That's the most frustrating game I've played. Rangers, needed two goals as it was the second leg. The computer simply did not want me to score at all. The keeper was making very unrealistic saves. Point blank range, he'd dive as far to his left or right to get them, often diving before the shot was made, exactly to where the shot was going.

Simply infuriating.

I'll have to buy a new copy. I've worn out the disc and cannot finish a game, even off line. I've tried cleaning it, but not dice.

Other games work fine though, yeah?

I had to change my FIFA 09 disc because of the problem you're having, but the same happened with the replacement. Shortly after, it stopped reading any PS3 disc I tried and my PS3 needed fixing.

This is worth checking as it's a common problem with the laser failing to allow the reading of Blu-ray discs after around 12-18 months.

Has anybody else had the problem of not being able to play multiplayer? When I try to play with a mate, straight after kick off it freezes....

Multiplayer online? That's how my problems first started (with freezing issues online). You can't just blow in it like you could with SNES cartridges. :(

Sorry, should have been more specific. Not online, just multiplayer on the console.

Had that problem a while ago. Just delete your personal settings file (or whatever it is called). The file's gotten corrupt so just get rid of it and the freezing should be fixed..

I'm on a bad streak. Played 4, won 1, drawn 1, lost 2.

I enjoyed my victory, as I dominated the game. I was Espanyol and he was Barcelona. 3-0. All in the first half.

Just won a game 4-3 there, I chose Sunderland, he chose Chelsea, of course. It's always a little annoying when people opt for world class teams, it just becomes mundane to play. I dominated a lot of the game to be honest, I knew my best option was to simply pass the ball a bit and work for the openings. He wasn't a very good player either, but you don't need to be that good when you're on the edge of the box with Drogba I guess.

Oh, and does anyone know how to edit formations when you're in-game? Whenever I have a CB sent off, trying to adjust the formation is like trying to complete a Rubix cube - in the 30 second limit online. On PES it's really simple to edit the positions of players so I could bring in my two side backs to make a 3 CB trio, but I haven't a clue how to on FIFA. I looked in the instructions manual, but it's wafer thin, it tells you how to save the game, that's about it.

IIRC, you can't edit the player positions in an online game, as custom formations aren't allowed.

You can in Ultimate Team though.

I can't play with top teams, I dunno what it is, I can beat teams as Sunderland, Darlo, Newcastle, but give me a dream team and I can't do shit, I have no idea what's wrong :/

I'm in the same boat. I played as United before, and I was shocking. I can play well with the likes of Hull etc, but big teams I'm horrendous. I put it down to the fact that with big teams comes big players, and with big players you always feel the desire to run at players and try a trick or two, whereas with poorer teams you tend to pass more and work for the gaps - which obviously works better.

In online mode, is it just me, that, when changing the set-piece takers, it always ends up with your right-back taking all of them?

Is it just me or are the Leagues you set up between friends online poor? There was myself and three mates playing in our own league, one of which won by 3 points (going by the traditional points system) yet still had to play a play-off match against 2nd place to win the league? It made no sense. Then the league standings themselves are a contradiction because on one page it says I came 4th, but on another 3rd. The final standings showed me as 4th drawing on points with 3rd place, despite having a better goal difference than 3rd place. I just don't understand it all, it seems to make no sense whatsoever. Surely it can't be that difficult to integrate a proper league system, and by that I mean 'points' and 'goal difference'.

There was a nice variety of teams in the league though, myself being Malaga, with my other friends being Bolton, Ajax and Fulham.

Just got kicked off XBL towards the end of a amatch... Again. Out of the three games I've attempted I haven't finished a single one. I get kicked off of XBL, not just EA. It's annoying.
