It's hardly the same, yes they are both pes sites, but WENB tend to give a more biased approach to things. And no one is hating on WENB so i don't see your problem. Also, sort your grammar out please, it's painful to look at and understand.

I openly hate on WENB, mainly cos its tosser-heaven.

You could NEVER chat on WENB like you could on here, here its like a fucking free for all. This forum is basically PES-TRUTH, no bullshit, down here it gets told like it is.

Anyways back on topic, that EA passing vision thing aint doing anything for me, its meant to cut out blind passing i think, so players should only be able to pass to players in their line of sight......now I think EA should concentrate on bringing out a game that actually fucking works before fucking about with blind's man bluff and alll this shit......but you know what, it prolly dont even exist, its prolly just one of them EA gimmicks, the ones where the shit is non-apparent when you play the game.

Yeah i get that, it's ashame pesgaming isn't as big, but i suppose that would introduce a whole new wave of ignorance. Definitely, no fucking about that's why i prefer pesgaming even though it may be quite dead at times.

I haven't looked to much into fifa, but from what i've heard it's fifa 11.5, which is what i expected to be honest. But overall for pes what i have heard is fucking promising, but that was the same for past years and look what happened. I guess only the demo will tell..

Well, you've not got a lot of choice

The cursor changes sounds like a god send though must be said.

I hope they get that right. I stopped playing PES 2010 soon after release and FIFA 10 was the footy game of choice. When I got PES 2011, I was frustrated that I couldn't use the right stick to manually change players. I also hope they bring back attacking arrows. I hated that a player wouldn't make a forward run unless you were playing a one-two.

Not sure the arrows are making a return but apparently players will make more intelligent runs on PES2012.

They said that on PES2011 though.

Alot of people said it was 'more rewarding because you had to work an opportunity, ' truth was though you had to play 1-2's and have 15+ for team strategy to get players forward quick enough.

You can make a player run forawrd by using LB/L1 + A/X to pass. I'm not sure if this is what you meant by one-two's, as you don't have to play a one-two in this situation?

E3 is in full swing and occupies the full attention of the videogame realm. The information flowing around and be sure you're not missing anything first impressions on PES 2012, we have prepared a comprehensive summary. I want to especially thank ThomasGoal Diablosc and on the lookout for any info as usual.

This year, PES 2012 looks set to make a difference on the details. Discrete elements of gameplay that fans but have been waiting very (too) long. Even if Konami keeps undoubtedly surprises under the sole and the game is currently only as a beta, it might surprise us ... certainly in comparison with his predecessors on this generation.

Cross-checked information below comes from several sources, but mainly WENB. I disclaim any responsibility if, as every year, Mr. Adam is over-enthusiastic. Nevertheless, it gives a good overview of the novelties of this year's E3 demo.

