[PS4] Adding back "hidden"/removed players

I did it slightly differently to yours, philips_99 ... so I added a created player (random) to any team then export that team.

I then:
 1. decrypt the .ted
 2. edited via SMcCutcheon and changed that player ID to the hidden player ID
 3. encrypt the .ted
 4. import the .ted via in-game Edit mode

so we'll see that hidden player face shows up in the created player ..then I did the reset for that player as per your process ..

but this is what differs to yours ... I then remove that player from the team .. then if I check in FA pool , I can see that hidden player .. and if I check the created player pool, the fake one is there (with no club). I was thinking to re-import the original .ted but then I think .. what's the purpose because the squad hasn't changed from its original state.

I thought i share my process thought; both obviously works :)
If you look back on PAGE 2, that is how I do it.

So after you re-import, that created player is able to be deleted and will not effect the added new player,

Hey, sorry I only saw this now (probably because of the problems the forum was having before the update, when the new posts weren't showing up). I updated the main post, can you please check if it's correct? I remember that when I tried with a created player it didn't work for me, but I might have done something wrong so I will try again when I have the time.

Sorry if this has already been answered. But is there a list of removed players anywhere?

@philips_99 great find buddy!

Based on PESMaster, I've been trying to find out what players with real faces might have been removed from the game (basically, I searched with these filters: https://www.pesmaster.com/pes-2020/search/?face=yes&type=default&team=Free&sort=ovr&sort_order=desc). Turned out to be a lot more than I expected, I was actually surprised with the number of potential real face players that were removed from the game. I actually made a list of players my game was missing, but it might be different from your game since I had some missing squad updates at the moment. I uploaded it to the Drive anyway, if you want to check it out (it might not be complete, and it includes several legends since they were appearing in the list as well, but most are "normal" players that were removed):

In addition to this, many many more players without real face have been removed, I recovered like 50-60 for my LigaPro project and by looking at this I believe there are many more.

Checked your .xlsx file. Seems you are missing a lot players. Did you installed PES 2020 after the 2nd or 3rd DP? Also isn't D. Zakaria playing for your Swiss NT?
From every player mentioned till now, i was missing only Ansu FAti , whom i restored, without any PC tools, just by a second profile PS4 profile, that i booted without internet connection.

Yes I'm missing a lot of players, probably other people aren't missing as many. I don't know why, but my PES 2020 is a digital version, and I bought it in November (I don't remember if it was after 2nd or 3rd DP). Also, the last time I updated squads and NT teams was after the winter transfer window (in february), I don't know if that has anything to do with D. Zakaria being or not being in game.

Now on PES master says that he plays for Swiss NT. So i assume , whatever happened , if you make the EURO 7.0 update he will be back!

You know what, i feel you so much. I have the digital version too. This year and the last year, i really wanted to wait till post-season and buy the game in a really burgain discount, just to punish KONAMI and show my cavil, also let the bloody Live Updates past and be easy to update my game manually without interventions!

But after tons of discussion with @sobakus on how database works,i realize that since i am on console and want to buy digital version, i am type of "forced" to buy the game day one, just to avoid these side-effects of KONAMI removing so valuable free agent players. It is kind of trap, to make us buy the game day one imho! :( It is really annoying!

I still haven't done the latest update since I haven't played lately (quite busy with other things at the moment), but I will do it soon, so maybe that's why :)

Those side-effects can suck, but at least the PES community develops these kind of amazing tools that allow us to fix them, so it's not so bad. But yeah, it is annoying.

Thanks buddy! I’m reworking my OF to maximise the number of players in my edit mode that show up in ML. I’m using NT duplicates to make teams and then have lots of left over default fake players. I’ll use your lists to bring back removed players too.

Thank you very much!

Ok, so the players in yellow were once in the game, but have since been removed?

Those players in yellow are players that have real face and are in the game database (according to PESMaster, which is usually pretty reliable) but won't show up in game - at least in my game. It includes both players who were removed and others like Legends which don't show on the game either. Other people have said they have those players in game, but on mine they aren't there. So I recommend you search out for a few to see if the list matches or not.

As I said before, I found them out using this list: https://www.pesmaster.com/pes-2020/search/?face=yes&type=default&team=Free&sort=ovr&sort_order=desc

And many more players without real face might have been removed as well. This list shows free agents without real face, of course not all of them are missing but it might be worth checking out a few: https://www.pesmaster.com/pes-2020/search/?face=no&type=default&team=Free&sort=ovr&sort_order=desc

Fortunately, those missing players can be recovered with one of the methods on the main post :) I already did it with some players for my 2nd portuguese league option file

Hey!

So, I've been preparing to make my 2nd portuguese league on PES 2020 (PS4), and I've noticed that many "free agent" players that I could find on PESMaster's database weren't on the game (removed on updates?). However, after some time messing around with SMcCutcheon Tool, I think I have found out a way to recover them.

I'm sure that I'm not the first one doing something like this (after all, it was probably with a method like this that we have files for the MyClub Legends and all of that) but I still thought it would be worth discussing this here, just in case anyone has a better method or wants to do the same on their projects.

