Your Playstation 2 can only play games from its region which is USA. Therefore, the format used in USA is NTSC as you already know that. In Europe and some other countries they use PAL systems which is lower by 10 Hz then other countries. So Europe mostly uses PAL = 50 Hz, while in USA and Japan use NTSC or NTSC-J and run them at 60 Hz.

There is a few tricks that can be used in order to play imported games such as PES4 and Winning Eleven versions released only in Japan.

The first solution is getting a modchip for your PS2. Installing one is a bit pain in the a$$ if you don`t know what you`re doing that`s why I would recommend that you buy already pre-modified (by a tech) PS2 system. Whoever tells you modchips will gamage your systems tell them to f*ck off. They are just jelaous that they don`t have one. This will cost you the most, but its the best and safest option.

Other tricks like knife trick, swap disc etc are good too alot cheaper but it`s something that I don`t recommend to anyone since I have alot of experience with this.

Well, my PS2 is chipped with DMS3 modchip and I can play online games. I played FIFA 2004 and it worked like a charm but the game was from my region (USA NTSC) not PAL or NTSC-J. I havent tried playing any imported games that include "online-play". Now, with X-BOX it`s a different story. PES4 will be released for both systems PS2 and X-BOX. For PS2 it won`t have online play, but PES4 for X-BOX it could. Now, since PES4 for X-BOX will only be released in Europe (PAL) then only people from EU will be able to play it online (X-BOX LIVE). People outside of Europe who own X-BOX would still need to modify their systems just like we all did with PS2 but a chipped X-BOX console can`t go online and play X-BOX live which PES4 will feature.

Try using different stadiums, different camera angles etc. Zygalski told us by having the less crowd, the less you`ll get the slowdown issue. For me, I play mostly at night, with 9 cam. tilt, and use Normal - Long. Olimpiastadion is the stadium giving you almost no slowdown.

Thanks...I will give that a try. I always use Wide camera angle... I guess that make it worst?

2 Questions for you, on edit mode can you add earrings to a created player and can you stop a real player from going bald when you try editing them???

I read that WE8 is released in Korea very soon.
I expect the one for US/Canadians will be WE8:I released around Feb 2005 time.

Hmm..all I know is USA gets WE International games. So USA will def. get WE8:International next year "late February, or Early March". I don`t know if Canadians get any specific releases from Konami such as WE titles. Are you guys in Canada using NTSC aswell ?

Where did you get that info from ??

WE8IJ should exist, and WE8I is a must for N.America. Konami needs to fix a few bugs like slowdown etc.

got this weird problem today, i was playing round roubin with friends then 2 of my friends got tied but in the tournament table it was a win for one of them ???? and after that someone had scored 2 goals and again in the tournament table it was just one anyone got this prob??
