PES 2013 - First game play trailer

Ali

It is happening again
But if you did, you'll see the major faults behind the gloss. You can easily realisze this by playing the demos. PES might not be great, but when you play FIFA the same amount of irritation reaches an equilibrium as both are equally bad in different ways. Hopefully the years to come will be better for footbal games in general

Right..... that's wonderful, but all I said was "People diss PES because it's gone shit". No mention of Fifa whatsoever.

I don't want to go to to much into it, because I believe total ignorance is the perfect tonic for something you disagree with for the right reasons. The best advice I can give to anybody is to not give IT the time of day, your view or your comments.

The only reason why its successful, is because the demographic matches up with the same sales demographic of FIFA and it clicks into place. EA tend to aim games at demographics, which would explain why the UFC has now shaken the beasts hand.

IT is not the only puppet on youtube or the internet for that matter stirring pots on behalf of EA. There is a handful, especially on youtube who do it, I find it very childish, but of course, people who fall for the gloss will not have a bad word to say about it all.

All I can say is, choose to believe me or not, I really don't care.

IT used to be present on the official FIFA forums, many moons ago, a troll of the highest order on the forums, I was there, I witnessed it. Then a select few started, as if magically, sucking up to all of EA and a select few were pushed and encouraged to widen the bucket. The same few, who were all once cussing EA left right and centre.....until the devs started throwing invites around to a select few in the community to go over to canada, there opinions soon changed and so did the strategy.

It would also explain the sort of money they are making on youtube, believe me, they are major pawns in EA's agenda, especially for the teens/dub step market. They can easily be got at, and this is how EA rake the money in.

You see, people know the games have problems, yet still buy them and this is exactly what they want.

The ideal solution for people with there heads screwed on would be to have no association with the business or its affiliates and spend no money on the products, until the products are worthy. Actions do indeed speak louder than words, and its the only way EA will listen.

But like I said, there is a select few literally side by side with EA, and the only people who will deny it, are those blind and caught in the spiders web.

I could provide all the names that I know of, but if you head over to the forums (I stay clear of it now) you will soon see there are plenty of shills and plants littered over the forum. I call them firemen, and these are also part of EA's structure.

Some of you will obviously ignore this and call me crazy, but I was on there well before Rutter and his team were making the game, and slowly but surely it all went down hill. I spotted it, called it and walked away, which coincidentally was closely followed by the timed "youtube boom" that we see today.

There are at least 5 on there forums, being plants and 10 or so on youtube.

All eating of the same table. You better believe it. ;)

Take this information or leave it. All i've done is opened the door, walk through it if you want.

(sorry for extended post)

This is something I agree with. I just hate seeing Fifa on a pedestal because it appeals to a wider audience and then see it claim a title (the best representation of football) that it doesn't deserve. Fact is both pes and fifa need to pull of something good because both are in dire need of improvement.

As for the trailers. Well they look nice and all and I really like that first touch thing and "manual" shooting because the way the player is shooting couldn't be done in pes 12 by any means. Those hard low shots were beautiful. Then the first touch. A plague it was before and I hope to see something as good as it looks on the trailer. BTW it was great that Konami stepped it up in terms of trailer representation.

But the thing that always worries me, THE DEFENCE. Until that is sorted, pes 13 cannot be a balanced game. But if it is sorted, it might actually be a really playable game this time. But to judge, I am gonna wait for the demo because that is a true representation of what to expect.

Well, we'll get the demo in early July I heard. Defending worries me and atlast there is an actual standing tackle button which you press two times to stick youe leg out depending on the position you are with the player in possession.

This is the last game on the engine and probably next gen and so far they haven't make a balanced game from 08 so hopefully this year, the last chance, they will kill the generation off and produce a good game finally. If they don't I'm going to have nothing to play in the next couple of years as I wouldn't be able to afford a PS4 if it comes out.

Also, they're doing that thing when they release a demo, get feedback, release anoher one etc.
Its not clear though if they'll be releasing two or three demos in the coming months so we'll have to wait and see

Did you actually get booked over comments you made on the video by KSI? :shocking:

I have been cursing the devs on PES for so long and actually praising Fifa for a while now but you have not been on any side of the fence.
You have always remained somewhat neutral saying both good and bad things about both games. I respect that, so i don't think you deserved that booking.

I follow and subbed KSI on youtube only for one reason....the dude is hilarious period. Coon Army ....Hahhaaaaaa. He basically does his vids to attract views thru comedy. No one should take his comments seriously. He has fail vids on Fifa too that are really funny too.

Still too early for us to get our panties in a bunch over PES13. A lot of speculations but nothing concrete to really argue about. Fifa looks the same also ...no visible improvements over last years edition.

Keep ur head up Abu, and don't be like Shaun7....its not a crime to like one video game over another.

Although you do not part take in it....a lot of other fans like Shaun7 hate to see others praise EA's efforts. As one poster said .....we are only complaining that PES has done nothing over the past years to put the game on the high level where it once was. Basically that statement has nothing to do with Fifa. But since Fifa is its only direct competition...them comparisons, opinions and preferences will differ. That should not cause us to fight and cuss other out.

What do you mean? I always say the truth and if fifa is the better game I would say it. But at this point in time, neither pes nor fifa deserve praise.

Oh and I hate EA praise because they simply do not deserve it and the fact that some people place fifa on a pedestal makes me sick.

To be honest, when I get frustrated with PES, I turn and say FIFA is better as it isn't frustrating at first but when you play it for longer, you realize how boring it is and frustrating so you go back to PES, then FIFA. They're as frustrating as each other.

Also, I got booked by double posting :hmm:

I can praise EA for producing a better game than FIFA in the past few years but currently, I'm fed up with both

:D ...you cannot make up your mind which is better or worst.

Its natural to skip between games, i have seen a few here who have stated they have switched back to PES ...and loving it.

At the end of the day we are the ones who get shafted. Neither EA or Konami gives a crap about us. All they really care about (cannot blame them really) is their bottom line or profit margins.

At one time I actually believed that the Fish liked creating the games he did back in the PS2 days. Now, I am extremely pessimistic over the direction of each game. EA knows they have the millions hooked like brainless zombies ..so no matter what at this point, they will make a profit.

Konami on the other hand seems to have accepted their place as second best. They do not appear to have the technology or skill set to create the game we all have in our heads as fans of their once decorated title.

So why argue against each other? Of whom does this bickering benefit?
Are we really mad at each other about both games poor design?
maybe our angers are being channeled in the wrong direction.

Well with that said.......I am mad at Shaun7 because he jumped ship without notifying the Fifa team leader ..ME.

That was a biach arse move Shaun ....WTF ..why ...why did you do it Shaun? Are you being paid to hate Fifa?

If you apologize, but only if.....we will consider taking you back bro....

I know for a fact that I didn't include you in my list because you only come here to piss people off. In real life, you do not praise Fifa.

Yeah, yeah ;)

No. If it would be so, I would have been praising Pes and hating on Fifa, when in reality, I posted against both games. So no pay money for me. :(

Back to where? To fifa? At this point in time, NO. Maybe if Fifa actually improves and overhauls the gameplay, then I will happily jump ship, but until that happens, I am going to stay in the middle hoping that someday a good football game will be made.

I'm probably as stubborn as it gets to game settings and slider use. I like to play on the hardest difficulty and refuse to touch sliders. I ain't gonna lie or be arrogant, but I am pretty good when it comes to football games. Not many can or have touched me, when I used to play online couple of years ago. For 10 or so years, in the PS2 years I was glued to Pro Evo, always used to play on Top Player (or 6 stars if available) and 99% of the time, I'd batter the CPU. PES 2008, (missed out 2009), 2010, 2011 were all played on Top Player as usual, no problem whatsoever. But this year, it is pretty much impossible for me to play either football game on the higher difficulties.

It's just so cheaty and rubberbanded, no game is ever 50/50, and the CPU always seem to get some sort of stat boost. Your A.I. is terrible and it seems like everything drops 5% where the CPU gains an advantage over that. I think this says it all about football games today, a player like me who would control games on hardest difficultys, is now being put of the games.

I mean, FIFA, from FIFA 08 to 10, I was a top 500 player in the UK online. SO i'm no average player, but now that I steer away from online, and play offline, both games today are so rigged on higher difficulties, its untrue.

Hundreds of games of FIFA 12 on World Class, and I downright refused to touch sliders, because I see it as a form of cheating and creating a different game to online modes. But yesterday, I put my hands up and admitted just how bad the game is and thought f*ck it, the CPU is so blatantly fixed, I'm gonna tone down its sliders, to create an even game. I didn't change my sliders at all, but I adjusted the CPU's accordingly, not massive amounts, but evening the game out, trying to take there advantages in a game away on the higher difficulties. So i wouldn't be knocking all there sliders right down to 0, but knocking them down by 1 or 2, depending on what is needed.

and guess what?

The game STILL tries its very best to screw you over!

It plays better than it did, but the problems still exist, this confirms to me what I already knew previously, it is the code, it is the game.

They just don't make em like they used to anymore. AT ALL.

^Exactly. When the problem is fundamental, no patches, fixes or sliders can fix it because to fix it, you have to build a new engine and we all know that it won't happen any time soon.

