Your PES3 stats if you were being realistic!

How does this work?
Let's say that a heading stat of 99 means it always goes where you want it to. So a heading stat of 1 would mean it goes in the opposite direction to where you want it to go?

And I don't think anyone here would get 1 for anything - even if you just stand there you could be a helf-decent keeper with skills of about 20

but how can you head it in the opposite direction to where you want it to go? if anything, thats more skillful cos it would be deceptive to attack a ball and then flick it backwards to a team mate

Maybe a stat of 1 makes it go to 90 degrees to where you aim at? Left instead of straight or something. Where's phelan when ya need him?!

this is like saying a shot power of 1 would mean your shots would only go about 50cm in front of you.

what if you had 1 for shot power, but 99 for long pass speed? so you could fire passes around at great speeds when you press circle, but couldnt kick it as far as a short pass when u press square.

some bored person should try making a player with low stats to try it and see.

but by that logic if you had a shot accuracy of 1 the shot would go behind you which would be well useful.
From the player I put into Sweden to represent me I believe the lower the stat the more the pass is influenced by the direction you push, for example:

If someone like Beckham executes a long pass you will only need to face him in the general direction of the player to pass because he has such high accuracy. However if you're using someone with a very low pass accuracy you will not only need to aim perfectly at the player you wish to pass too but you'll also need to hope that the player doesn't mis-hit it or scuff it.
I think that's right although there's a certain degree of chance involved as well which is influenced by the accuracy you have

I have to have a generally good game because I play centre back, full back, defensive midfield, centre midfield and attacking midfield. So I'm ok in all areas but don't exactly stand out.

The other reason you don't stand out is because all of your stats are multiples of 5. Except for Condition/Fitness, before you try being a smart-arse.

The sad reality is, I doubt a single member of this forum would be good enough to even represent Newport fuckin' County, who are a Dr Martens Premier Division team.

Stop crying, mutu. It's nothing to worry about. Even Newport County are surprisingly good. The average non-league player can pass a ball 10 yards under no pressure. He can also head a ball straight if you throw it to him at a perfect height and speed.

Just because you can do this also doesn't automatically make all of your stats 90's, for Jehovah's sake. The reason Zidane has a short pass stat in the 90's is because he can play a killer pass through to whoever the striker may be, regardless of whether he's marked or not. Even with two players chasing him down and bustling him, he could probably pick Thierry Henry out through the smallest of gaps.

Most people's stats on these fora are probably in the 30-40 range at best. I'd go for more around the 20-25 range, if I'm being a bit kind.

Skill-wise:

PES3 Players > Non-League Players > Most Other People With Non-Footballing Talents > Most Animal Life, Minus the Rainforest Beetles > Outer Crust of the Earth > Average PESInsight Member

Marijuana Iguana does have a very good point. I wonder how many people put 70+ for Short Pass just because it goes to someone 15 yards away, without thinking whether could they put a great through ball through the defence right where the striker wants it.

Same for shot accuracy - you may be able to get it on target, but can you hit it right in the top corner from nearly anywhere in their half?

People who put 70-80 for the majority of abilities are saying that they overall better than many of the players on the game, but how many of you could even get into your school team? After reading many of the posts and looking at stats on Pro Evo I've decided that many of my stats can't be more than 30 on many things, and those that are probably wouldn't exceed 50.

ive just realised something,

example freekick acrruracy:
even saying that your stats are in the 50s means that you reckon
that for every two freekicks beckham scores youd have scored one of them, har har! i think this guys right and maybe 20-30s or so are more accurate

but still some of them like acceleration mentality response agility and balance can all be as high as the 90s without anyone quibbling that as all of these arent totally to do with actual skill (how long it takes you to reach your top speed for example acceleration could be in the 90s for anyone here)

i was doing my stats in the context of what i'm better at, eg. stamina=average, running=not so fast,

heading=FANBLOODYTASTIC,

cos i am a very good header of the ball. whether standing still, running on to it, cushioning it down for another player, heading a ball that is dropping from 40 ft in the air or sticking my head in with the boots for a diving header. i'm just good at it...therefore 99. sorry it riled you so much!
