Fifa 10

I had this same conversation with my brother last night, he goes for the chip every time. Unfortunately, he doesn't agree with me.

To be honest though the chip seemed far easier on FIFA 09. Or maybe that's just me.

So long as I have an understanding with the people I play with it wasn't an issue last year so can't imagine it will be this. Shame though cos I think scoring a chip should be a great feeling on a computer game, sadly it wasn't last year.

He was consistently winning last night too, getting very cocky saying I'd never win again, I was Chelsea, he was Juve, and I just couldn't get the ball. So I changed to Barca after 3-1 and 4-0 defeats and the tables turned completely and I was winning. Different playing styles and teams really count, another thing PES used to have.

I love reading things like that. Because I do it myself, play against my brothers, I can relate to it, it's great.

My greatest achievement in 09 was to beat my older brother who was Valencia with Morecambe, 1-0 aet. I held out for 90 minutes, my palms were sweatier than Jose Antonio Camacho's armpits. I remember from about the seventh minute I was hoofing balls up and away to safety so that 'my boys could regroup' as I said, talking through it annoyed him even more. Matt just laughed at the final whistle and shook his head, I was ready for the penalty shootout but then he asked if he could play extra time, his words were something along the lines of: "Let's play extra time, I want to see how long it takes me to break you down", turns out he couldn't and Michael Twiss scored in the first half of extra time on the break. I remember it so well and I was berated for playing 5 defenders and two holding midfielders, but I stuck to my gameplan and came away with a famous win.

It must have been almost 8 months ago and I still give him stick about it to this day, true story.

Can't wait to play with more teams, getting tired of the demo.

Yeah me too actually Kev, I'm just dying to play with Newcastle, not to mention a load of other teams. Try out the set piece creator, new manager mode etc.

I can't see me seeing much daylight a week Friday :laugh:

I agree. It needs to be fixed, it's all the AI scores against me. It's too easy to score the lobs I think but it does look nice.

Couple of nice goals there Krishna. When it comes to doing the tricks, I just hold the trick button and waggle the thumbstick about, practicing in the arena is tough because the directions are all wrong during a match!

Krishna's last goal was the first shot ive seen with convincing power, some of the goals that have been posted look chipped or looped.

I still give my brother stick about the time I beat him and one of my friends Real (moi) vs Barca (them). Final score was 11-3, Ruud scored about 8 goals and they were swearing at each other like crazy.

Or on an older PES, where I was AC Milan (Shevchenko up front, don't remember who my brother was playing with) and after 60 minutes I had 4 red cards, put my remaining players in defence and Shevchenko up front and just hauled it forward, Ye Olde English style. Anyway 2nd half of the extra time, he just couldn't score and I knocked it up front, Shevchenko picks it up, I shoot from 30 metres and it disappears into the top corner. I must've ran 30 laps around the house, good times.

Just scored a belter with JT? :S lol.

That's a nice hit, shocking effort from Cech though, it's a shame EA got the GK ratings messed up for this demo.

Not very long now, until the 2nd of October

I hope I can get it on release day so I've got it to play, all the weekend. Fingers crossed I manage to get it. If not, there's always Saturday

I'm finding Manual controller settings to be really good so far. I've got everything on Manual apart from Shooting (Semi) and it's challenging but ultimately rewarding. It's keeping me interested in the demo too, which is needed as I've played it that much so far.

Question for US people who bought the game from the UK for PS3?

I know the game will work, but what about Adidas Live Season or any other DLC? Will I be able to get them to work if I import the game to the US?
