I'll be completing Fable 2 and purchasing the GTA DLC before I buy any of the Fallout DLC.

I want to know how the third DLC is going to work though. It says it continues past the main quest, but I (sacrificed myself), so I don't get how it's going to work.

I liked Charon, the guy from Megaton was cool too cant remember his name, its all abit hazy now I beat it months ago

Lookin forward to the DLC I might get them all and start the game again, only time will tell

Charon was an arse. I've left him rotting in Underworld. Doesn't look stupid at all sat there in outcast power armour.

Preferred Fawkes myself. Until he died that is. I took a short cut down the steep rocks near Oasis, muppet-boy took the long route round. After a while a message popped up to say he snuffed it. Fortunately he wasn't really carrying anything at the time.

Found his body later on, alogside two deathclaw corpses, with another nearly dead one loitering nearby. Fella must've put up one hell of a fight.

I was sad. Briefly. So I wen't to shoot some nearby raiders to cheer myself up

Fawkes is actually a she..:erm:

She's hardcore too. I'm just gutted she was only with me for an hour or so max. I wish I bloody did some side-quests with her by my side. We were unstoppable.

Another thing that disappointed me, is that I only actually came across two deathclaws and Fawkes made short work of them. I hear they're the toughest enemies in the game so I would have liked to test myself against them.

If were being picky Dan, Supermutants are supposedly asexual  Just because you read the case notes...

He/She/It (happy Dan?) was pretty hard. The gattling laser might've had something to do with it. That is one awesome weapon.

I take it you cleared out Old Oleny then? that's one of the first places I met them. Vicious shits. I was pretty good with the hunting rifle, so managed to weaken them a bit before they got too close.

Trick is to cripple one of their legs first, then they just sort of hobble at you...thats how I dealt with them anyway :D

Spoiler

I remember meeting them in a village at the top of the map, the place is infested with them. You let them get close and you die

Anyways in that village there is a ladder that brings you underground into another area that has loads of them and there isnt much space to move so they are extremely dangerous down there. The way I dealt with them was to scatter bottlecap mines all along the ground, you shoot them to get their attention and move behind the mines. Then you watch as they get blown to pieces or at least crippled so you can finish them off easily. I really enjoyed that one

On another note the superhuman that joins you is a man, he reminded me of the guy out of the Goonies lol

Turns out I've got radiation poisoning. I'm very much a beginner to Fallout. I've found Megaton and Farragut West Metro Station. Where is there a Doctors, so I can get cured?

I didnt mind her too much but the other guy in the shop had to die, he just didnt know when to shut up :realmad:

Aye. He's an annoying lil' sod. If you get a tad too close to him, or bump into something in the store, he shoots his mouth off with one smart ass comment or another. If I wasn't playing with a good karma I'd take him out. But in this game I only knock those off who decide to have a go and start something, or are just evil bastards who have it coming regardless. Smart Ass Merc. is just acting the "hard man" protector and being rather annoying in the process, so alas, I put up with it.

He'd best make himself scarce when my new game with evil karma comes around, though!

In my current game the only time I've taken the hit for negative karma is when I choose to steal ammunition from The Family, because I figured they'd commited their fair share of evil deeds before turning over a new leaf, and when picking the locks of a few ammunition containers belonging to a random Scavenger, whom I decided had ripped me off on a few items, and had probably stolen half of his stock, anyway. And to even out my percieved rightful wrong-doings, I gave ol' Walter, and Megaton, a good handful of scrap metal for free.

I dunno if I'll ever bother with a nuetral karma character, but I can't wait to give evil karma a spin!

How can I make some Caps? I've gone back to Megaton. I was down in Chevy Chase North trying to get to the GNR but I kept getting killed so I need to get healthy again, and get cured.

Any easy ways to make money?

Any easy ways to make money?

Other than finding caps in containers, or safes, and on dead enemies (usually Raiders), my other avenues of income were via selling scrap metal to ol' Walter at the Water Processing Plant in Megaton, and through hoarding every single piece of apparrel, and every last weapon I came across, and storing it in the lockers in my house (in Megaton). I later repaired those weapons, and the apparrel, to a decent condition (for more value) when my repair skill was capable enough, before selling it off to Moira Brown, or the travelling traders. I would then buy as much ammunition, and stimpaks, as I could afford. I would of course keep the weapons I planned on using, for future repairs.

You should sleep in every available bed you come across out in the wastes, as it really saves on stimpaks and food (which - in relation to food - keeps your radiation level down).

I don't know how far into the game you are, but a few early quests that I would suggest are the "favor" for Colin Moriarty, which involves looking for a woman called Silver, and the quest tied to the bomb in Megaton, as well as the quest from Moira Brown which involves going to a Super-Duper Mart which has it's fair share of Raiders and containers within. Those quests saw me come across some much needed caps early on.

Just came across my first Super Mutant in Georgetown. God, they're scary fuckers. I had 4 mutilating me at the same time. Eventually had to just leg it back to Megaton.

Been there :smug: Old Olney's just easier to get to and a few mates of mine haven't gone there as there is bugger all to do, apart from tear a few deathclaws a new one.

:chanlaugh: Reminds me of my first encounter. I headed south from Megaton to begin with (rather than follow a mission I just went for a wander), into the DC ruins. Bad move early in the game when your puny little arse can get shafted by a single mutant  I vivdly remember the screen going quickly greener as this big ugly fucker came charging at me with what i later found out was a nailboard. It might've been ok had I not used up my 10mm ammo on scorpions and was left with just the bb gun :faceplm:

Thats a great reason to go there :\

Hmmmm, guess that's one reason. Enclave Power armour is my personal fave though. Like the look of the outcast armour too, but it's not as good stats wise.

Wait...
Yah I prefer the enclave armour to the brotherhood armour. Most times I don't even bother with armour, I usually where Eulogy Jones' Red Jacket and my Shady Hat.

I sold them by accident :faceplm: I also put Simms coat & hat somewhere for safekeeping, but I'm buggered if I can remember where.

Biggest annoyance is the fact that no-one reacts when you wear the ghoul mask. Ho-hum.
