Oh man, I'm on a bit of a losing streak atm. Time to go back to basics.

I think I'm developing one too.
I was Hamburg against Inter Milan and I decided from the get go that I would hold onto possession as best as I could till I found an opening. I was passing the guy off the pitch with quick 1 or 2 touch passes. Had a few attempts early on but still stale until Elia broke through on the left and put in a far post cross to Trochowski to take the lead. I was surprised he even won the header. Later Petric would squander a header straight at the keeper and then the biggest chance of the game when the keeper foolishly passed straight to Elia. He then completely missed with the tackle and with a dead ball in the box. You would think a tap of the shoot button would just roll it in, wouldn't you? Couldn't possibly be more wrong. I tapped shoot and from within the box he hit it further than row Z. I don't think I have hit it that high when trying to do it purposely in the Arena.
That would have made the game 2-0 and put to bed but no, second half Inter get the break and a straight cut back that I feel Mathijsen could have blocked the shot on goal but gets brought back and the game is taken to extra time and I eventually lost 2-1.
Then I played against someone who went Man City with me sticking with the same team. Same tactics as before and I take the lead through Petric. The game then changed and became 2-1 to Man City. I managed to equalize but before I did and right up till Man City scored the winner, it was chance, after chance for Petric just going past the post no matter what angle I was at. I eventually got that equalizer only for Adebayor to run in on goal and score a one-on-one 2 minutes to go.
I'm just not getting the breaks.

I'm also on a bad streak (online). Similar to the PESGaming team, I seem to be encountering more good players than I did at the start. I was undefeated after the first ten games, then didn't play for a week. Now I'm finding it tougher and just not getting any luck. I was Arsenal playing Liverpool. Looking at the stats, I was marginally better. That is, all the stats bar the score. He beat me 3-0. I attacked well, but he defended and counter-attacked even better. The amount of times I hit the frame of the goal, or narrowly missed was excruciating. Whereas, he would play lofted passes to Torres and get the luck of any bounce or deflection. My opponent was very good at keeping possession, though, especially amongst his defence. After all these years of football gaming, I'm still helpless and hapless in defence. I don't learn from my mistakes, even though I always tell myself "don't do that again". The amount of times I've given away the ball in my area because I try to pass it out is shocking! I sometimes feel me and Arsenal have an ET-Elliot thing going on.

I love playing in the snow. I've set the default ball as orange, so that I can see it. I also enjoy playing in the rain. I love send long but low through passes, with them stopping dead when the ball would usually roll out. Also, the suspense when you hit a weak shot. Will it cross the line?
Ok, but has to be later. My brother is playing at the moment.

0-2 up at half time with Valencia then I proceed to gift it back to Chelsea by passing it across my back line. Lose 3-2. Fuuuuuuuckkkkkkk.

I started a new MM game with Bristol Rovers earlier. Christ, the stamina levels in the lower leagues is shocking. It's annoying how just because the players are rated lower, that they can't have high fitness levels. I've managed to get the fitness coaching up to about 8 and hopefully I'll be able to increase it again in time, but at the moment I still need to rotate every game or so. :/
I've won 3, drawn 1 in the league so far, so all is going good. I've got my VP playing for the side as well, who's my highest rated player at 70.
He's had about 4 glorious chances to score in the games I've played up to now, but spurned them all sadly. Kuffour has scored 3 for me already though.
Before the transfer window closed I picked up a few new players on free transfers. Hope they can prove to be decent replacements.
Talking of replacements, in a game when Kuffour was fucked, I brought in Daryl Duffy to take his place. Surprisingly very good. Quite quick and strong enough to hold off the defenders, exactly what I need.
Will probably carry on tomorrow. There's something about the lower leagues that I prefer in FIFA.

Yeah, I did Darlington. I think I got promoted the first season via 2nd place, then got stuck for two seasons. Beat a few giants in the cup during this stage, most memorable were Wigan and West Brom.
Managed to gain a play-off spot in League 1 and got promoted that way. Got offered the Man U job after that and took it. Wish I never. Didn't matter how well I played, I'd somehow miss key objectives. One of the objectives was to get to a final, so after a bad run of results they were getting annoyed, won a semi-final, and then got sacked after I hit the objective.
then I was offered jobs of other teams in different countries. Never again am I going that big of a gap, shoulda just sat in the championship with darlington and battle relegation

)wow u get offered jobs in MM ... i'v had the game for about 2 weeks and still didn't play MM (want to make my VP a bit better first)...
the more things i know about FIFA 10 the madder i get at KONAMI.

I just started a manager mode as Man Utd (with new patch update) and for some reason now after every match most of my players are literally dead in terms of there fitness. I even upgraded the fitness option in the staff upgrades and still my players are unfit to the point I'm having replace the whole team every match. This never happened before the patch so I'm assuming this must have something to do with the tweaks that have been made.
Has anyone else started a manager mode since the new patch and noticed anything like this??

I pretty much have to do the same thing with Hamburg, wrathchild. I have to almost replace the whole team every game with a mix of young and experienced players. The only players that regularly survives is my Virtual Pro and that is because I always have him on to score a couple of goals and sub him in the second half so I can use him for the next game.

I have real issues with the radar in FIFA. It's too transparent for my liking. I was a big fan of glancing at the radar in PES to get a picture of what was ahead of me. In FIFA I'm often playing only in the area I can see on screen.
My best mate and I have a Manager Mode going with Portsmouth (random choice) on World Class, and it has been insanely difficult. We're on a five or six game string of defeats. And we've only won twice all season, and it's about to hit January. We've been given an ultimatum to improve results so, that's us sacked in a game or three then.

I agree. I was even thinking this when playing FIFA 09 as well. Also need to turn of the notifications since when I'm playing online they keep appearing over the radar.
Another thing that annoys me is when you are on the far side of the pitch and the camera doesn't obviously doesn't go up that far so when players are running to the left side of the pitch the score and time bar isn't transparent enough! I guess I'm too picky.

I started another game and managed sort out that problem by upgrading the fitness option to 10/10 in the staff upgrades before the first friendly match.
Still my biggest problem though with the manger mode is how every game at Old Trafford is at night and most away games are in the rain, its a shame EA just won't allow us to change the stadium settings in manager mode.