• The ball physics has clearly been improved in this PES.
• The feeling is different then passes through the new ball physics. Apparently this aspect is more pleasant.
• Pass-support: you can now choose between 5 different types of passes. In full manual to full auto from semi no manual (type 3 by default).
• During a one-two, players are also calls crossed diagonally (it may be that it be done manually, we will soon know a little more).
• The dribble much better and more enjoyable through better responsiveness and more animations.
• Races of the players are nickel. There is no jerkiness in the animation. It is 100% more fluid than before, as a FIFA for example. There will soon be a big announcement about it (?).
• By default, the game speed is the same as in PES2011 but you can always change.
• Overall, the technical moves look the same as PES 2011 for the moment, but it seems that everything is not final.
• Defenders are more aware of the position of the ball and not let pass the ball more consistently in front of them.
• Entertainment mistakes are much more realistic. The collision system is great. Without making too many, it is effective.
• Now there are collisions between players without the ball, for example, centers or corners.
• More entertainment during tackles.
• The guards were excellent in the beta version of E3, better than ever. They also receive a lot of new animations.
• Nevertheless, it does not yet reach the quality and quantity at FIFA events.
• With the new ball physics, the shooting is a whole different PES 2011.
• No more endless acrobatic times coming out all the time fields in PES 2011.
• The selection cursor is always with L1 ... but you can now select any player with stic law, as in FIFA (finally !!!!!).
• Big novelty on throw-ins, free kicks, corners and corridors of the Guardian:
By tilting the right analog stick you can select which player you want to make the pass. It can also move in the right place. It is also essential intuitive.
• The penalty kicks system back to something easier to grasp. We can now perform a Panenka by pressing R1.
• The offensive AI is really smarter than before with calls or wrong calls crossed either in attack or midfield.
• The defensive AI is not to be outdone, the defenders cover more areas.
• Arbitration is better, they leave more often the benefit to promote a smooth game.
• In the E3 demo, we ran the player with the left stick and the directional pad used tactics. But do not panic, it seems that all that is adjustable for those who can not play without the d-pad prehistoric.
• A forming screen, players now have a letter noting their skills. For example, an A for Messi dribbles, a D for defense, etc. ...
• At the hardest level, PES 2012 was difficult. The new IA defensive teams heads is difficult to pass.
• Enomoto, the game's producer wants to recreate the styles of regional games to differentiate the game Latin to English for example.
• Graphically, the game is beautiful: the effects of light are better transcribed, the players look like even more truths, they sweat, etc. ...
• More events on the sidelines, the substitutes warming up, the coach moving the cameras around the field ... they are finally here!
• The new cages and nets stretched square go right. They react realistically.
• There will be different cameras depending on the stage. The feeling is different when you're at Camp Nou in other stadiums.
• Camera Broadcast (default) shows more action than before. No need to switch to the camera Wide.
• The new menus are totally UEFA.com effigy of ... in the background, you can see replays of matches in the Champions League.
• Konami will soon on the new game modes and probably a few new licenses.

Ali

It is happening again
^^Some positive sounding things there, even if the tranlastion was a bit off at times.

What does "Races of the players are nickel" mean???

Hi lads, had anyone heard if PES12 will support 3DTV like the new NBA 2K11 and MLB11 etc. It would seem a pretty obvious step considering the PES DS release earlier this year??

I am actually looking forward to PES2012. And even if it is PES2011 v1.5 I think I could live with that. A rip off? most certainly, but personally I really want a good PES to play with some players in it who aren't retired now. If PES2012 is just PES2011 with fixed game-play issues then that's fine by me. Forget the graphics rubbish, that's for FIFA. PES is about game play, tactics and Master League.

Hi, I'm new here...
I would love to see Partizan Belgrade in Pes 2012...
In Serbia much people play this game, and I'm sure, that they want Partizan to...
Also, we will play in CL again, i think, and we played last year... :p
Thanks...

I have to say, I converted to FIFA last year after never touching the franchise - being an ISS/PES die hard - simply because PES 2011 was the final straw.

I mooted the idea of PES6 Gold last year - which I would buy in an instant if it was on PSN. I still play PES6 (or did until my backward compatible PS3 died), and I enjoy it much much more than either FIFA11 or PES2011.

For me, I enjoy football games online and if you remember, PES5/6 started it and it was actually playable. I have yet to find that any of the next gen PES are, so that's kind of why I've abandoned it. That being said, I still want to go back to PES but again, I'm left disappointed by it once again. Both FIFA and PES look very uninspiring. The same old gripes persist - poor animation and physics engine in PES, scripting and micro pausing in FIFA.

Personally, I think Master League is your passion, PES has alot to offer, if it's online, then it has to be FIFA. Still, really, really poor from both Konami/EA this year. I said it last year, and I'll say it again, re-release a reskinned/rebranded PES6 and I'd be a happy boy - clearly the football games market is as stagnant as it's ever been and I'm fed up with it. Both as bad as each other if you ask me.

