People should also stop complaining about the lack of AI in PES.

U guys dont know what you are talking about. Start a game PES 2009 and put it on beginner then you see that the goalkeeping sucks.

Put it on top level and you have to work for a goal. You maybe loose unlucky.

AI on PES has never and never let me down.. Maybe its because i know how to put my defence..

Manual and semi is way harder to master than the CPU assisting nearly everything do.

In pes you cant even deliberatley miss a pk, think about that.....pk's are a lottery, no skills, cpu says you miss or you dont.

Cpu says the pass goes on target or its doesnt, alot of these factors are not in your hands.

In PES when you play some guy you can destroy that person by only using tactics.

In PES some lineups destroy others.

I use 3 line ups at ones, one defensive one attacking and one default.

The people who cant defend against Messi or C.Ronaldo is because they dont know what there weak foot is and how you implement this in defence...

When you have somebody like messi playing right wing, you must make sure he cant cut in to take a shot at goal, what you do is guide him away from your goal and them go in for the tackle..

Right on...a;though I felt like PES controls were a bit easier to pick up.

The controls may not be as deep but the gameplay and possibilities are so it makes a for a deeper experience and extends the longevity.

People in real life and world cup football say Penalty kicks are lotery.. so maybe this is a good thing.. The reason why some passes are not on target is because you choose the wrong pass..

PES 2009 high cutback passes also have new factors. one is pointing where you pass and placing your body right.. and then holding square to walk in to the ball and using the right directional button to head it in right..

lol... 'don't respond.' Your ideal thread, one in which you can troll to your heart's content with nobody to correct you. PES takes time and thought to get good at. Even FIFA has a learning curve. I always start out on semi-assisted and as I improve switch to fully manual, which offers complete control, and even more so with 360 directional control.

The tactics also take time to learn to use to their full advantage. In FIFA I've found that tactics mean little because it's all scripted anyway; your players mark up with the defenders no matter what formation you use. in PES, as in real life, they're crucial. If you take control of a right back and drag him forward, of course you're going to have a weakness in your defence, and it'll be exploited.

If the only licensed teams are the ones that appeared in that list, I'll be pretty disappointed. PES promised more licenses, thus, they should deliver. And no, I don't count a couple more licensed mid-table teams in Spain as 'more licenses.'

There are some things people just dont know about PES. Things that took me 10 years to develop.

Thats tactics, reading the game, knowing weak foots of your enemy, special ways to pass, tackle, knowing when to use subs, knowing when to shoot (momentum).

In PES some line ups destroy others.

Things people dont know even now is that 3 defenders + 2 wingbacks can destroy a barca's 4 3 3.

I never share my secrets with people on forums, because it gives me the edge when i play people.. Maybe its time i start sharing..

In PES people dont even use advanced ways to play.

Things like accurate shot, thats r2+square. There are places and momentums in game where thats better then a just firing with square. Using r1+l1 and then making a shot.

Using 2 players to score or set up a freekick.

I wish there was somebody on this forum with a ps3 who wants to play and i will show what i'm talking about..

Don't kid yourself, please. I play FIFA 08 with manual short and long passing and manual crosses, the direction and power are still somewhat assisted to find a teammate. It's more manual than assisted, but it's still not fully user-controlled. My passes find their mark far too often for that to be the case, particularly for a game that only has 8 directions.. Part of the problem I have with PES 09 is that on manual crosses don't find a man often enough, I could do with a little scripting there, though now there's 360 degree control there finally won't be a need for that anymore. I really don't have a problem with scripting helping passes to find a man. What pisses me off is scripted player movement and cheating with regards to movement as employed in FIFA, as well as scripts telling my shots where and how hard to go.

I dont need manual passing, the passing on PES is good for me.. everything reaches my players mate.

The only difference in FIFA and in PES is that in FIFA everybody can score and in PES you cant.. FIFA is more noob friendly.. when kids get frustrated when they get destroyed in PES and then they play FIFA and start scoring i can understand why they choose to play FIFA.

but then you go on bragging about this MANUAL shit...

In FIFA The worst passer is as good as the BEST if the human player is good at the game...that is why why that game has no longevity. Once you learn to pass thats it for that game, it doesnt matter which team or players you use.

CPU assisted games where the computer wipes your ass for you, are for real football players.

Thats why pes is the best, total control and passing, shooting, pk and set peices, the computer doesnt interfere in nearly everything, its all you mate, your the best and pes 2009 is amazing. you cant take one whole player and run through entire teams.

PES 4 was good, fifa from 96-2007 was rubbish

If it wasn't for that crazy nuttmeg he would have been tackled.. and i can tell you that nuttmegs are very hard on PES. 1 in a 1000.. so thats why he made a video of it..

Also the way that he finishes is a 100% goal.. right corner and inside foot shot..

Pes 2009= Get one player, R1, sharp turns with d pad over and over, R1, shoot.

Or

Hold down R1, shoot, pick up rebound, tap in.

Typical pes passing Sequence, X, d pad, X, X, d-pad X= Ball ping pongs about with laser like accuracy if the cpu allows it.

Im not prasing that shit game, pes 3- pes 6 were quality games, but pes 2008 and 2009 are arcade garbage.
