Would be want to start in the top flight or take a punt in a lower division, that is the question!

I actually think the beauty of a game with a group in FM is that we could almost all do what we wanted to.

Granted, I think it would spice things up to all play in the same country or even better the same division, but I'm not adverse to people choosing teams in different divisions to suit their own challenge. Imagine drawing a rival in a cup.

Personally, I like low and obscure. Norwegian Regional leagues, that kind of thing.

Moving onto the practicalities...

I would be willing to host it on my PC so it does the leg-work.

I would be available on the following time-slots:

Saturday evening (variable time, depends on where I'm playing football)
Sunday 6pm onwards
Wednesday 7pm onwards
Thursday 7pm onwards

I've played quite a bit with some of the lads I pal with, basically we'd all have to be on at the same time but that doesn't stop the rest of the group from continuing, all that happens is the assistant manager takes charge of who ever's missing and when they log back on they continue on from where the present game is, so if the group play 10 games you miss 10 games.

All in all it plays well if people don't take the piss and spend like an hour a turn trolling the players and tactics. I'm not 100% on this but I think you can set a timer.

Would we be thinking the full mode or the more arcade version?

Mon - Ball 7-8 good after 9
Tues- Band, time changes from afternoon to evening session
Wed - Me good
Thurs - Band
Fri - Ball 7-8 good after 9
Sat - Free unless I've a gig
Sun - Free

How many of you lads are night owls and what time do you normally shut down for the night?

This looks like a good idea guys. There's no way I'd be able to join in because my schedule can be so unpredictable and random that it would be impossible to commit to anything, but just wanted to wish you well & I hope you can work something out & keep us all updated as to how it goes!

For the record, if I was taking part I think it'd be much better if everyone at least started in the same league, whichever or wherever it may be.

I think the Championship is a good shout, then see where the job offers come from and go our own ways if that's what people want to do.

8 years in charge of Kettering Town, I have now taken them from Blue Square North to the Premiership.

After no less than two hours of pissing about and trawling teams, I finally decided on who I would manage: Red Star FC '93, of the French Championnat National.

So far, all I can tell you is that Steve Marlet is my assistant coach and I have Franck Queudrue on my playing staff.

I will be sure to keep you updated on my progress, which so far only includes signing a 17-year-old French-Algerian on loan.

I've really rattled on with my Kettering game. Currently in October 2024 and sitting 3rd in the Premiership after 5 games. This is my 4th season in the Premiership, in my first season I finished 7th which was a real surprise. Fortunately someone else got the final Europa League spot due to winning the League Cup. The next season I finished 7th again but this season I won both domestic Cups. Last season I broke into the top four and finished 3rd. Also won the FA Cup again and defeated Liverpool in the Europa League. So it was another double for the team. Got a few super regens at the club, last summer I rejected £44m from United for my DCM. My main focus is on winning the league and trying to improve the stadium, facilities, level of training, scouting etc. Below are a tonne of screens to show my progress:

Quite a change from my first season in charge, was first for about 95% of the season then lost my third to last game against Norwich 1-0 which caused me to lose the league :( in consolation though I did win the FA Cup.

Latest season,
