PES5 Master League: Promising Players Thread

Kim U Don is a fantastic young goalkeeper. I've also discovered Sutto and Berger. Both are fantastic prospects at centre-back. They've all been added to the list.

    About patching PES5.

You'll also need to buy something that allows you to play import/backup games on your PS2 (if you haven't already). Swap Magic is the popular software that most people prefer to use when playing their imports/backup games on their PS2s. You'll need either a Slide Card or a Flip Top case...

    About patching PES5.

It depends on what kind of DVD-ReWriter you want to buy. Firstly, they come as internal or external. These are examples of internal and external DVD-ReWriters: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00098Q4P8/026-2567105-2341201...

Difference between WE , PRO and J-league.

I thought the J-League license was dropped a few years ago? To answer your question, I think there is little to no difference between both series. I have to admit thought that the PES games generally have faster gameplay.

    Free kicks in PES5...

Totally agree, mate. Free kicks are a nightmare in PES5. They were dead easy in WE9 though. Not sure why it's different in PES5 though. They're practically the same game. Anyway, can anyone tell me about the so called "free kick bug" in PES5? I'd like to score some free kicks if that's ok...

do i need a mod chip to do the WEmerica Patch??

Swap Magic is mainly software based (you'll also need a slide card or a flip top lid which requires minimal modification of your PS2 console). It comes in a CD version and a DVD version. You need both to play import/backup games. But for WE9/PES5, you'll need the DVD version.

    Free kicks in PES5...

I'm talking about curlers. You know, the Beckham and Recoba type free-kicks, not the Roberto Carlos type free-kicks. I'm still finding it hard to score the curlers. I haven't tried the blasters yet but seeing as it's a bug, I might just try it.

    Free kicks in PES5...

It's really odd. I can't seem to score as many free kicks as I used to in WE9. But, from what I've observed, I think it's something to do with the powerbar. I think you have to press the :square: button for longer in PES5. But, it's still annoying anyway.

    Free kicks in PES5...

Anyone else find them hard to pull off successfully? I mean, I've played both WE9 and PES5 and I can definitely notice a difference between the free-kicks in both games. They were definitely easier in WE9. I scored around 25 free-kicks with a range of different free-kick takers in WE9 in...

PES5 Master League: Promising Players Thread

That's an interesting one. I haven't unlocked any teams or players in the PES shop in my PES5. I didn't realise that some existing players were unlockable. I thought the shop was only for classic players and classic teams. But, I'll add Cavenaghi to the list anyway.

    Hey members

Patched PS2? 1. There's no such thing as a patched PS2. 2. There is such a thing as a patched game. 3. The best PES5 patch out there (or so I've heard), is the team pes-x-ppf patch. 4. You will need a chipped PS2 or a method of playing imports/backup games (ie, Swap Magic) in...

I think it's spelt Kaiser. He was an excellent prospect in PES4. Not sure what he's like in PES5 though. I'm going to check later anyway so I'll report back.

I thought so. I got a bit confused there with the Joao and Jorge. Already got Bradley. He's not at Parma by the way. They must've signed him. Added Kruger and Gonzalo Rodriguez.
