Konami next introduced Pro Evolution Soccer 2010. Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka, producer, PES Productions at Konami, chatted about the latest improvements to the acclaimed soccer (or football, if you're European) series. "I think some of you played the demo version of PES 2010 back in June."Some of your important comments are implemented when we made the final adjustments and even added some new things in the game. We received so many requests about new moves for players that we added about 300 movements. We also heard many requests about the keepers and we did manage to implement these as well," said Takatsuka. Players can now move in all directions -- not just eight, he added. He then demoed a trailer representing the PS3, PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game. PES 2010 for Wii will be released in Europe on November 19; on PS2 and PSP on November 5; and on PS3, 360 and PC on October 22.

i don't really know what to think TBH. Can't say it's an amazing improvement, but it's an improvement nonetheless. Give it a year or two  by that time all their fans would have gone

Am I the only one that thinks it looks good? :S

It's just the little touches, the way the passes flow into the running animations etc. In my opinion the engine wasn't that broken in the first place, it just needed to be more fluent. All I really wanted was a revamped master league and a really good online mode. If I get all three of those (looks like 2 are sorted already) I'll be a happy man.

I also think it looks good. Check my post. :)
But still I cannot say for sure.
Campare these to pes 09 first videos and it's a clear improvement for sure even if you refuse to see it.

:laugh::laugh:

You can't be expecting a good response on YouTube, that's even more silly than the comments on their site. I'm genuinely surprised it hasn't already escalated into a mass racist argument.

Personally, I think we have to play the game to really feel the difference, and for me, the game looks solid, I've always been an optimist so that will no doubt contribute towards my opinions. I even enjoyed PES 2009, so I'll feel in heaven with PES 2010 by the looks of things. "If" online is completely fixed, and is similar to PES6's quality, then I'll be playing it all year round.

totally agree with this hunter, i've been playing PES09 all year and would be devistated if the game totally changed and as you say a couple of tweaks here and there along with a fixed online system, i to will be in heaven.

Tech you need to realise EVO has a huge huge fan base of gamers who love what the game provides, your continous rants are boring, we are happy to see subtle changes year by year, if everything changed a whole new game would be created and we would loose all the things we love about evo! cant wait for the demo now, anyone got an idea of its release??

ps - cheers for the yellow card hunter, still fairly new to the forum so didnt even realise double posting was against the rules, anyway all good!

i cant believe this negativety based on a couple of poor quality gameplay videos being played by people that are bad at pes and probably using the d-pad.

Are you people blind, open your eyes theres a massive difference to pes09.

What where you really expecting pes09 was a pretty descent game and this looks like a huge improvement on that, its football how can you drastically change the way football is played even real pros move in a angled way.

I can see the difference because im someone that has actually been playing pes09 for the last year.

Look how smooth the passing is and the improved ai and teamate reactions.Theres even a great snippet of where a fullback does a long ball to his forward and the ball curls towards him rather then going flatly up the line like pes09,im even seeing movement and passing angles we have never had in pes.

Remeber also fifa10 will be finished now where as pes2010 has work still to be done. Also had a look at the fifa gamescom video and it looks ok,yes the animation is smooth but this is a finished product not a beta version like pes2010.

If you look at the player modelling of pes2010 it looks better then fifa10,plus fifa10 still looks very floatie especially the players.

Just for comparrison - and not to sound like a fanboy - then here's a FIFA10 vid.
http://www.gamersyde.com/stream_fifa_10_gamescom_gameplay-12434_en.html

The animations just look sooo much better. Look at how many different animations there are when Ibrahimovic starts his dribble-raid at around the 12 min. mark on the gameclock! Everytime he touches the ball it's a new way he does it?!

Luckily for Konami, EA thus far, hasn't been able to nail those player individualities. If they'll get that part of the game right, I think it'll be a huge nail in the Konami coffin... :crymore:

FIFA does look more organic at this stage. Right build from Konami or not...

We'll see.

I mean, i dont buy the 'shit players' theory yet, i saw a vid with a bloke passing it around, wasnt horrendous looking, just looked like an update pes 2009, those turning animations are still off as well.

Sorry guys, I cant lie about this shit,

That gamescom shit aint all that.

What about the edit nets ???

Is that in there?

However shit the gameplay is, i wanna try that shit.

You know what i like about this forum and people like Tech is that you can talk freely here without getting a bann..

I've seen FIFA 10 Video on Fifa Blog. It blows PES away..

The only reason i dont play FIFA now is because its too easy to score.
While in PES if you are new you get owned.

But i have to face defeat..

I'm a PESFAN 4 life.. FIFA is better and still i'm staying at PES..

This is really funny... we got nothing big or new at gamescon.. just old and already leaked stuff even the trailer was old footage..

Incredible.. why even book a flight to gamescom?

Some Honesty right there.

Now, someone tell me, is edit nets in???

If its not, im gonna message david rutter and get him to put in fifa instead.

Fucking cracking idea that is, im ashamed to say it, but even when konami was talking about 360, all i could think of was.....edit nets.

Finally someone who sees difference. This forum is so negative.

:shocking: Shocking really. Fifa is better in animations very true, but until fifa can have player individuality and fix the response time, and actually make dribbling effective, maybe then it can beat pes and then we can call it realistic. But until that happens, fifa is never gonna be a realistic game no matter how good the animations are.

Without going into detail about fifa too much

1) As i said from day one, graphics, its not gonna look much different to 09

2) You can see the 360, look at a fifa vid and then look at any one of the pes threads in here.

3) If you think pes 2010 looks great, good for you mate, your opinion, i just give mine.

Just seen the fifa video. The animations are really awesome. But again. Dribbling not effective or at least who's playing it doesn't know how.
BTW I just cannot see 360 movement in both games. Maybe you need to play it to actually feel it.

Well, we've been told editable nets are in, but only by someone who has the beta build. The individual was right about everything (from Evo-Web) so we've no reason to doubt him. The nets in the PES 2010 gameplay video are visibily different, having a different shape to them and the nets being blue for a start.

Either way, I think we can all say the improvement doesn't look like a "hugely amazing" leap forward, but hell, it's certainly a good improvement in my eyes and considering these are poor quality videos, from camera phones and the like, I'm definitely happy. These tied in with the new ML features, editable things, non-lag online (fingers crossed) - PES 2010 could potentially be excellent.

I think it shows just a little here and there. Not while sprinting, mind, but here and there you can see, the players turning in smaller angles/degrees than the usual 45 degrees at every turn...
Both the PES and FIFA displays that in more occations, you just have to look at every little turn.
With only 8-way direction, you could only turn in 45, 90 and 180 degrees movement. I believe that you are able to see at least 22,5 degrees movement (and maybe even down to 11-12 degrees movement) in these videos, which is what both EA and Konami calls 360 movement.;)

also, because of the camera they are using, you don't see the full effect because the players are so small. They seem to be using tele view. Would be better using dynamic which is closer but not too big. I just think the messi cross was unrealistic as hell, as was the henry goal.
