how to make a lot of players, play like they do in real life.

The purpose of this is to make all teams play better when you play against them and to also make the team you play as, more enjoyable to control.

The hardest thing about it is getting the balance in the team you are controlling and the team you playing against, so if you are playing as a smaller club against a bigger team, it will be hard, but at the same time, the smaller teams players will be better than they were originally and actually capable of passing, moving and shooting well and at the same time, when controlling a better team, you will have more skilled players, but all other teams will also be able to put up a fight against you.

I could carry on describing what I have done for a long time as there is quite a lot to it, but the proof really is in trying the option file.

This uses the 1.04 Von OF as that was the first "complete" option file, with all slots that can be used in the master league filled with teams, their strips and correct names and emblems.

I think the later files add two more teams, but as I had already started on the 1.04 version I didnt want to keep restarting everytime there was a small update as this has taken a lot of time.

Although this will have slightly fewer teams, I think it has a lot more playable teams and hopefully goes someway to making the game a lot more enjoyable and realistic.

I don't know about each player in the game, but when you look at the smaller teams, it becomes clear that neither does Konami and I would say that living in europe and watching a lot of football from around the continent, I know more about how a lot of the players play than Konami.

If you look at the less famous club teams in the original konami OF, their players have almost the same stats with slight changes. Defenders, unless they have played at a big club at some point, will have low agility, balance and response and forwards will have very poor shooting stats.

I have increased these so that smaller teams will play better as simply giving players low stats as they don't play for a big club makes for poor gameplay and limits the teams and players that anyone wants to use, whilst at the same time testing them with the bigger teams and making sure there is still a gap in how good the teams are.

Most of the players that I don't know, have been edited in a way that attempts to create how their team plays.

I would say that now, players will be less valued by simply there speed and more to do with their technique, passing, shooting and intelligence

i'll give it a try and will get back at you because you edit just like i edit i see because the testing is the most important part.
but that takes alot of time.
but sites like these do help me out a lot especially with the players i don't know. http://forums.evo-web.co.uk/showthread.php?t=22775 http://forums.evo-web.co.uk/showthread.php?t=27619 http://www.pesstatsdatabase.com/

It did take a lot of time. Right from the release of PES2009 I was trying to get teams to play better, but I could use a lot of what I had learned from editing previous versions.

There is a lot of testing gone into this file. Some of the teams have been completed over a month ago and have since been only slightly tweaked.

I also noticed that the game plays different depending on what stadium you use. There are stadiums that play faster, such as the San Siro.

i think you done a great job and am happy that i can play the likes of stoke and not be able to rest all my team because they give me a game and not just stay in there own half passing

Thanks,

That's exactly what I was trying to achieve.

How are you finding the likes of Torres? He has been edited quite a bit and is pretty deadly when you play against him. With the original stats he didnt seem that good as he wasnt one of the fast forwards.

Yeh torres is alot better because it made Keane look the better striker befor and now you can see torres is as great as in real life,
might be abit biast saying this but what do you make of gerrards stats, maybe you could look at the and see if he could be inproved abit#

cheers

Nice , but.... why the people never remember the usa type ?

Apologies, but I have never even looked at the USA's files.

I am not sure if I would need to edit a whole new file to get it to work and in that case I wouldnt as this file took months
