The players stats will not change, it is the 'ROLE' that your AI will perform with said player. For instance placing an attacker as a SS instead of a CF will cause him to often drop deeper and find space, but less likely to make forward runs spliting the opposition defence. Try experimenting...

this may help you... when you press square to command a team mates pressure, he will tackle when square is released, releasing square at the wrong time will cause unwanted slides/fouls. hope this helps

yep - each situation is different, i did the slide tackle thing with berbatov earlier, he wiped the opponent out got up, collected the ball and was clean through, i scored and laughed my arse off ;)
