Basic Guide to Patching WE8:LE & PES4 for PS2 (DVD only)

Does anyone here do favors? For example, would anyone be willing to purchase and patch a game for another person for about 50 $? As long as the person needs to do this because I am unable to do it on my computer. I tried for WE7 International and it did not work.

How did you try to patch the game?

I think that if you have a DVD-writer and try the guide posted here, it will most likely work.

my patched game never worked. this is what i done.

1. i did'nt have a dvd writer so i gave my mate a cd containing the jonboyo patch that had been extracted. along with my orginal pes4. i also gave him the instructions how to patch it from the start of this thread.

2. he followed everything and then when loaded on the ps2 via swap magic 3.3 it said file corrupted.

3.the dvd was a dvd+r that the patched game was burned on.

do you know what went wrong.

Never heard of a "file corrupted" message before.

It might be that your PS2 doesn't like to read DVD+R so try it on a normal DVD-R.

ive used swap magic v3 for six months now with my ps2 and it works fine. however when my brother went to try it on his ps2, the 'load program' screen doesnt appear (it seems like the ps2 just can't read the disk) can anyone help?

thanks..and also 1 more problem...
gran turismo 4 is much bigger than most other ps2 games - its 5.5gb! so naturally it wont fit onto a 4.7gb disk. i tried using a 8.5gb disk but it doesnt work with swap magic, can anyone help?

Sounds like you need a dual-layer DVD-writer + DVDRs.

What's the problem? Are you following the instructions exactly?

If you delete the image you have and start again with a fresh one, I reckon it might work.

yes i followed it all but when i was trying to burn it then thats when i was struggling.first time trying this kind a thing as you can probably tell

jeets - It needs to be chipped or modded. As explained further in the other sticky thread.

calvink - what program did you use and what settings? You can use Alcohol120%, Nero or DVD-decryptor to burn the image. Make sure it's as slow as possible.
