I wasn't fond of the ending (yes, I'm being "miserable" again):

Pretty much ignored everything you'd done in game, and was just a matter of pressing one out of 3 switches.... oh joy.

Hell, the ending was guff. I didn't even bother tracking down Taggart to hear him out.

I have been playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood which I have just completed. It felt a lot like the previous games but I enjoyed some of the new features e.g. recruiting assassins and setting them on guards. The ending wasn't great but hopefully Revelations was a decent game as I intend to try that out before the new AC is out in 3-4 months.

That reminds me, I still haven't played ACR. I've got a £15 voucher at GAME that expires tomorrow, so I'll use that.

Did you complete the truth video puzzles?

I did, with help from the interwebs.

They removed it from AC:B, which is a shame because it was a nice change to the gameplay. They replaced it with these naff first person platforming sessions, that revolved around you placing blocks to reach platforms that you couldn't jump to.

I've got £20 on a GAME voucher - my local store is open - to go towards a purchase and I've no idea what to buy. Any recommendations? I was thinking about Max Payne, but after Deus Ex I want a non shooter.

Does Portal 2 count as a non-shooter in your eyes?

Arkham Asylum/City?

I fancy an RPG, ideally Fallout Modded. I might get a Xbox360 so I can get one of the Xbox made FO3 mods. Chucking Liberty Prime into the middle of the Talon Company base ought to be interesting.

If you fancy an RPG, why not Skyrim?

I didn't complete any of them as far as I can remember. Do they come up as an icon on the map? If so, what does it look like?

Get Dark Souls, Sminky.

I don't know why, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I think its because its not set after a futuristic apocalypse. Fallout is one of kind in RPG terms.

Well, that's what I thought at first, but I took a punt and I loved it. It's a lot prettier than FO3, ie not a barron ugly wasteland.

EDIT: @Phats - if you scan an area with your Eagle vision, you will see a glyph which you must investigate. When you find a new landmark and the info box is available, it will tell you if there is a glyph on the building.

Yeah but I liked that. I could try it but I didn't enjoy Oblivion for the same reasons I don't think I'll like Skyrim. It's Medieval.

Reminds you too much of your childhood?

The Witcher 2 on 360. Combat is a bit hit & miss (if you'll pardon the pun), but the story so far is entertaining and it's certainly worthy of it's 18 cert billing. The opening scene was more graphic than I can recall seeing in a game before & I cannot recall any game where an NPC has called my character a cunt! If it carries on not pulling it's punches, this could be a unexpected favourite.

Gone back to playing a bit of Resistance 3 recently. Have a few games just sitting on my shelf, so probably gonna go through and get the most out of them (ie trophies ) as I can before I trade in.

@fick - that NPC is just saying it as it is, I bet it was a welcome change from having people call you that to your face! :joel:
