^Yeah agreed and in world class the opponent teams all plays the same. Long balls, early crosses and lobs. A bad thing for sure.
But a plus side is the dribbling which looks improved and now you may actually dribble a bit, although when trying close control dribbling it still isn't effective enough. Though better than 09.

I played last night and really enjoyed it, I'm not that used to FIFA, so found it a little awkward at times, so I was getting used to it. Don't want to totally judge it yet though.

Well having read some very mixed reviews here's where I am with it after playing maybe 9 or 10 games...
I enjoyed it immensely, I thought it was easily enough of an improvement on 09 to warrant paying £45 for. The movement impressed me massively, when you have a player take posession of the ball his team mates seem to be working to find space which is great.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned yet is the crossing. I think this has improved hugely since 09, it's an absolute joy to whip in crosses now, especially with new animations for headers too, I played a match with Bayern against Marseille and having led for most of the match 1-0, coming into the final 5 minutes Marseille pushed forward and Hamit Altintop stole the ball, fed Ribery darting down the right flank who beat his man and whipped in a cross towards the far post about 12 yards out, Klose was tussling with Hilton in the centre and just expertley rose above him and nodded the ball into the opposite corner. However simple that sounded you can't believe how beautiful it was to see.

Long range shots are something that irritated me in 09, they seemed very floaty and light, now they are a lot more realistic, providing you have the right player. I tried a long ranger effort with John Terry when I was playing as Chelsea, not for any particular reason, he just strode out of defence and as the opposition defence backed off I let fly from 35 yards, it was utterly embarrassing and very realistic. Then tried a 30 yarder with Mark Van Bommel which really tested the keeper, you get the impression that with a bit of time and practice, scoring one of these will be very special.

I read somewhere that this demo is three builds older than the finished version, I love the game already so three builds later, I really cannot wait for the full and final game to be released.

Nice to see they seem to have gotten rid of the stupid penalties for any slight contact in the penalty area.

me red and don wont even think about getting fifa for the pc. thats 3 sales lost already, i find it strange fifa are rolling over in the pc department to pes

Well to be honest mate, i've only ever bought it for a bit of variety, but i cant see them getting my money this year. I mean PES 09 was a little disappointing in terms of improvement on the last one, but im still playing it now.

i think it's bloody marvellous and PES has some serious catching up to do in order to be even considered a serious competitor never mind 'win', in my eyes!

The 360 movement is great and with practice could be a key element to playing this game as well as the more fluid animations etc.

Oh yeah the nets behave more realistically too! :D

We Americans will have to wait another week for it :(

Question, is there peeps in the benches in this version? or again empty ones like 09?

I've just read that the demo is a 65% build.

I'm not sure if it's that old, but CB's coming up for corners is something that isn't in the demo and promised for the game.

Plus, I've found that the refs are still getting in the way too often in the demo, yet a video I saw last week showed the ref side-stepping the ball and then opening his legs and allowing it to roll through, both within a few seconds, so I'm guessing the build the testers played is a higher percentage than the demo.

I'll give my full views on it tonight. Only played about 5 games on it up to now.

It is mate.

John Terry and Daniel Van Buyten have both scored from corners for me.

Maybe it's different on the X-Box version...?

I've had about 6 corners now and every time my CB's have stayed back. Strange.

Must agree with Baddar, I've not seen anyone come up yet for a corner (on PS3), but have for 2 free kicks.

Might have to use my months free gold sub & try the 360 version as well...

That is strange. But yeah, I have CB's up for all the corners I have had. The long throw ins look much better too.

Fuck, haven't tried the long throws yet. I've noticed goal kicks go further too when powered up to the max. And the cross field balls are nice. Doesn't take an age to reach your player on the opposite side of the pitch now.

I've uploaded one goal so far;

http://www.easportsfootball.co.uk/media/play/video/9102445

I'm FULLY aware that the keeping isn't the greatest for this shot (with the use of the accuracy button) but I was hoping there'd be more unpredictability with shots from further out.

FIFA's problem for ages has been that the GK's are too good at making shots from outside the box look easy. It didn't help that the ball floated a lot of the time either.

I also had a shot with Xavi after I had a corner cleared. Dropped to him about 35-40 yards out, and he smashed it first time and it flew past the post. Felt like the PES of old, coming on to the ball and hitting it from way out. The way the ball moved, I FELT like there was a chance it could go in/test the keeper. Never had that feeling before with FIFA.

I really like now though how those sorts of tricklers can creep in, as well as the fact you can score low drives more frequently.

Nice goal to be fair, scored one similar with Mario Gomez last night. It IS like older versions of PES in that I am excited for the release of the full and proper game, have never been with FIFA games before but the demo plays so well.

For me john terry and alex were always in there, if they are not the sliders fix that anyway just switch it to offensive before the ball goes out.

Guys I dont have broadband here in the Jungle, gotta few question:
How are the ball physics? Still heliumish?
Is response time better?
Finally, someone said its as good as the older PESs back on the PS2? Whats your opinion?

Much appreciated!
