Right, figured something out on the photo's...
Only premium cars can be used with the photo mode on the GT mode home page (box to the right of the used car dealerships). Standard cars have to be snapped in replay mode using the photo mode option available during said replay.
Once your pic is taken, save it in your photo library. Exit photo/replay mode then go to the library (the camera icon on the left hand side of the GT mode home page)
Highlight car in the photo library, press triangle & select "Export to XMB Photo menu" from the menu. Then you have to quit the game & transfer the image from the XMB photos bit to a mem card to your PC.
Below is my premium '88 Supra taken in photo mode...

From a purely driving experience, which game do you prefer - Forza 3 or GT 5?
Do you find there's a big difference between each game (Forza and GT) in how the cars handle or are they quite similar.
Definately Forza 3. It has shown a significant improvement from 2, both aesthetically and in its play & extras. So GT5 has 4-500 more cars and a greater range, but for me Forza just feels better.
Now if Forza can just create a patch to include weather...

I like the camera angle in GT5 where you're in the cockpit of the car, the actual inside of the car's are spot on - they've got the Nissan 350z down to a tee...although it's impossible to drive using that angle if it's raining and someone is in front of you - all you see is road spray

I've had Forza 3 for about 6 months now and I've only driven about 25% of the cars (About 100) so I feel 400 cars is plenty for me, let alone 1,000+!!
Hopefully Forza 4 will have weather, night driving and a bit of rally. It'd be the perfect game then

That's my favourite driving view, which is why the whole standard/premium thing was so frustrating. Just feels lazy.

Got this game for Christmas and not been able to play it yet.
When I put the disc in to play, it asks me to download the latest update [1.0.5] which is 600mb roughly. So I go to download it and takes fucking forever, before stopping and giving me this message..
'An error occured during the download operation (80710723).'
I've tried this update several times, rebooted the PS3 and router as it tells me to do in the suggested actions, still no luck. Last time I tried, got up to 22% after about 2 hours :faceplm:
There's no problems with my internet connection on all my other games. No problem downloading demos :no:
At the moment the only reason I can think of, as to why this is happening, is because the servers are overloaded and the demand from people all over the world is too much.
Is there a way of sorting this, or is it a case of just patience and persistence?
I haven't got to the bit where the game takes 8gb of your hard drive yet; I can't imagine how long that would take :/

Patience & persistence is probably the key. I've not heard of any major issue with the update & haven't tried it my self yet. Will give it a go in a bit.
Btw. The install is damn slow & lies on the predicted completion time.
For a re-hash with nothing that hasn't been done better already... :mellow:

Right Berry, Update downloaded in ~10 mins, with the install a further 4-5 minutes. All done.
Your error is usually related to a server issue, so you may have just been unlucky. I'd try again, maybe turn off & re-start your router first... you never know.

Glad the thing decided to work late last night!
Had a good few races this morning; I'm shit at driving games and GT5 is no exception. It's hard to keep the car on the track and also stay on the 'racing line', but hey the graphics make the game for me. They're just amazing.
I had a go at Karting earlier, man that's even worse - a good laugh though :lol:
My dad is seriously shit at it, good times.

B-Spec is an arse. The drivers are supposed to get better with experience, but it's so damn painful to watch them fuck up despite giving them a far superior car to their opposition, that I doubt I'd have the patience to keep plugging away.

Can we view our friends garages? I want to see what cars you are all driving. I've took a photo of my main car, but i've recently bought a Plymouth Cuda and can't figure out how to take a picture of it during the race (it's a standard car). It's gorgeous and I want you all to cream over it.
