Ok, as some of you may have seen I posted a video and gif in the games you're waiting for thread HERE, however a video has just been released and I think it fully warrants a thread of its own.
Sleeping Dogs is the spiritual successor to the True Crime series of games. Activision cancelled development due to funding issues but Square Enix came to the rescue and bought the rights to the game but not the True Crime name. They will be publishing teh game with the original team developing.
Set in Hong Kong as an under cover cop working for the triads, this will be an open woprld sandbox title with a mesh of GTA/Saints Row gameplay and Batman/Yakuza fighting mechanics and some slow mo bullet time thrown in for good measure.
Made very much in the style of a R* infomercial video for one of their games, it really goes into great detail about what to expect from this game come its release on the 17th August 2012

Looks like it could be a great summer purchase, and considering there are usually no games to buy in the Summer, I anticipate this could be a hit. No mulitplayer unfortunately...but i'm more than happy with a single player game.
and for good measure
