I thought the final battle could have been tougher/more enjoyable. I couldn't beat him on my first few attempts, as I was using a shotgun and grenade launcher which take too long to reload, but once the machine gun is used, you can fire dozens of shots at his head, and kill him quite easily. I was expecting loads more enemies to come forward for one final onslaught, but it finished quite abruptly. Still, doesn't deny the fact it's one of the greatest games ever created.

thanks for that mate i have not been playing much as college exams get in the way but a only up to the bit where you have to drive that tank from the petrol station to the other guys and use the uv gun to keep the bloody swam away from your men which is not the easiest in my opinion well i have had one go and failed so far.

It's not too bad, that bit, but the Kryll really did piss me off over the course of the game.

They usually attack from behind the car, so try to keep a look out for them there, and obviously do it as quick as possible so they don't get too close, so as soon as they're within your sight, try and laser them down. I can remember one section where there's dozens of them that attack the car from behind, so it's crucial that you're alert and quick, or else they'll swarm all over the van, and you'll find it difficult to stop the attack.

The guy from the gas station tells you where they're coming from..ie. by saying "six oclock" etc. If you switch to the UV lamp quick enough you'll get them before they even get close.

Started the campaign on insane there last night... fook it's hard. It takes much longer to "heal" after a hit than in hardcore so you really have to stay in cover or your screwed. Even the prison break is hard!!

I've completed it on Casual, Hardcore and Insane, also got all 30 COG tags and the Clusterluck achievement :D, other then all the versus achievements I still need to get the Dom one where you complete all 5 acts on one difficulty as him..

Great game but Rainbow 6 has stolen my life. Me and my mates play it right up until just after 2 which is great because the I have time to settle down and watch cricket. May swap GOW for THP8 tomorrow just because I can.

I just bought the game yesterday and I think it's excellent.

I've reached the Nightfall bit, where I need to get more amo by the river, but the problem is, I HAVE NO AMO! All I have is a few granades and Dom. I tried a couple of times to get to the amo as is, but I got killed, then I turned on PES6 instead. :blush:

Is there any chance of me getting past those monsters (I haven't really learnt their names yet), or should I just start again?

I've just defeated the second Berserker, so tbh, im not that far. The Locust Machine Gunners really do piss me off, as do the Kryll. Great game though. Although I do slightly agree with greenegg about Rainbow six being better. But there both great games, and are worthy to be a game of your 360 game collection.

This game would be fine with friends, but there are too many arsehole Yanks talking about how many big macs they can fit in their mouths. I keep getting kicked out of games on Rainbow 6 too, cause I don't have a high rank.
