I might be back tonight. When I was online on Tuesday, the EA servers wouldn't let me log in. On Wednesday, I turned up after Milan-Novara which had gone to extra-time and when you guys finished the game you were in, Original? went so it was a bit late. Wasn't about last night.

I think I am coming ON because I was hypersensitive to the amount of calling last night, and I guess what it amounts to or what I gleaned was that if you are calling for it means that you think you are better than anybody else and that only you should have it.
I thought we were the team that was trying to play this right, dont get me wrong I know you have to have patience because it may take a few passes before the ball gets to you.
I guess I am a bit frustrated I managed to play the whole night without deliberately calling for it once (that doesnt include forcing the defence to clear now and again) so it can easily be done
Am I the only one feeling like this, if so I will STFU
That said we did play some good stuff at times with some nice interchanges and good goals from individual and team play

You can't NEVER call for the ball, you just have to do it intelligently and not be hammering the buttons every time the CPU gets it.
For example, if I'm in 30 yards of space inside our half (and for those who haven't noticed I find it at least a couple of times in every match) and the ball is on the right side of the defence, I'm asking for it. I can either start running and request a through ball behind the defence or ask for a pass and look to turn and play the striker in. I did both a few times last night and it turned out fine. If I were to keep losing the ball doing that in a match, or in a night, I'd stop.
Of course, remember there are times that the CPU opts for a stupid pass to someone who hasn't called for it. I got a ridiculous one ten seconds before Original? got the exact same pass in the exact same area when it was obvious he didn't want it.

I hope I'm not included in the calling bonanza, I tend to only call for the ball of the defence if they're struggling and I'm out wide to receive it, the same on occasion from the goal kick as we lose the ball a lot given the CPU's poor distribution. If I am I apologise as it's not my intent.
I do however agree with you, I don't want to say no calling as there are times when you really should call. That said every so often I take a look at the 'Player Ratings' after the match, some people have 10-20 touches on the ball, others have 30-50 touches. In addition, we had one game last night with 80%+ passing accuracy and that was the one with the least calling.
On top of this, we still need to keep our shape, too often the midfield are crowding the attack and run the ball from deep rather than pass, which eats up space and slows us down. More importantly I turn around and often my only pass back is a 40 yards pass to Red. Red sits in and mops up, but whoever else is playing midfield only one should be getting right to the box, the other needs to be roughly half way between Red and the edge of the box. In the 80th minute when we're 1-0 down, let's push up more but it shouldn't be the default. The attack needs to play it's part and keep the width and pressure on their back line, I just think we need to keep thinking about the shape and making use of the radar as much as possible given we can't talk to each other.
We played without calling and good shape last night and won 3-0 without giving them much of a sniff.

Some great link-up play last night and some good wins, we were also very unfortunate in some of the games we didn't win too.
I'm going to try and get my virtual pro's overall rating up in a lot of positions, I'm versatile as you know but my player's only like 75 OVR as a ST. Was I effective as the goalie?

I thought you did very well as GK, Berry. Made a lot of saves and the shots you didn't save were ones which were very difficult to save.
On calling, I have tried to cut down in the last few nights, and I feel I've achieved that. I don't think calling for the ball shows that you think you're better than everyone else, but rather it shows and eagerness to get on the ball. Of course, this needs to be quelled at times, because the CPU may not be in a good position to pass or the player may not be in a good position to receive the ball. I do agree though that we need to be intelligent and cautious about when we call.

I am not aiming it at anyone its a general statement and I also know that I am mostly shite going forward and agreed not calling is a ludicrous suggestion, I generally and genuinely enjoy playing with you guys and maybe I am taking it too serious but I hate it when we loose games knowing we are much better than our performances suggests . When we are PLAYING we outplay teams with several k above us even if we dont win.

Human Goalkeepers are the only way to go now if you want to win matches. The CPU's are really after getting found out and people are spamming the finesse finish. In response to this one of the boys started playing there last week for us and now he's actually excellent.
Late last night then we got a request from this lad that wanted to join us, said he liked using the ANY option and we took him on. Well as true as God, he must of been sent from the heavens. Adside from been a great defender and excellent at picking the right pass's etc the calling for the ball issue is now gones for us because basically people can't do it now.
I think you can talk about certain things until the cows come home but when that game kicks off people naturally loose the rag and go bananas and all the plans go out the window.
We've 4300 now and 2 cups, doing well.

Considering PESGaming have about 93 players and we have only 7, it's surprising that they're the ones who want to re-form :hmm:. My answer is no though. I'm happy with Team PESInsight atm and I don't think it's got to the stage where a re-forming of the two teams is necessary.

Phat's copy of FIFA has died, Jonno never plays anymore, and Apps, Dragonfly and Four Kicks have gone AWOL. Plus Nifty is joining this weekend so anyone who doesn't rejoin now will miss out on such hilarity.
