I just installed the DP2 and swapped around the teams again, it seems that everything is working fine, at least for ML.

I'm hearing that even when you've swapped the teams back, there are problems. Konami have deleted a lot of free agents, including players who were previously assigned to newly added teams (e.g. Bundesliga)...

Gremio (Brazil) all have fake names again, too. I'm not at home so I can't check, but I'm wondering if any of this applies to national teams also.

The quick-and-dirty solution is to reimport the option file and latest update again (AGAIN, FOR GOD'S SAKE KONAMI), ticking the second box (import player data)*.

I wouldn't even delete the previous edit data (as then you'll have to do all of the competition logos/names/settings again too).

But you'll then need to put the teams back into the correct leagues again, as you say, and all the new player faces may be lost until those players are reset. I need a list of all 101 new player faces, can anyone help? Preferably with info about who they play for, and their nationality.

*Maybe excluding Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Palmeiras, because their stadium allocation might be reset if you do that, and you might be locked out from changing it.

EDIT: According to the official DP2 webpage, there are also 16 teams (excluding LFC and BVB) who have received kit updates. If they include a new kit slot - a third kit added, for example, where previously there wasn't one - then importing the old BIN file will remove that new kit slot. So I need to find out which teams have received kit updates... I've tweeted the official PES Twitter account, but I'm not hopeful they'll have that information...

Not 100% sure, mate - reinstalling the files (including updates) should fix most of the issues. Free agents not included in the exports will be missing as Konami have deleted them, but it would be a hell of a lot of work to load up teams with all the free agents pre-DP2 and export them all. No way am I going to do that - I've only just started playing the game, and that's always been my aim - to remove duplicates and then play the f@?#!ng game...

The only real issues after a reimport (excluding moving the new teams back into the right leagues) will be with the 100+ players who'll need their faces reset, and the teams with new stadiums who'll probably need new BIN files, plus the teams with new kits who might have a kit slot they didn't have before (i.e. third kits).

If you're happy doing that yourself, great, otherwise - you're absolutely right to not update yet...

I'll likely put together some kind of update just for the affected teams - but I know [MENTION=3862]decoupe[/MENTION] is working on his own update, and I don't want to make something that clashes with that, because he's doing brilliant things.

I just now attempted to see if there was a way I could export all of the free agents. It was a no go because in order to import/export data, the system needed to be logged into the PSN and it was not possible to log into the PSN till the DP2 had been installed.

Edit: However, I just now logged into my Master League after applying DP2. If you had a ML season in place then the deleted free agents such as Andrea Di Natale and Walter Samuel will all still be there!

Just a quick update...

I've (re)imported the file (plus updates), and everything seems okay for me. I'm sure there will be missing players here and there, but my Arsenal team is back to a full roster, for example, so I'm happy!

Also, importing the Liverpool BIN hasn't reset the stadium - same with Dortmund.

However, I can't vouch all the new kits are in without a list of affected teams, and - and I knew this would be the case... All 101 players with new faces need their faces reset. Thanks to the above, though, I'll put an update together soon (I'm waiting to hear back from @decoupe before releasing anything, because I know he's working hard on an update himself).

Konami making things difficult again. Great work you all are doing. Luckily I have BF1 to keep me busy til this is sorted. Very unfortunate about the free agents being removed. I can understand why they'd do it though. Lots of retired players and it makes signings in ML super easy as you don't pay a transfer fee for promising young players.

No, it should just be a case of reimporting the previous file and update, and then a DP2 fix, hopefully.

Another quick update.

The only players who need resetting in order for their new faces to appear (the others are already set to default), are:

R. Sigurdsson (Fulham)
S. Mane (Liverpool)
E. Mor (Borussia Dortmund)
L. Krejci (Bologna)
C. Erkin (Besiktas)

Unfortunately, this update has also introduced a ton of Brazilian duplicates... Which I'm working on as I type, at midnight... Sigh.

The following players have new faces, but are duplicated:

Dudu Cearense (Botafogo)
D. Lugano (Sao Paulo)
Denilson (Cruzeiro)
De Souza (Sport Recife)
R. Sóbis (Cruzeiro)
Maicon (Sao Paulo)
Durval (Sport Recife)

And a bonus, not on the list of 101 players that I can see...

So you need to reset the players currently at those Brazilian teams, release them, and then transfer the "free agent" versions in.

They're the duplicates with new faces, but that's not the end of them - I've gone through A-D so far in the Master League and found 16. So I'm expecting lots more.

Once I've removed these dupes, I'll release a list, and put together a DP2 fix with some instructions. I can't tell you when, but soon, because I want to be able to play the Master League, again...

Just checked - no need for a reset here!

I'm downing tools for the night now (at nearly 3am) - I've been through the players A-Z and found 65 new duplicates (nearly all Brazilian), along with a handful of fake players now appearing in the ML.

Next step is to reset the fake players and transfer in those new ones, and then triple-check that they're all done (some of them were difficult to find due to slight name differences, very difficult to compare).

Thanks for this extra workload / sleepless night by the way, Konami.

I have completed most of the fix and I afraid there will be a delay. I have paused the update and have not apply it yet. I am afraid it will mess up everything. Players like Tim Howard and Blaszczykowski are supposedly gone which means going over MLS again and Bundesliga.

I read from the base copy thread that export/import is blocked until you updated your game. Hopefully by not downloading the update it will allow me to export or it will be a which will be a nightmare.

Hopefully some had exported in advance and are going to share them. Atletico Mineiro and Gremio had their faces removed which is strange. Didn't Konami had the league rights ? I saw another Brazil league from NETOVISKI who had all the missing faces. Maybe we should use that file ?

About the duplicates, can Chris shared the list in case I am forced to update. Will be helpful when I go through the players myself it will be as good as double checking.

Hopefully after all this update I can release everything by Sunday or Monday. Just why do Konami can't leave those free agent alone !!!

I'll try and release an update over the next 24-48 hours, just to fix the player faces and Brazilian duplicates that exist now, and then we can see how the hell we can merge the two (my fix plus your update, if you can successfully export them).

I've no idea about which players are now entirely missing, though (you mentioned Tim Howard, I'll check to see if I've managed to reimport him when I get home). I'm guessing another fix will need to be created to add these deleted players (no idea how to even start on that one, to be honest).

What a mess, Konami. I love your game, so much, but for a game that relies on its community, you take a massive dump on us sometimes.