I like some of the new dribble animations but I wonder how overpowering these moves may become. On PES2011 the linked feints became the domain of one trick ponies online and with Arshavin in particular it was a bitch to defend against.

On the plus side, as much as I loathed PES2012 I suspect I may keep hold of PES2013 longer than 24 hours. They need to find the balance in the AI difficulty as well without dumbing down user controlled response. And my pet hate, CPU controlled players ignoring form arrows and stats.

If they can find the right incremental shift between Normal, Pro and Top player that will certainly be a great starting point. The difference between Normal and Pro was absurd in my opinion on PES2012. I always play on Top Player but that was insane, especially as a smaller club on ML but I gave up as the AI decided my defenders were opposed to keeping their shape without the ball.

The thing is, lots of people play on the higher difficulties on the 2012 football games, and all say the same thing, no problem on previous installments, but these are an absoloute joke, to the point where, you might aswell put your controller down, and let it do it by itself. It's out of your hands anyway, even button input and control is effected over your own players, lack of being able to switch players, even on manual cursor switching, poorer shots, bad passes, players not in your control getting sucked into magnetic forcefields for the CPU to exploit and cheese.

You'll then get the smart arses "learn to play the game n00b!" "learn to defend n00b"

Thing is, I've played both games extensively to know the game inside out. For instance it takes a while to learn the defending system on Pro Evo, once you get its, you should theoretically be fine, but that isn't the case. You can RT and A all you want to time tackles, you can wait and wait and wait, time it perfectly and the CPU will still waltz past you as soon as you put a foot in.

Like FIFA, the game reacts INSTANTLY to user button input, that is how the games have been coded today, that is scripted. This is made even harder when you start to get button delay/button lag on top of that. Obviously the excuse is, "We tried to make the CPU more human-like"......The CPU should react to problems as the situation unfolds, not instantly to your button presses, direction presses. Not even a human player online can see your button presses and act instantly.

I've even had "scripty" penalties go my way on FIFA, and I just know the keeper will save it as soon as soon as I've made the input.

Both games aren't random enough, Pro Evo at least USED to be the majority of the time, NOT NO MORE!

I duno about pes anymore. Its just so hard to accept the clunky roboticness of every next gen version. fifa may have its problems but my good it feels good when players like neymar start tearing teams up. fifa moves so well and that alone could beat pes. this is the first year i will not bw buying pes outright.

pes 12 was shockingly unrealistic imo. player movement was poor and player models of anyone who isnt a massive player were fucking shit. the ball definitely is elasticated to a players foot. so stupid.

these days i barely play games anymore and when u have fifa online its just easy to play. masterleague is redundent now. it was good on ps2 when u cld kock out a season in a day and then u cld sign players and ur players wld develop. now however it takes like a month to get throigh a season so player development means fuck all cos by the 3rd season the next game wld have come out and it takes like 10 seasons to see a real difference.

i think it will be alright but last year i felt it was incredibly arcadey and not natural or realistic when knocking it around. now fifa have tonned down overpowering defending the games are well thought out and you can play it realistically and keeping possession is a joy and important.

All developers talk a good game and sell the games like hotcakes. The fact of the matter is, the games are speaking a totally different language to the sales pitches they are putting out. So for me, they can say what they want, the proof is in the pudding. Both Konami and EA Sports have been saying these things for years before they release.

"This "new" "revolutionary" game does this, this, this and this, we've fixed this, we've fixed that, here are the fancy names for it".....so how come, for the last 5 years at least, I've been getting a different vibe and seeing nothing but problems with every yearly release? Why am I not enjoying the football game like I used to on PES6? A game I would STILL quite happily play now, I played it for hours and hours years ago, a football game that good, you didn't need to buy another Pro Evo for a couple of years!

How about shutting up, stop trying to make the quick money, knock the crooked house down and rebuild and REDEVELOP your game, making sure the game is up to scratch and the best it possibly can be BEFORE you release it?

We all know its not gonna happen, the developers don't care anymore. So next years football games will be more of the same, give it a couple of weeks if that, and you'll notice all the gamebreaking problems again, same as this year, same as the year before, and the year before that.

Until they start booking there ideas up and making games worthy for release, they will never change.

Such a shame to see computer games today.

They should abandon the current engine and have a new start with a new team. I'm not impressed, the animations still look crap and the whole ball glued to foot physics are getting old IMO.

A. There will be a new engine for PES 2014 intime for the next-gen consoles
B. Some animations look great such as Ronaldo's dribbling style or Kaka's etc. So you cannot say on the whole animations still look crap
C. The ball movs for freely now from the trailers and has a better bounce to it so I can't see what you're seeing

ive heard that pes 2013 will be the last game with the uefa CL licenced...

Where do you hear all this from? :bs:
