I'd rather watch a game of FIFA than a game of PES, but that realism never seems to relate to gameplay.

Yeah, the players run in quite a funny way. My main worry is tht it looks realistic to watch because that's what I always thought about FIFA. The whole CL thing is quite slick presentation wise.

FIFAs 98 and 99 were both good game, but I discovered by ISS98 then, and so FIFA stood no chance.

Possibly because PES2008 for the next gen consoles was a new build and it was rushed out, so they left out what they may have considered minor issues. Possibly.

A = high popularity with the fans, D is obviously lower. If you sign someone with a high popularity your team's popularity goes up, likewise if you sell a popular player it goes down.

I managed to get Ribery in the first window, playing as Genoa in D2 with a team popularity of D. He's pretty fucking good.

I play as Arsenal, I just keep the default 4-5-1 formation, stick Adebayor up front, Van Persie on the left flank and Eboue at right back. Works a treat for me.
