Bammers, I need you to confirm that I did score a beautiful goal last night... I knew they'd quit and wipe it out! :crymore:

I'll be on tonight after the City v Wigan game.

Even though they quit, the goal will still count to your history. So no fear ;)

No idea what you're talking about :shfty:

Nah, it was a great goal. For those of you who didn't see it, it was like this:

Think you can refer to me as ''The Hammer'' from now on after my first goal last night. A Hitzlsperger-esque special.

Decent session though. Good having 6 of us on again.

Was a great shot Bish.

But I'm not sure if last night was a good session. We were all so damn sloppy on the ball. Especially the last game. Just passing it to the opposition or no where close to our players. Luckily, we played a shite team, so we did not get punished, but we need to take care of the ball.

We've ditched the simple passing game that we were doing when we first formed PESInsight and for some reason are trying to play these amazing passes that just is not working. We need more "X" to the players close to us, rather than "triangle" and "R1 + triangle". If not, we're going to carry on struggling.

We also need to make sure we're not on the ball too long. When we hold the ball for too long, opportunities for a good pass expire. Keep the ball moving constantly with short passes. There will be times when there is no option and you will have to hold the ball, but these will be rare.

And Bammers, please don't take this as me picking on you, because I really am not. But you pulled up three times in a game last night and you do it twice in a lot of games. When going forward, time your runs. Try to cut down on the bombing in the box, because it's not always going to fall to you and that means you have wasted a lot of energy. Don't always hold the sprint button as well, as a central midfielder you shouldn't need to.

Yeah, that's why I said decent rather than good.

It's almost like we get too lethargic when we get a lead and play low percentage passes that aren't needed. Just need to forget the score and play the same for the whole 90 mins.

One thing I could suggest though. If we are struggling to keep the ball (especially in midfield) maybe the wing men could drop back a bit and offer another body to look to. It should help in keeping possession and drag one or 2 of the other team's players out of position, giving us some extra space upfront for Joel in particular to run into.

Definitely agree on improving the speed of which we release the pass. Get caught on the ball too much at times (as I'm guilty of).

We do this on occasion when we're under pressure, the problem is that Joel then gets extremely isolated and the ball comes back just as quickly. I'm not saying we should never do it but we need to be careful inviting pressure onto ourselves.

One thing we could very easily do on this note is use the CPU players, when we have possession of the ball we play with only six players. This makes it more difficult to stretch teams, in particular the full backs are not utilised. This would also alleviate the not enough bodies when we're under pressure and getting the ball out to me and Sweey to hold it up. I think we have a better chance of holding up the ball against the full back than Joel does against two centre backs.

As for everything else Joel and Bishop have said, I agree entirely. The only thing I would add and I feel like a broken record; calling for the ball constantly is causing so many problems. If the CPU has the ball, make sure you are the best person to receive the pass. Mistakes will be made but some of the calling is ending up being persistently poor. Usually our passing is okay but last night the decision making was awful.

I got caught a couple of times when I had tried to pass it, but a few times for being shit, but yeah back to simple passing and lets try a game with no calling for the ball AT ALL if your in a good position you will get it anyway

How's the lads keeping.

Haven't played with you in a while but the dGs have been playing some heavy sessions late in the night so that tied me over. Anyways, I know the frustration of people spamming the call button. We had turned things around and started playing great stuff. Even moved to division 8 at one stage and had nearly 4500 points.

Last week though some of the lads invited some COD heads over and one of them (despite been handy) calls for the ball every single time anyone gets it, be it by pressing X or calling for it over the headset. It's a fucking disaster and last night I logged in only to discover they lost like 10 games in a single sitting and dropped us down to 3800 points.

I'm fucking disgusted, I don't even feel like playing anymore as it's doing my tits in. Fifa need to introduce a new stat for the end of the game displaying how many times people call for the ball and how many times they are reasonable for loosing possession. Amazing how 1-2 people can ruin the flow of a game to the point that it makes it impossible to get anything going.

Oh yeah, that shit where people just run around wherever they feel like does my brain in too, I'm standing out on the bloody wing waiting patiently for my time to shine only for some Rambo fucker to storm over and steal my thunder. It's hard enough when people refuse to let the CPU work the ball my way and then you have this on top of it, fucking joke. Like I said it's all good fun and with the right players an excellent football experience, but when it turns to madness it's one of the most frustrating games I've ever played.

Last moan (because I know how you care) is people that just see forward as soon as they receive the ball. In my experience they have 3 things that go through their heads, Skill move, Turbo or Through ball. Everyone wants to be the hero everytime.

Jesus...

Mara, think you'd feel better playing in this team now. The passing is, most of the time, quite patient, starting to use the CPU players more if they're in a better position for a pass and the amount of calling for the ball was massively better last night.

Bammers, I know passing it out from the back is great and the prefered option I'd like to see, but if you/anyone else is under pressure with the ball, just use a long pass up field or clear it. It'll most likely end up in losing possession but at least it stops any danger of a goal coming from it.

Better. Would have been good to have you and Sweey about.

Human goalkeepers ruined it for me. Every cross taken, every shot held etc. It's like playing against a spring loaded psychic with a tub of glue on his hands.

Yes, I really cannot stand it. The agility code needs a lot of work done to it, to make it more realistic for FIFA 13.

Yesterday was very annoying at times. I have to apologize for a few things:

- The weak header back for the goal. I thought heading it back to the keeper would be the safest option and I put a lot of power into the header, however, my player barely tapped the ball with his head and, of course, it led to the opposition scoring, so apologies for that.

- There was another goal where I dallied a bit on the ball, got tackled and they scored. My VP's pretty strong and can normally hold off most players, but he just got nudged off the ball so easily there. I felt I needed to take a touch before passing or clearing and expected my VP to be able to hold the striker off, but he didn't.

- That shot I ballooned over the bar, when I was clean through. I actually just tapped square + L1, because I wanted to go for the chip and yet, my VP smashes it way over the bar. I just find it hard to understand why - it's like I had no control over the shot at all. It's annoying, because we were only 1-0 down at the time and I think a goal there would've changed the course of the game. Great ball from Berry to put me through btw.

These things happen Bammers. What time are you people on tonight?

Agreed, I wouldn't fault anyone for things like that, it's really just the basics, spamming the call button and following the ball around the pitch like a headless chicken that do my head in.

I'll try make the effort next week or over the weekend, pretty busy with stuff going on in general and don't get near the PS till late in the night. I really enjoyed the last session with you lot, very mature style of play and a bit of common sense aswell.
