Hi all, a quick question and no doubt its been asked on many occasions before so apologies!! ive downloaded the new option file and have never updated on OF on my ps3 apart from the konami releases which i think the last one was the new england strip. do i have to download a previous edition of this new option file for it to work or will it work with the konami patch update i mentioned above

Hi mate, I've read through loads of previous posts as I've been haviong problems. And from what I've read yes, as long as you have the Konami update the new option file has EVERYTHING you need. As long as it is the new full version that Muff posted. Hope this helps

Firstly can i just say a big thank you to Muff, and other's who have contributed to helping me eventually get the O.F. working.

My main problem was that I don't have my PS3 hooked up to the internet. And tbh, if I had known that it was a necessity before I got obsesed with wanting this O.F. then I wouldn't have bothered. So please beware any new-comers, if you're PS3 isn't connected to the internet, then you're wasting your time!

Eventually I got my PS3 connected to the internet at my workplace, where I thought it would just be a matter of a quick download, and I would then be able to use the O.F. but again it was nowhere near that simple! I'm no moron when it comes to technology, I use the internet on a daily basis, but setting up an internet connection with your PS3 is a real ball-ache! None of the on-line guides or the PS3 system manual are any help at all, in the end it was just a case of determination through trail and error. I'm not going to criticise anyone elses instructions or info because they're correct in what they put, but there's countless instructions inbetween which are missed out, and getting one of those wrong means you're back to square one! This isn't so much a rant about getting the option file loaded in the end, it's about the necessity of having to have the internet, and the hard work it takes to get a connection! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO PLUG 'N PLAY?!

But apart form that, like I said thank you for the good O.F. it cleared shows you have put ALOT of time into it, so thanks for sharing it with us :)

Jasperinho, like I said in my last post I hooked up my Ps3 to a broadband connection at work to download the relevant Konami updates. I figured that because my aim wasn't really for regular online gaming, I just needed to get updates for this file to work, and that way would be far easier than going through the process of buying ethernet cables only with a 50/50 chance it would actually work with dongle/laptop internet. I do think it would be worth a shot trying to connect it to the internet via a laptop and dongle, but with the amount of assing around I've had to do just to get this option file to work, I think i'll leave that process to a later date :)

ps, plus I've heard both positives and negatives about the eventual outcome. Even people who have manged to get the process working say there is either slow, jerky gaming, or a need to go through the re-connection process everytime the console is switched off :unsure:
And believe me I've done plenty of reading on people who have tried with various dongles and networks

When I first loaded pes it installed the update 1.4? So I am assuming its already on there.

And when I go into PES in the system settings download is greyed out so Im guessing I have the update is there any difinitive way to check?

Anyway I have loaded the Von option file copied to my PS but I get the cannot load data. However I have download von OF 2.04. So Im very confused can anyone help?

Hi mate, I had the same problem which through me off-track as nobody had mentioned this. Even if an update (1.4) is loaded when you start the game up, you still need to follow the instructions Muff left.....

(NOTE 3. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTE OF ALL: IF YOU ARE PROMPTED WITH THE MESSAGE 'LOAD DATA FROM A DIFFERENT VERSION', YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE KONAMI 1.30 UPDATE. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE UPDATE AND ARE STILL PROMPTED, GO TO SETTINGS (IN-GAME) AND CLICK 'DOWNLOAD')

I know the update crap is confusing, why would you need 1.3 when you have 1.4?! But it does work, trust me I did it a few hours ago. Please note though, when you follow the guide which Muff left and you've clicked on the Download, it doesn't necessarily say Konami 1.3, it refers to the update as the one with The New Englang Kit. :) Good luck

Yeah, it only says 1.3 'cause I haven't updated the initial 'guide', which I put there before 1.4 was released. Basically, ignore the numbers. It just means you need the latest update.

can you please create Marin for Werder Bremen who also plays for german national team? he came from mönchengladbach this season to bremen. he`s a young and very talenetd guy with great dribbling abilities