So, this is what I did:

- Exported a team (I did it with WE United, but should work with other teams as well) and copied it to the PC.
- On PC, I decrypted it with Panos tool (avaiable on Evo-web) and opened it on SMcCutcheon's tool (also avaiable on Evo-web).
- Went to PESMaster website and searched for the player I wanted to add. The one I used to test this was Barnes Osei (https://www.pesmaster.com/b-osei/pes-2020/player/60873/).
- Copied the ID of the player, which you can see on the URL of the PESMaster webpage (in this case, 60873).
- Went back to SMcCutcheon's tool, chose a player from that team, and replace the ID with the ID from B. Osei (60873). Didn't touch name, stats or anything else.
- Saved the .ted, and encrypted it again. Then copied to the USB flash drive.
- Went back to PS4, imported the modified .ted file (ticked the 2nd box, the one that says something about player data). Then, went to the team (WE United in this case), went to the player I modified and pressed triangle to reset it. And here it was, the player with all it's stats, face, details, etc.
- Then I re-imported the original .ted file (the one I exported in the beginning, unmodified). The team (WE United) was back to normal, and the player I wanted to add was now in free agents, ready to be put in any team I wanted.

EDIT: alternative method by Buckshot/Neymarinho:
With this method you have to manually add some players to a team before exporting, but it has the advantage that you don't need to re-import the original team afterwards (like I did on the first method).

- Add some created players or fake/free agent players to a team (as many as the number of "hidden" players you want to add) and then export that team.
- On PC, decrypt it with Panos tool (avaiable on Evo-web) and open it on SMcCutcheon's tool (also avaiable on Evo-web).
- Go to PESMaster website and search for the player you want to add. Copy the ID (you can see it on URL of the PESMaster webpage).
- Go back to SMcCutcheon tool, replace the ID of a fake/created player you added to that team with the ID of the player you want to add. (Repeat for all the players you want to add)
- Save the .ted, encrypt it again and copy it to the USB flash drive.
- Go back to the PS4, import the .ted you just edited (don't forget to tick 2nd box to apply player data).
- Navigate to the team, then reset the player(s) (if it's a created player I don't know if you still have to reset). Then, on the "Transfers" menu, remove the player from the team to send it to free agents, or transfer it to another team if you want. The (formerly) hidden player has been added into the game; the fake player you used to replace the ID will still be in free agents and the team you used will still be on it's original state, since you didn't touch any of it's players (so, no need to re-import the original .ted file).

Those methods seems to work well, but I still haven't tested actually playing in Master League or anything like that. But my guess is that it will be fine.

Anyone has a better or easier method? Or has anyone tried doing this? Any known problems this might cause in game?

Thanks a lot, I hope this can be useful :)
Do we need to tick “update added” player box in the SMcCutcheon tool?

@Buckshot i want to do some reverse engineering like i did with Ansu Fati, but this time for Legends by Junior Mantis. And i want ask you, if you know , how it works, in order to do it again.

So short story, i opened an old PES2020 from my un-updated profile, i found Ansu FAti, sent him to Melbourne Vicotry which i use as my Guinea Pig, exported the Melbourne.ted, went to my main PES2020 profile, imported Melbourne, signed Ansu Fati to a fake Club, applied live update, to revert Melbourne Victory and voila, it worked and no other player was messed.

My question is, can i do the same with legends? I mean:
go to my old profile, import them from mantis, moe them to Melbourne, export, go to main profile, import to Melbourne Profile and hae them as extra players, not replace the existing fake Classic players.
Do you think it is possible?

Should as the unlocked players in Mantis file have their own Player IDs. I remember his first file he released that were over World and Euro Class teams sent the fake players on those teams to Free Agents because they were new Player IDs. That is why I had created that Dumbed Down file for those fake players ratings..............I haven't checked if all the other files he released like the team over Rayong S does the same thing. I am thinking a good rule of thumb mimus Gerrard is those with Mini Map Faces.

Thanks, so i hope they are like assigned newID players. If it works like this , it is a win-win, cause i keep the minifaces in gameplan and i can separate and choose , who legend to import and who not.

Very easy to use. The TED Editor is for editing PS4 TEDs on a PC. You can move a team and players in matters of minutes. Bring thousands of new players into the game instead of using Free Agents. Pretty easy to get the hang of after messing around with it. Great tool to create your own custom OF because doesn't matter where teams were created over as in matter of minutes you can change the Team ID and Player IDs and have where you want it. All you need is the decrypter and TED Editor and Excel.

Yes those tools are for PS4. They are very good tools for OF making (I'd say essential), see what Buckshot said above. They are not hard to use either and are faster than the base-copy method to move teams around slots. But moving teams is not the only thing this tool can do, as you can see on this thread it's also possible to recover players that have been removed in updates (including some with real faces) or even add completely new players (like Buckshot said), like if you were at Konami adding live update players. The "downside" is that you need an updated Excel (I have the latest version not sure what versions does it work on)
