As I got into it though the whole pre demo talk of it being slowed down rang true as neither of Walcott or Oxlaide-Chamberlain could get away more than a few feet and would be caught and it looks like konami have messed with one of the most basic rules of a football game for the third year running, speed.

That's not true at all. I use Vagner Love up front for Flamengo, I get the ball with him and use the diagonal push and dash and he speeds past defenders as if they're not there. You can't just hold the ball and run super speed, you need to push the ball ahead and stride onto it.

Loving this bloody demo, can not wait for the full game.
Player ID is just a bloody joy.
Rooney is a tank and seems to be all over the pitch and Welbeck is just a little speedy sod hanging on defenders shoulders waiting for any excuse to run past them.
I know people have mentioned Neymar and Ronaldinho, and with good reason, the feeling you get when you have one of them on the ball is superb.

I really like the midfield maestro's Pirlo for example, yea he may not be the fastest player in the world, but dam his range of passing is immense wether it's assited or manuel.
Give him the ball and a bit of space and he just dictats the game.

Personally; I can't really see that much difference from 2012.

Well there ever be another football game which has the "WOW" factor? I don't think so.

If this is the best they can serve after over a year in production, heaven forbid...

Yeah, that's odd but I've seen a few people make that statement. Personally, the difference between the two games couldn't be starker. One was a torrid slog the other is a promising return to form by Konami. Vive le PES2013!

I don't get the people that are being down about this game.

For me, it is the first time I have felt this good about a football game in YEARS. I have spent about 5 hours playing the demo because it is just outright fun.

I'm just praying Konami don't ruin it in the time they have before release...

P.S. Does anyone know if Konami has any plans to implement some kind of 'Clubs' gametype like the one in FIFA?

Onlyproevo said the following (not demo related but still PES-related)
'Licensing news should come within the next month or so.

And to clear up the confusion, Konami will license Manchester United and one other side in the Premier League.'

Personally I think it'd be Liverpool since Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Everton are all exclusively licensed by FIFA.

I'm not fussed about the EPL, I'm ganting to find out what the extended league range will be, Brazil? Argentina?

From what I've gathered, the J-League will be included because the logo of the J-League was on the preview code of the game. I'm sure there will be some south american licensed leagues because KONAMI have said that A) Copa Libertados will be on Master League and B) There will be a South American Master League. Dunno about it being licensed or not though.

Excellent news, what source provided this info?

I am torn on this demo.

On the one hand it is the best PES I have played since PES 6. Movement and reactions look and feel much better than previous games this gen.

How ever I do have some rather large problems.

1. The A.I is useless. They won't make runs and rarely try to find space.
2. The Keepers are pure crap. Shoot low and they have no answer. really poor.

Also as somebody who has really been away from this franchise for 6 years it seems the controls are rather overly complicated and complex for no real reason.

I mean why have uncomfortable button configurations like RT+RB + face button  it isn't natural or comfortable

I am enjoying the demo though but it still isn't without big problems for me.
