Bought the last couple of versions but feel this one has more longevity. The Legends of the Majors mode is a really nice feature, more courses on disc this year is good to see (though they obviously still take the piss with DLC content) and online tournaments is done well. It's also nice to play against others online where it's very rare players quit if they're losing/playing badly, unlike other games. Haven't even started on career mode yet.

Relaxing and rewarding game, which makes a refreshing change from other titles.

I didn't like what they did with 13, the game didn't feel as solid as it once did and I'm not a fan of them taking out the tee shot replays and when the camera would blacken out the sides when you were baring in on the flag from 150 yards.

I did see it only yesterday in a shop and thought about looking at a few reviews.

Playing Civ5 Gods and Kings at moment, some game.

Darksiders 2

Played the first few hours when I owned it on the Wii U, but enjoying it infinitely more with a standard pad. Great fast paced combat, looks pretty and with a good OST.

Saw you playing that the other day. The descriptions under your PSN name (where it displays what game you're playing) were quite specific.... at one moment it was telling me that you'd died 18 times.

Thats in total so far in the game, 15 of my deaths are environmental deaths which basically are falling off platforms in to lava......I havent died in combat apart from in my attempts to kill a high level hidden boss while at level 3

Even after all these years, I still feel guilty about killing some of these Colossi, even though they sometimes piss me off because they won't let me stab them (a natural reaction of course).

Of course at the time, I'm happily stabbing them in their weak spots shouting "die fucker!"..... the feelings of guilt come after. Just did the guard dog-like one in the city ruins last night, so not far from the end.
On the PS2 version I managed to do enough playthroughs to make it to the top of the main temple.... I may have to do it again on the ps3.

I see you're playing Ico again Ali, what's the reason behind that?

Land of The Dead in Darksiders 2; the artwork and design in this game is amazing, think i'll be buying this soon

Trophies mainly. There's just one more I need to get which is to complete it in less than 2hrs. I managed about 2.5hrs on my last playthrough.

I see you've died over 70 times in Darksiders, what's the reason behind that?

Fucking environmental deaths. The platforming in the game sucks, so every time you fall off a platform in to lava or off a cliff it counts as a death.

I "died" about 10 times in the same spot due to some dodgy controls.

Just finished darksiders 2, extremely enjoyable game, pacing felt a bit off toward the end and the final boss was a cake walk considering all the bosses before were enormous in size and long in length, but all in all at least as good as Darksiders.

Now on to Metro: Last Light. Oozes atmosphere.

Playing through Sleeping Dogs again atm as I never finished it the first time then I'll move onto Saints Row 3 which I never got round to completing.

It's a silly game but I'm certainly enjoying it. Don't know if it's enough to make me want to buy the next game though.

Saints Row has jumped the shark tbh. 2 offered a good alternative to GTA, but 3 (while still enjoyable) is a bit too daft. And the fourth seems to have taken it even further away from reality. Quite literally.

Finished the Tomb Raider single player last night. Despite the weak finale it was great. The 'open world' works surprisingly well, reminding me somewhat of Arkham Asylum. Definitely taken most of its cinematic cues from the Uncharted series, without ever quite matching it. 8.5/10 - on to the multiplayer next.

I wouldn't bother with the multiplayer, there's nothing to it really. Unless you want to go for that plat? :hmm:

Christ, just played a level in Metro: Last light and my heart was pounding throughout. Dark tunnels, giant spiders, great music. This is definitely is a game worthy of being compared to the two Half-Life titles, even if it isn't as good as them.

Jonno394 - just played the SR3 virtual reality mission, with the literal toilet humour, the text adventure and the "laggy" bit. Great stuff. :D
