My Fifa disk has decided to pack in. It's fine everywhere other than actually playing a game. As soon as I do that, it plays for a bit then the console goes quiet and I get a message saying the disc is unreadable. I've heard I have to take it into a game store and they'll put it on a cleaning machine or something. Any of you had this before or should I just accept my loss and get a new disc?

Disc cleaning can work & they do only charge a couple of quid for the benefit.

Not had it done myself, but I do know a couple of people who have & have done so successfully...

Don't know if you get your money back if it doesn't work though.

I would love to know what percentage of my online games end up with the other player deciding that despite picking the best team on the game they have no hope of winning and simply quit. Pisses me right off.

Happened to me the other day. I hardly ever play 1v1 online anymore but I thought I'd give it a go for once. My opponent picked Real Madrid while I picked Wolves and I managed to take him to Extra Time with it at 0-0 after 90 minutes. He didn't seem to impressed by letting in a goal from Kevin Doyle after 100 minutes and promptly quit just as I was about to celebrate the goal. George Elokobi managed to keep Ronaldo quiet all game, although he did scythe him down on several occasions.

Derby County, Leeds United or West Ham - which one would be the most challenging of these three teams in the fight for promotion?

PS. I just like the 'history' behind them. I want to "re-ignite" the team's status.

Just got a copy of Fifa 11 for free today. Playing online has made me realise why I traded it in!

Cunts only playing as the best teams and then gloating glorious when after you beat them 3-1 (Newcastle VS Arsenal) and they beat you 1-0 as Chelsea vs Reading and send a barrage of messages to you calling you shit and telling you it was a fluke victory and then not playing you again to try and prove this pijnt.

I hate this game.

Sometimes, you get to play with people who watches every replay. Even his shit goals -- run, run, run, round the keeper, tap in. Watch the replay 5 times.

I'm going through a new sense of enthusiasm for this game online at the moment. Here are my most recent games as per Fifa online:

(left column is me)

Barnet 1 - 6 Chelsea
Swansea City 3 - 0 Croatia
Stoke City 3 - 0 Real Madrid
Queens Park Rangers 4 - 5 Real Madrid
New Zealand 3 - 0 Portugal
Barnet 6 - 1 FSV Frankfurt
Nottingham Forest 6 - 2 Eintracht Frankfurt
Southampton 2 - 3 Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Barnet 2 - 1 Chelsea
Malmö FF 2 - 3 Real Madrid
Los Angeles Galaxy 1 - 0 Real Madrid
RCD Mallorca 2 - 4 FC Barcelona
Manchester City 4 - 2 Real Madrid
Crystal Palace 2 - 1 Real Madrid
Queens Park Rangers 2 - 1 Chelsea
Cardiff City 1 - 0 Real Madrid

I'm really enjoying playing as lower teams and beating the guys who only play as (as you can see) Real, Barca or Chelsea, (barring the odd exception where I wasn't playing a total cunt).

My plan is to now play exclsuively as League 2 teams for the next ten or so games and see how I get dealt with.

The last game was a complete embarrassment though. Got humbled 6-1 as barnet by the same run to line pass in for a tap in thanks to Torres and Drogba literally raping my defence. Guy watched every replay every time as well, it's like he's taking satisfaction in beating a 1star team as one of the best teams in the game. Some guys just play for no challenge whatsoever.

That being said, had my finishing been better, I could've scored 6 of my own.

Just played 3 games online there.

First guy picked Madrid so I picked my counter-Madrid team Spurs. Beat him 3-1. Didn't want a replay.

Second guy picked Ajax so I picked Fulham to be balanced. He beat me 2-1.

Third guy picked, you guessed it, Madrid. I beat him with Spurs 3-0. The disappointing thing about this guy was that he started on Djurgardens (sp?) so I was going to pick an Irish team. But no, straight to La Liga.

I'm fortunate in that I have a few guys today who liked playing as shit teams. I played a couple as Plymouth, one as Hull and one as Ipswich against Southampton x 2, Swansea and QPR.

Still won all 4 but makes for a more entertaining game.

Inspired by your recent games as lower league teams, I did the same for a few games today. I played as QPR and beat a guy who was Bayern Munich 3-1, played as Ipswich and beat a guy who chose QPR 3-1 and drew 0-0 as Norwich against Lyon. It really does test your passing ability and your anticipation in defence as you don't have the players who are strong enough or quick enough sometimes. I was fortunate to not have to face any seriously challenging teams though.

I know what you mean, when you play as the big teams you defence has pace, strength and talent, whereas with the weaker teams you have to think more and it's less about holding the close down buttons and more about anticipating the plays and following their players in the box more closely.

It's reinvigorated my interest in the game, and has given me a good boost in my ranking points.

I started a "world tour" on FIFA online, where I wanted to play with every team, starting with the Australian League. I stopped by the time I reached the Premier League, because it was so hard for peole to agree to play against half star teams. They'd either exit from the match selection page, or try to get you to pick a better team.

On the xbox, no matter whether you win or lose, you always get abusive messages from little kids. Its quite pathetic really and the whole FIFA must win at all costs attitude is gay. Why can't they just play for fun? If they're not winning they quit or freeze the game ending in me losing the game for some reason?
