Goldeneye is certainly not an underrated game. It was one of the best multiplayer games around.

Like a few have said, GoldenEye 007, WWF No Mercy and Grand Theft Auto IV: San Andreas are not underrated.

Most of the old wrestling games were underated for some reason i find. I posted up WWF Attitude for PS1 earlier and heres another classic of mine:

WWF IN YOUR HOUSE!

This game was mental, it was an arcade style wrestling game with crazy moves. Thats one word to sum the whole thing up "crazy", i remember when i got this game. As a matter of fact it was for one christmas when i was about 7 or so and my nan of all people got me it. I was thinking when i had it, that it would be crap because nans dont know nothing about games, do they?. So it went as a unwanted present, but later i stook it in the PS1 and i was suprised. I had loads of fun with this deffinetly a very underated game. Top drawer this!

Grandparents those days, ay?

(VADER WAS THE BEST IN THIS GAME, ALL VINCE MCMAHON WOULD SAY AFTER EVERY MOVE WAS, VADER BOMB!)

I only actually had the demo, but I used to play it shit loads.

I remember the guy you were chasing in the demo would always change his route, which used to be very a-fucking-nnoying.

I thought that Syphon Filter 1 and Syphon Filter 2 on the PS1 were very underrated games.

Both games had a great story, lots of suspense throughout and had some great dialogue and sound effects. I do seem to remember though that some of the missions in those games were very difficult to complete but the game itself was addictive so the difficulty level did not really matter to me.

I remember when it came out at the time, people were going on about Metal Gear Solid but in my opinion, the first two Syphon Filter games were on an equal par with Metal Gear Solid. Yet, you don't hear anybody utter a word about Syphon Filter anymore. Maybe that's got more to do with the fact that the PS2 version of Syphon Filter was shite when compared to the PS1 versions?

Anyway back to my point, nobody seems to talk about the Syphon Filter games anymore especially the earlier games but I always thought they were immensely playable.

World record for the use of the words "Syphon filter" in any given sentance?

Anywho, I really enjoyed Driver 2, I must've spent hours on it. Now I don't really know if it was underrated or overrated but I do remember it was pretty fun. I vaguely remember the bridge used to lift and I'd try to jump it. I think I may try and fish it out of the attic for nostalgic purposes.

Good shout with Driver 2. I loved doing a chase and then using the film maker after. I had some great saves.

Also good shout with Syphon Filter.

Edited it now.

Both Driver 1 and Driver 2 probably were underrated.

I remember at the time that they were the first crime based games in 3D on the PS1. GTA1 and GTA2 were already out at the time but the early GTA games were entirely in a classic 2D Bird's Eye view which was not good.

I remembered thinking that the Driver games were ground-breaking at the time. But that was before I played GTA3 on the PS2 and the rest is history as they say.

This was a fantastic little game, Vol. 2 was even better. The gamebreakers were superbly done, as well as the fancy dunks using the shoulder buttons. And I can't forget the female voice shouting "Superfly!"

I haven't played 3 or Homecourt however. Do I miss out? :(

Haha, same here amigo. I don't think I ever saw it on sale to be honest.

Is Twisted Metal actually a good game?

I played it on the PS2 and it seems to be a pretty boring game - you're in an arena and you simply destroy other cars. :\

Red Faction was pretty cool. I liked that you were able to blow holes in anything you wanted. Especially on the multiplayer levels if somebody was camping you would just blow a hole straight through the thing they're hiding behind.

You obviously never got to play the good levels. Twisted Metal 2 was better then 1. You get to blow up the Eiffel Tower in it:w00t . Great 2 player co-op as well.

Homecourt is good, but it's a bit over the top in my opinion. This may because I prefer playing NBA Live 2008 though.

I loved Street for the PS2 though.

That wasn't bad, Jonny.

I agree on Syphon Filter, but i don't think the Driver series were underrated.

Anyone ever play Parasite Eve on the Playstation? I thought that was a great game. I loved the way they gave some 'realism' to her powers.

How about Golden Axe on the Genesis/Mega Drive? I know that wasn't underrated, but i'm surprised they never made a sequel for the next gen consoles or PC. That game was a fucking classic.
