More importantly, tapping shoot allowed me to become Robinho in-game. I shall not sleep tonight.

Blasting it over from three yards

I did the exact same for PESGaming tonight. Literally tapped it and it could not have gone more over. Almost out of the stadium!

Sweey made me feel better after my Torres esque miss.

I also not too long realised that when Sweey says "inz" he's referring to me! I even went as far to thinking you were calling Original? it, as a short name for Inzaghi. Don't ask me where I made that connection!

The first three letters take long enough, the next three would take just as long again so I don't bother.

I am swiftly becoming the Jamie Carragher of the club, with a rare goal forward and a frequent own goal, nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well played lastnight though some quality deliveries from the wide men and good standard all round

Lag was seriously pissing me off last night. Felt like it was going from absolutely fine to utter shite every 10 seconds.

Was getting fouled more than usual as well. Maybe my world wide reputation is growing.

Despite the own goal, your defending was excellent red.

Haha.

I felt rude when I finally understood, because I think you wanted the striker spot in the game we played 3-4-1-2, but I honestly had no idea you were asking me.

We seem to be socring a lot more goals now. Think we're gelling well together and starting to understand our preferences.

And yes, Red was brilliant as usual. Always nice to have a DMF who actually plays that role!

Shame I couldn't play for long last night, I was shocking in the few games that I played in though.

Hope you got a few more wins under the belt after I departed? :D

It's because it was the first time we played with 7 players, so we changed the formation to try to avoid having someone play in defence. This was kind of new to us (some people were in different roles), as all we use is 4-3-2-1.

So I wouldn't say you were awful, just you are new and you came into a team that changed the norm.

It wasn't the striking role, I just noticed in that one game you were dropping deep and not calling for the ball at goal kicks so I was wondering if you wanted me to call for them instead and that's why I was askling how tall your VP is. I think Original?'s is 5'7 and I'm pretty sure I've reduced mine to 5'9 for the increased pace.

Oh I see. I'm 5'7. Surprisingly I do win quite a few headers though. Scored 3 of them last night

But yeah, sometimes I do have a tendency to drop deep. If any of you think it's not helping the team (or any other things you think I need to stop or start doing), please let me know. I'm not going to get the hump over any criticism.

Dropping deep (or wide) is fine as I tend to like a high position to break the offside trap and I'm sure either myself or Original? will see and move to take a more advanced role.

I have noticed many times where we've successfully swapped positions although I had worried it was because I'd crowded the central area and you'd gone hunting space on the right.

EDIT: One thing for everyone - in dry weather can we try a few more aerial through balls rather than ground? I too was guilty of a ground through ball last night which didn't get through when an aerial one, in this case, would've had Original? clean through on goal from 40 yards out.

Original? and I do it too. Always good to mix it up at times. I think it just naturally happens as well, which shows a good understanding between all of us.

Agree with this, as a front three we can all play ST, RF or LF so rotating isn't a problem. I think we should try to do it a little more sometimes as it seems to create problems, obviously not all the time but once or twice in the game just mixes things up.

That said, I think in the rest of the team we need to keep our shape as much as possible. Particularly making sure the midfield doesn't get too close to the attack as it squeezes the opposition defence and midfield into a small space and leaves us short of space.

Regarding the aerial through balls, in the dry they are definitely a good idea... I remember that ball Sweey, I tried to do the same for you but despite pressing L1 and triangle my player hit it two yards along the floor directly to Joel's feet...

Just a side note, I selected our stadium on the basis that we only have good weather. Hate playing in the rain/snow. I dislike some of the stadiums with really high camera angles.

Very good idea. Snow in particular is a free-for-all where one second the ball bounces and stops and the next it bounces and thunders off the pitch.

What position would you like me to play tonight lads? As you may know, I'm pretty versatile and open to changing my Virtual Pro when needed.

Also, what time you all going to be on?

We could do with someone marshalling the defence, as I don't trust the CPU defenders, for obvious reasons, but that's up to you - we don't want to put anyone where they don't want to play.

We normally go on about 9.

I'll be on tonight but probably a bit later than usual. As it's the weekend I think it's best to start a bit later and stay on later.
