strange, the more videos i see from FIFA10 the more i'm considering not buying it everything that was said about the game got me excited but the videos have the opposite effect on me and i thought it was just me so i asked the most neutral person i know when it comes to games because she just hates them ( my fiance ) and her opinion was very simple and direct FIFA10 videos just looks like a game, and an old game that is, but when i showed her videos from PES10 she said now that's more like it and she was very impressed with the lighting and shadows and the way the pitch looked so real so guess it wasn't just me.
so i'm leaning towards PES much and much more now so unless the demo's prove me wrong it will be one football game for me this year.

I'm in 2 minds here after seeing alot videos, but non of them showed any new features, only seen the free kick thingy.

I guess just have to wait for the demo.

For me FIFA overtook PES by a long way in 09. I don't see how PES can bridge the gap that much with FIFA 10.

graphics are the only plus side of PES I'd say. But gameplay & freedom easily goes to FIFA.

Freedom never goes to fifa never...the whole game feels scripted and forced....saying fifa is free feeling is like saying doncaster rovers is world class...

With the new 360 movement, freedom will most certainly go to FIFA.

I most likely will buy both games, because for me, they both offer things the other just can't.

Freedom went to fifa when they changed the ball physics so they were no longer stuck to the players feet.

well im talking about the pinball tackling and the feeling you are herded into a channel... fair play fifa 10 offers something else...

freedom doesn't go to fifa?

ok you can move in far more directions, you can beat a player in about 100 different ways. PES we can move straight or diagonal and have 3 tricks or something. Freedom :)

don't agree with u were the freedom is concerned, but FIFA does have a lot of dribbling moves yeah, still the freedom seems restricted much more than PES. can't really explain it but it's the feeling i get when playing.
but what bothers me more is that nothing seems and feels real in FIFA it is,and feels like a game so even when u do something stunning the feeling u get can not be compared to the feeling you'd have if u pulled the same thing off in PES.
they really need to work on that part and judging from all the videos i've already seen it doesn't look that way.
think about it the 360 dribbling the set pieces u can create, all great ideas i agree, but they would look that much better when u saved them after pulling them off if they looked real.

YEAH, but when can we play the demo ?

in about 9 days me thinks.

Guys,

FIFA 10 is getting some decent reviews....ive heard.

Official Playstation mag has given it 9/10

Apparently Edge magazine are going to write a good review as well.

I think Eurogamer are still leaning towards fifa also

and Play magazine.........well, we all know what they said. lol.

Another week, another WENB podcast, another ringing endorsement for fifa 10, seriously, these guys just cannot stop talking about it.

In this weeks version, they admit the PSM3 fifa vs pes article was completely biased and alot of the points in the review didn't make sense, such as scoring the games a draw for licenses.

They said fifa will be the better all around package this year.

They said PES2010 is an excellent game for hardcore pes fans who do not consider fifa an alternative, but for more neutral fans, they expect fifa to attract a lot of attention. They used Gamescom as an example where they felt fifa dominated the press attention.

And all of a sudden their opinion counts again... :p

Its still fuck wenb dude, but if they of all people, keep blabbing on about fifa, then that means it might just be the game we are expecting, thats 2 weeks running they've been praising it. lol.

But they have shocked me the last 2 weeks with their honesty, I think its down to the lashing they got over their gamescom coverage.

They said PES2010 was very good as well, which i don't find difficult to believe ether.

But when wenb begin to sound more objective than some of the morons in that pes forum, you have to wonder, for me, the last straw was people trying to defend PSM3 saying fifa and pes are equal for licensing......

Retarded.

Thats like saying fifa's edit mode is equal to pes's........... pure nonsense.
