Total Summary of PES 2009 Demo from a veteran..

I played the FIFA09 demo religiously when it was released, but now after playing the PES 2009 demo, FIFA's attempt just doesn't feel right anymore. I guess it was because before, we only had PES 2008 to compare with the FIFA09 demo. As for the improvements being made, this demo is apparently an early build from months ago, so Konami have had months to improve upon the flaws of the game (not weeks as some are saying).

FIFA09 is the best FIFA yet, but it still lacks some Feeling.. after scoring a couple of Goals, and after playing a couple of games -I- can easily turn off the game.
Whereas when I'm playing PES6, whenever I score one Goal -then- I'm left wanting for more.. The mere FACT that I've been enjoying this game for 2 or 3 years now is Significant, it proves how good the old versions of PES where.
On the other hand, the FIFA09 demo, I played some 7th matches -and- I'm not looking forwards to playing it again. FIFA needs to Improve on the Differences between players, as most players feel almost exactly the same -and- Goal Scoring should be as good as Build Up Play.
Midfield Play looses it's appeal -if- Goal Scoring is boring and repetitive. And the Gameplay experience it's Ruined by the FACT that every player feels and plays the same.
FIFA will be a great game ONCE it starts Identifying those Important Differences between players.
And as for PES09, I haven't played the demo yet -and- I don't know what to think of it because the reviews have been extremely Inconsistent. Hope it's worthy of the "PES" title, if not I'll probably skip this year and hope for a great 2010.

I dont know what real life football you watch but its clearly not of a very high standard if you think that demo is worthy of any credit whatsoever!!
I hope you're right and i hope they slow it down dramatically to make it more like pes3 (the best ever) but i just think theres probably too much needs doing to make it a great game in fact they will struggle to make it just good.

I would love it if they actually Improved because -then- I would have an Alternative to PES. But I played the FIFA09 demo and honestly, where are the Improvements??
Yeah, I agree much better than FIFA08 -but- is it much better than EURO08?? In my Opinion FIFA09 is a slightly improved EURO08.. enjoyable game, good build up play, good Animations -but- Unsatisfying Finishing + it becomes Boring and repetitive after a few games.
It just doesn't looks as Durable as PES6.. I still play PES6 from time to time -whereas- I bought EURO08, played the game for a week or two, and after that never touched it again.
Pretty much the main Difference between PES and FIFA.. FIFA gets Boring and Repetitive after a short time with the game -whereas- PES keeps getting better and better.

Agreed....Mostly....to be honest for me...the only thing wrong with fifa 08 was the horrible response times.....press to go left wait a second and your player would finally move....and that has been improved. i still prefer Pro but lets face facts...Fifa have a game with good respose times...the licenses...some quality features like the news ticker and 10v10 online....is this not what we as consumers (with capable Hardware) should be asking for for our money....You can only do so much with great Gameplay in a time where added extras are becoming vital...
