I'm in D5 and been having a crap time and drawing or losing my last dozen or so matches.

So I made some formation changes and bought a new defender and I've won 3 on the trot.

It's one of the great things about this game that a simple changing of positions really affects the way your team plays. When you play a series of games with the same formation/team you can really see what your weaknesses are in games. I noticed I was conceding a lot of crappy single game losing goals and realized I needed to push my DF back a little as well as replace one of my CBs with someone faster and with more body balance (as he was getting pushed off the ball).

Personally I really enjoy making these little changes and seeing how they play out. This is something that doesn't make much difference in FIFA11 nor does changing players around which is why PES11 is great again (finally).

One thing I want to note is I encounted a bug yesterday where I was playing a quick match (coach mode) online and when I came back the other player had disconnected and it said I won 3-0 default but I won over 900k euros (instead of the normal ~60k I get). Has this happened to anyone? At first I thought maybe I get this reward for dealing with enough people disconnecting on me when they're losing.

Kind of lost the plot tonight lol... I regret heavily playing PES today, I was comfortably placed 9th in the Rankings, 10 points above promotion break point, know a couple hours later after disasterous performances and suicide defending I down to 488 points lol... I got my work cut out 2morrow, if I want to get back up there, any kind of defeat Im having is cutting 10 points atleast =/ sad times. May just sell 3 players buy Ronaldo tomorrow, rinse teams then hope for the best!

Update: 4 goals for the Hunter in the last two games. Won both 3-0.

Question: What is the point of being promoted? It seem to me it gets you nothing and if anything it just means you will face tougher opposition, right? Obviously I want to be promoted eventually to D2/D1 for prestige, but if I'm in D4 ATM and only played about 45 games why would I try hard to get promoted to D3 if my squad is maybe not ready for it yet (worth about 1 million more than the base amount). Record, 22 - 13 - 13.

You get more money for games, the difference from d5 to d4 is somewhere in the range of +/- 40k more.

I had a bad run yesterday, I had 500 points, and by the end of the day I had 430. I just couldn't get my passing down, I havn't played any for a while so I was rusty too. It just seemed like all my passes would get intercepted (not through balls to strikers), just regular passes through the midfield. Sometimes I've noticed that even if you tap the pass button, if you hold it fractionally too long it will do a hard pass to the guy beyond the guy you intended to pass too.

I had a few times when I tried to lay off a little pass to a guy a few yards away, but the wall goes rocketing (so much for the power guage for passes................) to the other guy beyond him, only to be deflected off the first guys feet and to the opposition.

blah, no competitions start for another 5 hours or so! So much for playing MLO today....

I'm thinking of picking up Gattuso before getting huntelaar. He is worth 1.8 million, is he useful? I saw that he has a lot of defensive cards like enforcer, slide tackling, man marking, and covering. Sounds like excellent cards for my DM position.

When is the promotion/relegation going on? im sitting on a promotion spot today, and wonder when i get to spank some D4 guys.

I'm using Gattuso, and he is a beast!

He is really good for the amount of money you pay. I use him as a deep sitting DMF, usually man marking if my opponents use some overrated superstar. He is really good at winning the ball.

His first touches are pretty bad though, don't waste time trying to dribble with him, I just pass to my wingers to for a quick counter when he wins the balls.

Regarding idiots scoring 3 own goals in tournaments!! Does it help them? I keep reading that they do it to get the money.......

In PES 2010 I recall a few idiots doing it to cancel games they were losing! But what is this about them getting money for doing it in tournaments?

seriously i cant understand how people can have more than 200 games played. played a guy lately, he had fucking 500 games played, please god.this is sick. i got now maybe 102 games or something and that is in my opinion alot too. but 200,300,500? played since germany release.. seriously, i dont want to imagine how these guys look, do they even have a life? :crymore: sad sad world..kinda.

No idea if they have a life or not. But they are probably playing and enjoying it while we sit here and write about them instead!!!

I wouldn't normally swear but don't play stylo82, he's a cheating shit. Fucker lagged me something mental, he had a team of default players who were running around like Tevez on speed. I've never experienced anything like it, there was a split second delay on everything I did! I pressed circle to take a goal kick and my keeper passed it!

EDIT: Just looking for players to sign for my team, why oh WHY does Arshavin have 8(!!) for form? When was Arshavin ever an 8 for form? Ridiculous.

holy shit, just had an epic game lol
3 out of 4 of my midfielders were purple, and i just couldnt score despite coming close a couple of times, i did pretty well shutting down the opponent but then what do you know, the other team scores from a corner..i substituted minanda and stein in at the 85th min and minanda goes on and scores me two goals before the game ended, one assisted by stein...made me feel like mourinho there for a while lol

Got to the final of the ML Open today only to find a disconnecter to ruin my great run in, Pulgaa (PSN) you are a fucking twat get some skills

He was awarded the win when disconnect cause he ranked higher than me in the Top16 qualifier, looked at the tournament tree, he won his without scoring any goals with 0-0 results, I just knew there was something fishy about this player, fucking cunt that spoil a good game, he had a decent team as well, cud of played for the title rather than disconnect, pussy!!