Still, hoping to see something from PES that I can actually get excited about but I've heard this for the past 4 years or so...

mhhhh

no matter what konami might put out this year, i feel pretty certain that it will be a decent game (might turn out to be either just decent or suprisingly good) and that ea will put out a game thats just as shallow and plastic as last year... but its pretty neato if you like dribbling people(online or vs friends) on their ass since the trick stick system is dangerous when used right :D

Key questions: -Does ''fully manual'' passing still take into account player stats?

Manual passing, if done correctly, would only maximize the player individuality in a very positive way. But in order to do that you must change the dribbling system and the defensive system.

-The off the ball movement, how is that going to work in a two player game? You use the right stick to move your player into position, meanwhile the opposition player will obviously have a defender follow your player to mark him, so you'll have to move your player again.....then Player 2 marks you again, so to get space you will have to keep moving your attacker around with the right stick......and aim the cross with the left stick......and power up the cross with a button press.....seems like an awful lot of multitasking going on there no?

The ideal way to do it (in my opinion) would also be the simplest way: the L2 button without the assistance of the face buttons, or, the L2 button with the assistance of the face buttons.

A new system where the user determines the script which will determine the off the ball movement of just ONE midfielder. The script would be composed by various sequences, and the sequences would be triggered by simply pressing and fully releasing the L2 button; the L2 button would also determine the speed or duration of each sequence of the script, or in other words, the speed at which the target moves through space.

By pressing the L2 button for the first time when you have possession of the ball, the selected midfield target will move from Point A to Point B: Point A to Point B would be the first sequence of the script, whereas the second sequence of the script would start at Point B and would culminate at Point C.

The new system for off the ball movement could be named "Create a Script" or something else that sounds catchy. So the user goes to the team system, creates a script, and therefore creates the sequences of the script; Point A could literally be any space on the pitch, Point B could be any space on the pitch, Point C could be any space on the pitch, etc, etc.

The right analog stick + the L1 button *when* not in possession of the ball: would determine the script that is currently in use. The right analog stick would offer space for a maximum of six scripts, the user would only be capable of changing the script just three times per half, and changing the script would only be possible when not in possession of the ball; therefore adding strength to the managerial or tactical aspect of the game.

The user would determine the exact position where each sequence of the script begins and where each sequence of the script ends; the user would also determine the speed or duration of each sequence of the script, or in other words, the speed at which the target moves through space. This level of freedom would be possible by simply pressing and fully releasing the L2 button when in possession of the ball.

Though of course. The defensive system would need to revolve around the same mechanic. And the dribbling system and man-marking system would also need to function around the same mechanic. And the overall result would fix the classic flaws of PES, which are AI Cheating and Cheap Exploits.

There is absolutely no necessity to implement complicated controls in order to do simple and insubstantial things; instead, what PES and FIFA need is a simple control scheme in order to do simple but substantial things.

A more comprehensive system in order to create more time and space on the pitch; currently, the game plays itself, the computer dictates the speed of the game, the computer dictates the script of the game, and the user simply passes the ball without really playing football.

It would be easily possible for the user to determine the speed of the game and the script of the game, with a very simple and intuitive control scheme. The fact that PES10 offered something slightly similar, is more than enough evidence, of how good a footy sim could be if it was designed to function around user-made scripts that the user would manually dictate sequence by sequence, as opposed to com-made and com-dictated scripts.

Personally, If anyone wants to lend me 100 million and some programmers, Ill make ''tech_skill soccer '', mark my fucking words, I could make a game that would fucking DESTROY the cunt games of today.

You know, Dino Dini claims that it's not graphics that make good games, it's gameplay. And I for one agree completely.

Kick off and Player Manager look horrible compared to other games back in 1990, but they are still great games.

So I suggest you start programming and worry about looks later. If you manage to pull off half of what you have explained in various threads around the forum it would be a kick ass game, regardless of graphics.

I mean it, no mocking intended.
