In career mode it doesn't seem like players do not lose enough energy between matches. Maybe the effect gets stronger throughout the season but not having any problems with my entire roster being ready on Sunday, then again on Tues/Wed, and then again on Saturday.

I found an annoying bug when playing with my Millwall team in career mode. For some reason the commentator mixes between calling James Henry, regular James Henry and calling him James 'Thierry' Henry :unsure: I don't understand how such a basic bug has come about and I wonder, has it happened to anyone else with other players?

Is it just me or has this years Fifa lost some of the magic experienced when scoring goals? Last season there was a great variation of different goals where as this year everyone is cutting in at the angle and powering in shots from outside the box?

I don't know how to put my finger on it but it's not as good.

I've scored a variety of goals, but the CPU appears to be attempting to score the same way each time. Last year, it was bad enough when human opposition always attempted lofted through balls, but it's more frequent with the CPU.

I'm still trying to get used to the new first touch system, but then again, I'm currently playing Career Mode with a shit team.

I am currently tinkering with the game sliders in an attempt to improve the gameplay in offline modes. At default I was struggling to find any enjoyment or diversity, regardless of the difficulty.

If this quest for custom sliders fall short, then I hope that reverting back to default settings can at least bring about an appreciation for the 'out of the box' game, otherwise I will likely end up trading the game very, very soon.

Against human opponents FIFA is really good, but the CPU AI is far too limited.

To put that to one side and discuss my actual career mode.

I started in League 2 with Burton Albion. It is a struggle! I saw my first friendly out 1-0 before being humbled 4-1 in the second match. I forget the result of the third friendly, but I was not victorious.

I then had a run of three consecutive 0-0 draws in the league, before a 1-1 draw to be followed by two 1-0 victories. I'm looking at the positives of being undefeated, and my reserve keeper Dean Lyness is in scintillating form. Billy Kee has also found a shade of form with two goals in two games, after replacing Calvin Zola up front.

I think I've got the First Touch error set to 60 CPU; 50 User although it might be 50-50.

I could see turning up the first touch error for CPU; seems like they have zero touch error.

I usually turn up the CPU pass error to 60-65. But I wish I could control the CPU in air passes. I am like a broken record on this topic but bugs me to see emergency defensive clears sail directly to a CPU MF every single time. If I have a corner cleared by the CPU it is guaranteed to be turned into an offensive attack.

Well we all knew that really. EA have been tweaking their game engine and the game's presentation ever so slightly year after year for as long as can remember.

Yeah, even given EA's reputation, this takes it to a completely different level. When I seen the photos from both the IGN and Nintendo Gamer website, I just thought 'is this even allowed? Is this legal?'.

It really is quite disgraceful.

But that takes the meaning of lazy to a whole new level, but suckers will buy it anyway.

would you rather they make small tweaks and improvements or try to revolutionize the game every year and you have the debacle that was the shift from PES 2011 to PES2012.

EA Madden does the same thing, and everytime they have tried to make a big jump they screw it up. You fix what is broke, not what isn't.

This is true. Especially when they release a game every year. The thing that annoys me the most are things that get added to the game which break something that was working perfectly in the game before.

Players develop (and deteriorate) really quickly in this game. I'm not even half-way through my second season, and I have a player that lept up 8 points on his overall ratings. On the flipside, once a player reaches 30, they start to turn shit: first the physical side drops (fair enough), but some of the technique and mentality should stay the same.

Neither, but I feel my index relates to the game. Frickin hard to get a shot off. I swear the CPU defense closes in two paces when you hit the shot button. It must have Mr. Fantastic leg because I can have a step on a defender on a sprint and shoot with my opposite foot and have it blocked.
