After sending an email to Konami regarding Gudjohnsen disappearance in Barcelona, the following email was sent to me as follows:

" Thank you very much for contacting the Konami customer support team. We are very sorry, but we can´t implement every player of a team into the game. We chose around 20 Player of each team in order to provide as much player as possible to our customers, but it is unfortunatly impossible to implement all of the teams completly.

We thank you for your understanding.

Your Konami Support Team"

They're a disgrace. I'm pretty sure i've seen squads with over 20 players. They also added Sanchez and Pedro in the update, but managed to exclude Busquets. I can only assume that the people in charge of this aspect of the game, their supervisors, and whoever else is involved in this game, aren't real fans and don't really give a shit.

Someone please explain to me how fans can make better option files than the people that work for Konami and get payed for it?

FC Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in Europe, with one of the largest followings, so i think it's only fair that their squad is 100% accurate. Am i right or am i right?

What I don't get is they went to all the effort of creating him for the 1.20 update, even bothering to make him one of very few with a 'real' face only to remove him again....:rolleyes: Astounding really....

That pretty much sums it up for me -- it is fortunately convenient for Konami to consistently come up with excuses for their shortcomings.

PES5 was good, PES6 was good.. that was it for me. I think PES is hugely overrated, the title's whole reputation relies on just how bad FIFA was in the PS2 -and- on a couple of games such as PES5 and PES6.

In my opinion, I just do not see any encouraging hints nor improvements. For me PES is pretty much a lost cause. It had the potential of "evolving" into a great game, but it is very clear by now that -- it is unfortunately impossible.


P.S - If Konami had included "preset faces" and "preset hairstyles" like before, maybe Busquets and the rest of the players who aren't in the game would've been possible to create or edit. Without the need of the always cheap-looking "built faces".

Well, there's always the possibility of staying on 1.20 and get an updated OF. The only shortcoming here is, you won't be able to play online....

Typical, or should I say, cynical, from Konami then, they can't give something without taking something out, anyway, at least you European guys have updates 1.20 and 1.30, we Americans on the other hand, haven't received nothing yet.

I was thinking, if I send Konami a message stating that I will Not buy PES 2010 if it still offers the same arcade-like Movement and Passing.

Can I expect a response??

Is it usual to receive a direct response from the Konami customer support team?

I bet the response would be something like:

We have around 4 types of movements for every Player, to provide our customers with the best level of authenticity possible. Not Konami as a whole, don't forget about MGS4. But the developers for PES have been terrible so far on the new consoles.
