Reserve space with AFS Explorer, then regenerate the AFS. Dunno if this option is in wemodcentre, I don´t use it

in step 17, it says this:
"Open ppfomatic locate the 'patchablePES3cdrip.bin' in folder 'newpatchablebin', locate the pes3cdretail patch (you have downloaded). Click patch."
There is no .ppf file inside "FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar", so what file is it referring to when it says the pes3cdretailpatch?

autumnshade, the ppf file is the file you download, the patch. U need to download a patch off lomungtung if you already havnot.

ALso, does anyone have an answer to this problem. When I import the data afs file to the bin file it says image file is longer than original amd it needs to be truncated.
Do i just click continue ?

oh rite, i get it, but i dont actually want to downlad a patch, im going to insert the kits, balls etc myself. which afs file will i have to do this to, and how will i burn it, because im reeeaallllyy confused

autumnshade, you're a bit confused.

In post 88 you refer to the FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar file.
This is only used in the process of ripping your PES3 DVD into a CD image.

Once you have your image in the form of a bin and cue - then you can apply a patch or insert whatever you want. But make sure to keep a copy (burnt if possible) or your clean PES3 CD image so that you don't have to go through the ripping process again.

luszpynskyj, no you don´t click continue, unless you want to waste a CDR. The new AFS can´t be bigger than the old one. I never work with wemodcentre, always with PicDecoder and AFS Explorer, there you just have to regenerate your AFS and importing causes no problems at all

I'm really stuck now. When I regenerate the AFS the file gets bigger, is this supposed to happen. The new dat.afs file is 569,016,320 bytes.
When I try and insert in bin with cdmage it says file has to be trunctaed.
Please HELP?

That´s why I´m using AFS Explorer and Pic Decoder, because I´m kinda an expert with those tools, I´m not experienced with wemodcentre at all. The new AFS must not be bigger than the old one, otherwise it won´t work. There was a method in WE6FE to burn bigger AFS files, dunno if this works with newer games and can´t remember the link to that guide anymore. If you import bigger files than you have to reserve modified space and reduce the size of some other slots, that´s the way I do it. If this is to complicated for you you still could reduce the file size of the new boots with Pic Decoder, I wouldn´t recommend that if the difference between the free space and the new boots is to big though, becaus you would lose to much quality.

Patches only work for the game they are made for as all the games are slightly different. I don't know of (m)any patches for the US version and it looks like that all the patch-makers are making them for WE7:IJ - which is the latest game with the most features.

But now i have a question!
