Hi ...

IM new to this, Im trying to transfer the ps2 option file to my memory card using the max drive...the only problem im having is the software disc for the max drive isnt working on my ps2.

any ideas please?

I got one, the option file loads but nothing has been updated. English teams and names etc remain as original. I've done what the tutorial says for max drive but it isn't working...???

Hi.
I have just got me an max drive device.
I have dowloaded the opionfile for PES 8 / Playstation 2.
I have transfered it from my max drive to my memory card but what then ???
I have cehcked my memory card an the new option file is there but to
get to use this new optionfile is has to owewrite my old one.
How does that work ?????
When i load up the game it loads the " old optionfile ".
Can anybody help me.

Yeah.
But you need to have Codebreaker, Action Replay Max, Gameshark or Exploder.
Any one of them will work.

If you don't have any of them, you can use the bin/cue method.
Hope this will help you.

Hello,

i´m new here and have a problem with the option files with PS2.
it doesn´t matter wich kind of option file i take.
I burn the cue with nero and then start my ps2 with Swap Magic CD 3.0
Replace the disk and press x or the other button and it doesn´t load the cd for copy the option file.
Somebody has an idea to help me ?

Taking into account i have no idea wht these are, how would i go about getting them, what do they do when I have them and how does it help me update the option file?

PS I assume an updated Option File would contain real team names, names of Classic team members etc.?

Yes.

I tried bin/cue method and now I have op in memory card. BUT that didn't work, I tried to load data with no result. Data is not corrupt.

In some instances, it doesn't copy fully and may leave corrupt files on your memory card. This does not damage the memory card in any way. Just make sure it has copied correctly check your memory card via the "browser", i.e. when there's no disc in the PS2 to see if the option file is there. If there is also a corrupt file just delete it. A full option file will usually be between 1.1mb and 1.4mb.

If there is no option file and only corrupted data blocks, delete these and follow the process again until it has copied over correctly.

Try using other OF as some didn't make the Bin/Cue files perfectly.

Aaarggh, I give up, I tried another time with three OF but game just didn't load those files I guess I must update myself that game..Weird because I made just a same way bin cd to pes6 OF and that works.
