I like the idea of Fighting styles. Will be interesting. Also I love the new addition that dirty superstar's can now grab the Referee and throw him into the other superstar.

Oh and the Wii version looks fun.

What's the maximum number of wrestlers that can appear on screen? (i.e. in a match)

I've not played on wrestling games in a while but SvR 2 (I think it was) only allowed 6. I'm hoping for more, especially in the Rumble. Some say all the name bars and icons would clog up the screen, but you don't need much info on screen for all those CPU controlled characters.

I also hope for better control over breaking tables and moves off ladders. TLC matches were my favourites, but the limited amount of ways you could break tables were frustrating, as were the physics to how the table always broke in two down the middle.. More ladders, more tables, better physics = carnage :w00t

Hopefully the influence of ECW in there will help my case.

I personally thought SmackDown! vs Raw 2007 was a huge improvement from the previous one..

Anyways back on topic, I hope this game will let you finally edit your own move (Or atleast give a move a name). That would be great.

Yeah, I think that editing attire's will be a real nice addition. But I can't see it happening. There was speculation about it being in last years game, but again, didn't happen. They have also got to get rid of that horrid crotch blur, so then we can finally put logo's on the underwear.

The last couple of games in the SmackDown series have been disappointing, so this will have to be a vast improvement.

A well developed edit mode should be included, where you can tweak Superstar's attributes, costumes, movesets, entrances etc.

The GM Mode needs a lot of work. It has great potential, but they haven't put much effort into it so far.

The season mode keeps heading backwards, rather than forwards. It must be much longer and interesting, with further interaction and ability to determine the shape of your superstar's career, rather than feel like you're being led through it all.

Fighting styles:
There will be 8 "Superstar Fighting Styles" which differentiate superstars from each other. These styles offer specific strategies and abilities that other wrestlers won't have. Styles work in different ways, so it's up to you to learn how to use it for each match type. Each superstar has a primary style and a secondary style. You will only have a special move for your primary style. You will be able to apply Fighting Styles to created superstars and the in-game wrestlers. However, there will be limits depending on weight classes. For instance, Kane can't be a high flyer.

Brawler: Will be proficient in striking with special moves related to striking.
Dirty: Proficient in dirty tactics such as hiding behind the referee, shoving the referee into their opponent, and use of the "con-chair-to." If you hide behind the referee, you are invincible.
Hardcore: They will have special abilities with weapons and will be proficient in no-dq matches. Also, they will be able to use the environment in ways others can't.
High Flyer: Will have more aerial moves than other styles. They will be able to launch themselves over the ropes and other areas, unlike other styles. Four confirmed High Flyer attacks include a Corkscrew Plancha to the outside, an Asai Moonsault to the outside, the West Coast Pop Springboard Hurricanrana, and Sabu's Springboard Side Kick.
Powerhouse: If a powerhouse stores a special, they'll be able to use it to kick out of any pin. Also, they will be able to use the ring as a weapon (slamming into corners, powerbomb on steps).
Showman: A cocky and arrogant wrestler, they taunt and get the crowd into it. They will lower their foes momentum (think HBK, Orton, and even Undertaker.)
Submission Artist: Will be proficient in holds and have special abilities related to that.
Technician: Technicians will be proficient in reversals and technique. They will be able to reverse moves others can't.

Well the aim for the new season mode in the next game will be to become a Legend, and it will contain multiple seasons, as the goal isn't to just win at 'mania.

It's looking promising so far. Flaming Table's should be great.

Yeah, they said there would be multiple seasons and they are going to be loads of side-goals on your way to achieve the main goal which is to become a legend.

They've said that if you pick an already well established wrestler e.g. Triple H, then season mode (now called 24/7 mode I think) will only last a year as he's well on his way to becoming, if not already, a legend. With a created superstars it should take up to 5 years.
