Try blaise matuidi. He has been my best DMF in a long time. terrific free kicker and an excellent passer... he also has the playmaker star so he adds alot fluidity to the midfield. Good defensive qualities too. Also young... AROUND 20ish. Excellent, if ur willing to wait a few seasons.

I agree, I tend to play him in CMF though as opposed to DMF. He is my best player thus far by a mile only after a few games. He's also mytop scorer with a few surprisingly, just seems to be in the right place at the right time.

I'm a fan of Essien on the game too, he seems to work incredibly well whenever I choose to play with him. I tend to buy younger players though in my ML.

i hate when people say things like that, Bridge is not, never has been and never will be a DMF, i try to keep players in their positions just to keep the game as realistic as possible,
What next - Peter Schmeichael upfront - he never loses a header?!

Since you guys meant DMF (as in central DMF), then Xabi Alonso works well...

vieira not very gd stats but the old man can still do the job aswell as a 20 yr old the best in my opinon bt i play 4-3-3 :)

i play mathieu at left back. rijkaard is my dmf. he is strong, great passer, can shoot and wins almost every header. low agility but strength makes up for that. can't beat the classic players.

Gattuso is a good defensive midfielder if you need someone who can keep up there stamina for the whole game and can put in challenges. If you want a more all round player someone like Patrick Vieira is good as he has a more wide range of passing and better in the air, he can also put in a tackle.

ummm trying players in different positions is not realistic? I wonder what happens in real life :laugh:

Giggs was a winger but played as cmf last season. Some strikers can play cb, some cb can play cf. If bridge has the abilities in the game to play dmf then I don't see why not.

On another note, Roy Keane, Dunga, and Rijkaard are the best dmf I think but other than the classics, I think Gerrard is the best and Mascherano and Bos become class which we all know :happy:

the best DMF is vieira... i play 4.1.2.3 no one passes him.
pirlo, gerrard and Gattuso are great too...
p.s.: in real life i like Xavi v much, but man in the game i just hate him as a DMF, maybe not good with my formation..
