two major things that if fifa improves apon it will beat pes.

Stop the shit scripted gameplay when playing on legendary, this is especially irritaing if you play all manual in manager mode . I think this will be improved upon due to improvements in cpu AI. Manager mode needs to be improved on and by what i have heard so far they have implemented a lot of the things people asked for on the feedback thread such as real results nights games and a more realistic transfer market.

There is an improvement in the faces imo, but the graphics have been optimized, not overhauled, which is how it should be, Ea would be dum to priortise graphics over gameplay.

Now, apparently FIFA 10 has "Fully Manual" controls, rumor is, that the manual control has been refined so that you control EVERY single aspect of passing and shooting etc.

S-D-P was correct also, the longevity of MM needs sorting, if they can make it last longer and fix the bugs and make it more realistic, its a done deal.

PES's, youth team thingy seems good to me, better than some of the other crap they put in the game this year. Fifa kinda need to copy them on that, or sort out the scouting system.

Still, I cant be arsed to play with youth team players who can only move in 8 different directions, so the choice still aint difficult.

To be honest, if October came along and all that changed from FIFA 09 was the MM overhaul and the minor gameplay fixes (advantage rule etc.) along with the squad/kit updates, I'd buy the new game anyway.

It looks like we're getting so much more though. FIFA 09 lacked a mode I could put hours upon hours into (I'm into Ultimate Team now after buying it half price, but I mean out-of-box) due to the MM being too short and the BAP mode not my cup of tea.

The things I've read about for the new MM in 10 have me excited already. One thing that always helped the Master League on PES years back was that, more often than not, you were getting realistic AI results throughout the season. FIFA lacked this in 09. Realistic results and proper weather, not to mention better transfers make me really optimistic for this year's game.

I feel sorry for games like Ashes Cricket 2009 and Uncharted 2, which might not be getting too much of a look in until after christmas if FIFA is as good as it's being billed.

David Rutter did say that they have quite a few other big surprises in store for August, so you'd expect BAP to be mentioned. I wouldn't be surprised if it was similar to last years, except you can take a player through a whole career instead of just the four seasons.

I'm not going to judge fifa 10 by this. I was just on the fifa forums and read the following coming from EA.

Hi all. We're just looking into where this leaked video has emerged from. Someone's clearly been a bit naughty there!

It's naughty because - as you've realised anyway - the game was not ready to show in the form of gameplay videos at the time of the producer tour last month, when that footage was recorded. While we were happy to let people get their hands on the game of course, there was still a lot work to be done. So that's why we asked anyone who attended the tour events to sign non-disclosure agreements preventing leaked footage like this appearing, because it's simply not representative of the final game. Hell, it's not representative of the many dozens of builds that have been produced since then, let alone the final game.

So, while there's not much we can do about you seeing this naughtiest of videos, please take it with a pinch of salt and bear in mind there were good reasons for (attempting to!) embargo this sort of footage appearing online just yet.
