a few questions. i apologise if these have already been asked and answered.

1. would the game work on my ps2 ? (PAL)
2. if it does work on PAL ps2's can you have the English language option within the game ? e.g. have everything in English just like PES4.
3. when will patches be available if they are made ?

1. no, onyl on NTSC consoles or modded PAL consoles
2. this game is not multi-language, except of the commentary, the one and only solution to get everything in English is waiting for someone like Fernando to patch it
3. dunno, some guys from South America seem to be working on a translation patch, since I don't know anything about the decryption method for the graphic files I don't know how long it will take to patch original kits, balls, shoes etc.

I read over at Evo-Web that Fernando is working on translations right now, but i dont know when it will be released. hopefully as early as possible :)

What can i say about this new edition to the WE sega...its toally brilliant and the best by far. First of all no slow downs what so ever :) :) the game play is smoother, defence more difficult to get through.

Work is being started on the translation pathc by Reefur and Fernando. Thumbs up to them! Anyway, should be getting my copy today, Ill post my reviews. ANyone seen dannyboy?


Also some more news. You can now during a game, when you choose quit, you get a command of three options. To go mode select, or change players or return back to the game. GR8!!

Also old throw in style is back, LOL I forgot how the old one was.

played 2 games this morning.
quite agree with classicD and GFK around improvements and changes.
I'm a bit disappointed that :triangle: passes and centers from far wing sides/corners sides are too easy.

I noticed some light slowdowns, but nothing to do with WE8.

hmm triangle-passes improved really worries me, I should be able to play some matches tonight, the game lies in front of me but I've to do some work for the studies :mad:

Yes you can play with swapmagic 2.0, haven't tried it myself yet but am pretty sure that swapmagic 2.0 will play import games!

Yes mate you can cos I that's what I use. I have to say I think the game is great, the best so far, looking forward to PES5 even more now. Everything just seems to flow better. I didn't get any slowdown and I use wide camera allway's. Volley's are so much better, powerful and accurate. It might be that I've just got it but it does seem more difficult than past versions which is good. The AI is smarter, dribbiling is harder and the keeper's look better. Also got to mention the flip-flap/elastico what ever you wanna call it. Not got to much of an end result out of it but who cares it's in there and it look's great. Maybe with a bit more practice it'll become a useful move. I'm hoping there's a special ability star for it like both foot feint so you can add it to younger players in master league or something. Overall like I said quality game and it'll be even better with the transaltion patches from thoses geniuses who do that thing. First Class!

It's not that great. People who already have WE8 or PES4 should think twice about importing and spending 60-70 Euros on it. The previous Evolution/International games had more improvements than WE8LE. Still a good game though, with some decent new features. Nothing more.

Well for me it is that great cos it fixes alot of the issues I had with PES4, and it add's some new features and brings some old thing's back. When you add that altogether I think it makes for best football game ever. I know I haven't played a better one. The second best was PES4 and all this game is, is PES4 improved so it has to be the best football game ever!!!! :D

Also Jamez, I haven't seem any new licensed team's or stadiums. It look's like it has the same as PES4 on that front.

Hmm don't you usually see a replay of the foul if a player gets booked ? I was just running down the wing, must've somehow crossed the line, dunno, anyway the ref gave a throw in for the opponent and suddenly I see him showing a yellow card to one of my players, dunno why ? :confused:
First I thought the booking was for spitting at someone, but then I noticed that it wasn't Diouf.
