I have followed steps 1-19, with no error messages, time and time again and i still can't get anything to work, I have tried using Nero, and pm'd some of you, and am still having trouble.

what i don't get is later on in the beginners guide, there's an explanationon how to create an image of pes3, and patching using .ppf files. Does this alson need to be done.

or will steps 1-19 How to make pes3 a cd be enough.

I'm sorry for keep asking questions, but i am absolutely frustrated at not being able to do this.

Lebowski25, if you ask in the correct thread, you'll probably get more responses.
here.

Up to step 16 makes the image for you. After that, you are patching the image.
Any more questions, ask in that thread.

The best, most complete patch for PES3 is called 5.1.04 and is in the PES3 (PS2) folder on lomungtung. In the 5.1.04 folder you will find the ppf patch 5.1.04 which is rather large and then the update called 5.1to7.2.04 which is quite small. Apply the first large patch using ppf-o-matic and then apply the second patch directly afterwards. Hopefully you will then have a fantastic Euro 2004 version of PES3. Well worth the effort!

There's not much point in exploring lomungtung for the sake of it.
Mumpleaser has just menioned the latest patch for PES3.

Generally, it is best to check the Releases section to see which patches are available and you can see what is in each patch and when it was released. The newer ones are usually better. Or check the downloads section of evo-web.

If you randomly download a patch, you still need the instructions to use the patch - whether you apply to the bin or the data_e.afs or whatever so you could be wasting your time and CDRs. Best to check the threads for info first.

oooh ok, when following the begginers guide although it has been great so far and it cant be faulted, it does not say that u need to search it just says that you need to d/l it from that webfolder.
just a small question, why sometimes does it come up saying that you need to enter a password to access it??

Because it's someones private server your entering and you need to sort of 'prove' that you're their for the right reasons by typing in the right passwords. WE is Winning Eleven. It's just a precaution to make sure no unwanted types get in there and mess around.

Anyone who posts a question like "How do I Import Kits" from now on will be banned! This guide includes everything you need to know to be able to patch and edit your game. Although much of the information was already somewhere on this forum, it is now in a simple one document guide.

Update: It seems the link for DVDScan2 in the guide sometimes does not work. You can get a working download of DVDScan2 in the attachment accompanying this thread.

One quick question if its cool. I've taken the image of WE7 and patched it using the Wendetta patch. I understand that i have to use a program like CDmage. My problem is that your tutorial says that i need to scan and repair the bad sectors (or something like that). When i scan the 1st Track on the image it doesn't come back with any errors for me to repair. without this i can't burn the image.

Any ideas.

TIA.

You don't always have to scan and repair. I never do it and all my patched games work great. After you patch it, burn it on the slowest speed and see if it works.
