It's interesting to see that many opinions about the demo in here.

I'm really looking forward to try this defence system using R3. I won't download the 2nd demo - will wait for the final version of the game

First impressions are really good.
The pace of the match is a lot truer.
I think the stand up tackle is to ineffective though. When your defending and tracking one of there players and using pressure button to close the man down with the ball is also to ineffective for me,as the AI just usually just skip past you . Ball control seems to have been toned down and is a lot more believable.Shooting seems excellent.

Just played a few games on top player and despite getting hammered first 2 matches i can see once you get over the learning curve and try to rid your habits of previous pes,i can see 2012 being a great game.I think the first 2 games i was still playing how i played 2011 overplaying the ball and forgetting now i can actually get my players to open up his legs and lose the defender when they get behind the defense. Finally i am now looking forward to release date.

You hated the 1st demo.... Why are you positive about the 2nd demo? Is it the pace more than anything else?

What are your thoughts on the PES 2012 demos Amateur?

Haven't played either one, and considering the game will be released in about 10 days or so, I'll probably skip the demos. Though having watched some videos, my impression is that close control seems to be too good for all the players, at least in PES11 you could notice a considerable difference. And the other thing that I'm most concerned about is the pace, it appeared to be too arcade-like in the 1st demo, though Mak mentioned that the pace is "truer" in the 2nd demo, which certainly is a positive.

The thing that I'm most interested in, is the new off the ball movement feature, which I have barely noticed in the videos. What are your thoughts on the demos?

:erm:
Again the cursor name issue.
I don't like the name above the players!, and when you turn it off, is only in your players, but CPU still have it

I like the Player Info Bar better...

You can turn of CPUs player names above their head in the settings in the main page.

Great game. Pes is finally back.

i hated thge first demo and rage deleted after blatant scripting. The second demo, however, is good. i cant wait to get the game. I beat rangers 3 - 0 as inter with 2 screamers from stankovic, i loved the feeling of scoring. then i got beat 4-0 as spurs v bayern, no obvious scripting and i had a few chances too.

I think Konami Dun Goofed by releasing that piece of shit 1st demo though, i knmow a lot of people wont even try the 2nd one and therefore wont get the game either.

I would rate the first demo as 4 and the 2nd one as 5 out of 10.

PES 2011 for example was a 4.

Third party gameplay patch is required if you want to play this game. This patch improves the in-game controls, the ball control, passes and handling of the ball, to a very satisfying condition.
Game looks much better. And, with the additional eye candy features and the good ai makes up a very arcade friendly game.

Still nearly impossible to take the ball away from the attacker without fouling.

Still impossible to use the defenders body to cover the ball without fouling.

Still impossible to out-run a forward when you're controlling a defender.

Still no runs from the forwards while on the counter.

Im just being realistic brah, obviously a perfect 10 is impossible, because you can never please everyone so the top grade possible is probably around 9, this demo here is about 5-5.5 , decent game with some improvements over 2011 but many flaws still remain and new ones emerged. I was expecting at least a 6.5 out of KONAMI this year, maybe it would be close to that if not for some obvious and annoying things such as close control/passing/speed etc... that seem to be WAY too good for pretty much every player and the bad thing about it is that its not bad stats on KONAMI's part but that they toned down the difference between someone with a 70 stat and someone with a 80, for example in some areas its pretty much impossible to see any difference in a raise of 10 in a certain stat, so even editing stats won't fix this problem.

sadly thats only a few issues, im really disapointed in KONAMI, haven't they been receiving our feedback!?

played fifa 12 whole day yesterday ... i didnt feel like im in total control , something something missing.i was forced to play in a certain way or may be i am being offered less options . but in pes 12 , it feels like players are behaving like your second nature .and the best thing of 2nd demo was drawing a line between deffence and offence .. like in demo 1 the players were untouchable , i mean dribling was too fast to become realistically possible.it was a bit frustrating for the defending side even though the defenders were smart enough the intercept a lot of the attacks , yet you didnt feel the controll of your defence army. now its perfectly balanced . some guys could feel the demo 1 was harder cause u couldnt even touch the attackers :D now its sorted and i m liking it Game on !

with all due respect for fifa lovers , the game certainly lack life and the buzz that feel while playing pes12. pes12 has fundamentally improved its core so much that im sure fifa guys will have tough time imitating it next year ( like most fo the

fifa is shite but how can you say you have perfect control in pes 2012? you can't push the ball a bit further away from ur feet if you want to cut into the defender's side ( apart from using R1+R2 which is automated and random direction ) due to everyone having Messi like control of the ball no matter if you jog or sprint or whatever u do, u have no control to do what I just explained and R1+R2 is completely automated, why can't we at least choose what direction we want to cut too?

Cmon people are running like they seriously have the ball glued to their feet even when they sprint even when they cut or change directions at speed, they keep the ball glued to their feet, even Messi doesnt do that in real life its not possible to keep it so close all the time changing directions and under pressure.
