I had a chance to play fifa 2005...as a guest of my friend...he works for EA. But I had prior engagements. He says the game has changed a lot. But I doubt they'll do anything too drastic...

That last shot of Fifa!! OMG what is up with the player models, they look almost alien. Is it just me, or do the dimensions and proportions look seriously wrong? Seems they have gone a stedown from fifa2004 models. The fact they dont seem to have the Nike sponsor, maybe it means Konami have it, and we'll see Nike fully licensed this time round.....

well we'll need some vids to see what are crowd are like and how well they are animated, but anyway, the flares and effects look good which will add depth to the crowd graphics, just hope they dont look like cut outs and has for once some good animation too.

no idea mate. Previously WE7 had two footballs to choose from. Then when PES3 came out there was only one. So only time will tell I guess.

new info on aging players, master league system, etc
as posted by masaemaya from evo-web

Hey guys, I just took a look at Konami's website and they have some interesting, new info on the way players age, the way master league works, etc. This info is from http://www.konamityo.com/we/game/we8/index.html. This is all translated by me, btw.

Ok, so, firstly, players will retire. We all knew that. However, after they retire, a few years later they will reappear as new players in the "team-less players market pool," and be available to any team (not just the team they retired from a few years earlier). So, Zidane and Baggio and the gang will never go away, haha. They will just come back as new 18 year olds versions of themselves or something.

The players will improve their skills throughout the season and the off-season. You can see their improvements on a special screen. The way players will improve is of course from playing in matches (you can see their performance right away after the match and if they have improved and how much), and also from training. You can train during the season to improve your player (no mention if they will wear out if you train them too much), and you will also have to train/condition them during the off-season. All the training and conditioning will be done in the same way "challenge training" has been done up until now. So, basically, if you get a young player, he may not deserve to go out and play in matches right away, right? If he does well during training though, then you might put him in and see what he can do for in a real game.

All the players stats will return to default when you start the ML (even if u have changed the stats before the start of ML). This is of course to reduce cheating. Classics players will, as in real-life, not be available. These are not features which can be adjusted with an ON/OFF option, but they are made permanent to increase difficulty. Also, I'm not sure about this next bit cause it's not written that well, but created players will not be available in ML. Sorry, I can't confirm 100% that last bit because I can't understand it from the way it's written. My guess is that you will not be able to use created players.

Next, since there is now a "raising" or "bringing-up" system with the practices and conditioning systems, it's possible to raise some players to stardom. You can, of course, forego this and just buy another team's nurtured star player. However, it's written that the true core strength of a team should be based on raising a group of players with the same nationality. So, just like real-life, I think. You should do as you wish and experiment though, it's written.

When starting the ML, there are 3 options forwhat kind of team you start with. Firstly, it's the good-ol Miranda and Castroll team (the fictional team we have grown to love up until now). Secondly, you can simply start a team with the actual players who are on that team right now, in real life (Zidanoo, Rolando, Becks on Real, for example). Lastly, you can start a team with its real players, like option #2 above, but before the start of the season you will have to get rid of all but 3 of the original players and basically create a brand new team. Before the start of the season, you will have to choose a new name, pick new uniforms, flags, etc. Basically, scrap together a bunch of players from the "team-less players market pool," combine them with the 3 players you left over from the original team, and make a whole new team. It's not written if you get an extra budget to scrap together players.

Some things you can buy in WE-SHOP will affect ML. You can, for example, change the league names. You can also change which teams are in which league. So, in D1, for example, there are 4 league with 16 teams. In D2, there are only 8 teams. You can mess around with which team is in which division and league. So, it will be possible to create life-like leagues (La Liga, Premiership, Seria A, etc).

Ok, there you have it. I translated this information myself (I speak Japanese), not the online-translating stuff, so I think it's accurate.

Nice one un-knicked, pretty informative post. With the "team-less players market pool" does that mean you can just release players and they'll go there? Is this just for ML or will it be in the editing section?

That's be good cos it would mean that you can transfer players without swapping them with someone else.

"All the players stats will return to default when you start the ML (even if u have changed the stats before the start of ML). This is of course to reduce cheating."

What a pile of shit is that ? Does that mean we have to play ML with the crappy unrealistic player stats which Konami gives us ?
Well I assume it can be changed with an external editor, but for PES4 and those people who can´t patch but edit everything manually or use the Xport it´s a bad news.

That is complete and utter shite.....nice one Konami. Why not just give the option to use default data or edited data? Fucking wonder about them sometimes.

That maybe the thing that'll stop me buying PES4. i want to be able to edit my players before the ML and not have to them 1 million times! This is truly a digrace. What are they thinking of? They should know editing is one of the most important parts of the game but its boring. Goodness sake. Dont make us do it all over again! Im not able to patch games so this is just gayness at the highest teer!

yea it is bad news, maybe they under-rate many players (as usual) which wudnt be fair and realistic

It means that player stats will be loaded from the disc and not from the option file. Like I said, it´s not a problem at all for people who play WE8, because they can change the stats with an external editor, it´s pretty easy, and then burn it onto a DVD, and they will have their changed stats in the ML.

Don't you people get it? What's the point of editin the stats if they'll always be changing depending on several factors?

JESUS. You might edit someones stats, start the ML and the next game, he'll perform poor and what? The stats will be back to where the were...

I think it's a great idea. KONAMI 4 EVER.

Is it possible that Konami still doesn't know if PES4 (PC) will have multiplayer ??? No words about it and it's 2 months to the release...

Tsst tsst tsst  I´m telling all of you w11 lovers: Nokami are a bunch of asshole type gay yellow sons of something bad  I expect nothing but a great gameplay and a batch of crappy ideas in all other aspects of the game. As always. But things tend to become hard to accept. It´s so stupid that it hurts my feelings, both as a football lover and a W11/Pro Evo gamer. I´ll try to keep coolness somehow, and love the "beauty" when i get it... ;)
Remember: they don´t see Football the way we Europeans do. It´s a shame...but it´s true
